Love to see the roaring camp, Always amazing to see those classic shays & Heislers working hard up the grades they were designed to climb
Yeah. This railroad doesn’t run them like they’re in retirement. And that’s why I love watching them run.
When I lived in San Jose we used to take our kids every year for a ride at Roaring Camp through the Redwoods, a truly awesome experience! Also rode the standard gauge down to the Santa Cruz boardwalk, another stunning ride!
I hope to film the shay locomotives the next time I visit.
I hope to come back here to see the Heisler one day
Tuolumne is still going strong. Dixiana will go down for maintenance once Sonora is back.
