I found Roaring Camp, by chance, in 1967. I rode behind the number 1 Dixiana Shay. That was the first Shay I had ever seen. In 1975 I rode behind the number 2 Tuolumne Heisler. Another first. I visited the shop and found the Dixiana undergoing some repairs and the number 3 Kahuku 0-4-2T also undergoing repairs. One of the rods had a blacksmith weld. The RC mechanics added a gusset piece with proper welds on the back side of that rod. I’d like to visit the RC& BT again, but I seem to be stuck in the Midwest. Thanks for the video.
I'm surprised she was doing it solo this year. For the past decade or so, she'd been doing it with #40 at the other end. I guess she can handle two cars without needing help?

I have seen this locomotive in operation here at Roaring Camp back on October 29th 2022. A day after my birthday.
The 15" gage Glenwood South Park and Pacific was a few miles from here but sadly is now just memories. Roaring Camp chugs on.
Big Trees no 3 is giving looks so much like the trains on Disney’s Big Thunder Mountain RR. All it needs is “I.M. FEARLESS” written on the side 😂😁
Love seeing the 3 in action!!
Outstanding video
