Bravo to Dr. Funk for calling herself out for having vilified soy once upon a time-that’s the sign of a person with REAL integrity!

Eating the source of all essential nutrients from a diversity of plants and fungi is the kindest, healthful, and the most sustainable.
Anyone who claims vegan is expensive doesn’t know beans and potatoes.

I will pass this on to my wife. I doubt she will take this seriously. Wish she would but I have my doubts.

In the title surely you all meant 2023, not 20023.

I don't if i'm still alive to see this ;). Even a whole plant exclusive diet won't bring me there.

Ground flaxseeds become rancid after exposing to air and heat. Dr Kristi mentioned about the flaxseed muffins. I don't understand why we still can benefit from eating the muffins. Can someone explain that? Tks!

We freeze the flax seeds then grind them, then make the muffins, smoothie, breakfast cereal, etc.

The USA recommends women have mammograms more OFTEN than any other Country! The INCREASED exposure to radiation may be to blame for the INCREASED breast cancer!

smoothie recipe at 44:38. I'd swap out green tea for barley grass powder - because it's more nutritious, takes fewer resources to grow, and avoids the neurotoxic stimulant: caffeine! Same with cacao - you cna swap it out for carob no problem!! (well it has natural sugars, but still - it avoids the caffeine). Instead of red grapes - concord's the best - her words! (or was it Chuck or Dr. Barnard's? Someone said it). Some citrus is more sugary than others - beware. What about ginger? Only turmeric? But isn't turmeric high in oxalates? How can the body circulate that way? Where's the amaranth - high in lysine?

The body can handle oxalates fine.

She adds green tea since there are studies with evidence that the EGCG in green tea kills cancer in a petrie dish.
