      Definitely love my Redshift stem on the gravel bike. I wish they came in -12d 140mm. I'd have it on my road bikes with a stiffer elastomer if they came long enough.

  • @matthewnormand2041

    Wise choice on the Redshift suspension stem and seatpost. Really makes riding on rough surfaces less fatiguing and increases control and confidence. I have the Pro version seatpost and 90mm stem on the gravel bike. Does incur a weight penalty over standard components (about 300 grams) but it is more than offset by gains in comfort and control IMHO.

  • @ZenEndurance

    I think the head tube extension is a great idea. You can have additional stack, while still keeping it slammed and it likely provides some good rigidity as well. When you become more flexible or sell the bike, it can be removed. I hope it is durable though.

      They had a video (the one mentioned in the first mins) where Manon and other rider tried a MTB and gravel bike, and I think Manon with the gravel bike did better and seem more 'manageable' for the condition. That being said, I think the other rider used a full suspension. So, maybe an in between bike (hard tail) might be better in a race like this... it'll be interesting to see

    • @fabioqueiros9322
      @fabioqueiros9322 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Two issues: first, not sure if the UCI gravel series allow for XC bikes. It is UCI, after all.
      Second: the route had a lot of flat fire roads, so the XC bike would probably lose out due to lower top speed
