Diwali is known as the celebration of lights and the triumph of good over evil - but what is the origin of this colorful Hindu celebration? Who are Rama, Sita, King Dashratha, Hanuman, and the ten-headed demon King Ravana? Why are homes cleaned, illuminated with diyas, and windows opened to welcome the goddess Lakshmi?

This didn’t really do a good job explaining. Why did Ram get banished? It actually was his step mothers fault since she wanted her son to be king. This leaves out major details that are important to the entire story. When making a video about culture, put all the information please.

As it is Yom Kippur today. It´s a good day to start the fast, that can stop at Diwali in 18 days. I celebrated the Maa Kali version last year, like is done by the West-Bengals. It´s slightly different ans also beautiful, but I feel a bit more realistic, including the nasty things, to bring out the good.
