    I was actually curious about how to remove or disable them. If it had to be done a certain way or could be turned off via the app. Never mind.

      Hey @Misshowzat (great name BTW). All you would need to do is to pull the light reader of the PowerPal unit out of the meter and that's it. Then it would just be a matter of deleting the app off your phone or tablet and you're PowerPal free. 😊 Hope that helps.

      @@JustAwesomeCommercials Cheers 😉 That's good to know. It's so fiddly to have setup I wanted to be sure.

    Thanks for sharing this well made video. It was informative, and helpful in making my decision to acquire the system. Love the clarity in the narration too. Thank YOU for making this information available to everyone.

    Thanks Mr Projects - as this was a easy to understand & helpful video for all us Australian residents..................
    A very well laid out video, and now I just have to figure out if we even have a so-called "smart meter?"

    • @JustAwesomeCommercials
      @JustAwesomeCommercials  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for the support SingleRacer. I thought almost every household was upgraded to a Smart Meter. You can tell by looking at it. Does it have a rotating disk or does it have a digital display? The digital display one is a Smart Meter. 👍

    Very reassuring Powerpal presentation! Two questions:
    1. How is the installed bluetooth sensor powered? Does it need a battery or is it charged, or?
    2. If you have a granny-flat or business so two meters are installed side by side... Can you run two monitoring apps or do you need two smart-phones to monitor the two meters?
    Thank you

    • @JustAwesomeCommercials
      @JustAwesomeCommercials  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey Bonobo Norman. Two interesting questions which are probably best answered by Powerpal, but I'll do my best. The battery used for the Bluetooth Sensor lasts over 10 years. After that, l image it would just be a matter of replacing the sensor, rather than the battery. The software seems to only pair one code at a time, so you can only track one meter. My guess is that this is also a security precaution so you cannot tap into your neighbours setup. Hope that helps, but l would definitely look at the Powerpal website for clarification. Cheers.

    Great video, I was concerned the tech would need to come inside (place is a mess).

    • @JustAwesomeCommercials
      @JustAwesomeCommercials  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey Mick. No, the installer only needs access to the meter. I had to clean some spider webs away mid recording of that video though. One minute there're there, next second they're gone. 😉

    how is the app any different to my power suppliers app? it's all the same info

    • @JustAwesomeCommercials
      @JustAwesomeCommercials  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey Jared. It's great to hear that your Power Company has an app that you can download to monitor your energy consumption. My guess is that not every supplier provides one. Appreciate your comment. Cheers.

      You'll love it Aaron. It's fun to see just how much your electricity usage jumps up when you turn appliances on. Enjoy.

    I am interested to know if your app stores my electricity uses elsewhere besides inside the app please.

    • @JustAwesomeCommercials
      @JustAwesomeCommercials  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey Ivan. Just to be clear, it's not my app. I don't work for or have any association with PowerPal other than making a video about it. That being said, I can't see any reason why the usage data would be stored anywhere else but the app. The thing to remember is that it reads the data that is available for your Electricity Service Provider. PowerPal would have absolutely no use for this data. If you are concerned though, l would recommend getting in touch with PowerPal directly. All the best.

    • @MrTripcore

      They send it to government and if you are found to use too much power you go to gulag to die

    Thanks im getting my install next week. Any idea how this works if i use Amber as my provider?

    • @JustAwesomeCommercials
      @JustAwesomeCommercials  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey Nick. The provider doesn't matter, only the rates they charge. The installer will ask for your last bill and enter your peak, off peak and any other applicable rates into the app. Once that's done, the app takes over figuring out how many kw you are using and how much it's costing you. You'll love it. I check mine every day. Cheers.

      Hi Toni-anne. Sorry to hear your having trouble contacting them. They've usually been very easy to get in contact with. Others in the comment section also have had no problems. All l can suggest is to keep trying. I hope you get it sorted out soon.
