  • I show you what I spend on a typical day in Portugal, including rent costs, insurance, eating, entertainment, transport, and groceries.
I'm based in the Algarve and this is my personal experience of what it's like and how much it costs to live here. These prices are from February 2024.

Free tip: 9:45 Those bananas don't look like the typical Madeira bananas. The typical "bananas da Madeira" are usually smaller (and tastier)!
    PS: Welcome to Portugal!

I'm so jealous that you pay that much for healthcare. Mine is almost 1K per month here in California!

What I'm paying is apparently super high since I'm paying for global nomad insurance. Local (private) insurance would be less than €40/month - obviously you don't even need insurance since the public healthcare is free... But the main thing to remember is that income levels in CA are some of the highest in the world so you always have to look at the numbers relative-to-income.
      Thanks for watching!

Your dog is adorable. Since owning your Tesla have you had any issues ? I just ordered the M3 LR and I'm just nervous not knowing what to expect. I hope it's reliable 🙏🏻🙏🏻 everyone I ask love their Teslas

Thank you!! And thanks for all the support!
It’s been really good! I’ve only owned my car for about 3 months now, no issues tbh - I do think Tesla has a lot of experience now, so overall reliability should be pretty good. I also haven’t had issues with charging etc. definitely been loving my car. Are there any specific concerns that you’d like me to check for you?

@@europeinatesla thank you for responding. Not sure if you remember I'm a recent Sub. I follow all the Tesla content , I'm a Tesla fan boy don't even own the car yet 😂. I enjoy your content so you will probably notice I enjoy getting involved in the conversations. Not really anything specific. I'm coming from a Toyota Corolla '15 with ZERO issues. It's a Toyota. I'm sure I will love my model 3. I know it is so fun and comfortable to drive. I live in a condo so in a couple of years when they are able to budget they will install chargers. In the meantime I don't have a problem supercharging. There is a new V3 supercharger 4 miles away and in off peak time in the evening it's only 13 cents / kWh. Which is awesome. Sorry for long message I enjoy talking Tesla and getting different perspectives from other Tesla owners.

      @@cellman1829 yes of course I remember :)
okay so compared with a Toyota, it's difficult - Japanese cars are so reliable, I think it will be tough to compare Tesla over long term. However, with that being said - EVs don't have as many mechanical parts that can fail - my past experience with BMW, for example, has mainly been positive - but as the cars got older, typical things start causing problems (transmission, engine etc.) which are not present at all in a Tesla. The main thing that I'm concerned about would be the trim and finish and to see how well the vegan leather seats retain their quality and finish over time (so I guess, the reliability of the actual car driving hasn't really crossed my mind)
Wow that's absolutely crazy cheap! where are you based?

Which private worldwide health insurance do you have by the way? I went with NomadHealth for a year at around 125 USD per month

      Hey! Thank you for watching!
I have Genki World Explorer, however - I've limited to 42 days per 6-months to the US and Canada - if I selected incl. US and Canada, it' would be €126.90
Genki has been really good! I've made a claim for a doctor's consult and they paid out within a week!
