Hello from Oklahoma! Good Video! Thanks for letting me tag along. Looked like a cold camp. People don't realize how handy a couple extra pairs of socks can be. Love that cowboy coffee! Thanks for all You do! Happy New Year! God Bless!
Nice. I remember doing this in my young teens. Just a couple of us would pack up and stay in the woods for shits and giggles. Remember waking up, and the snow would have covered up the land such beauty. We did it just because we could just be a little out of town we would hike there. Man, if you haven't done this, your missing out. This video brought out some old memories. Keep the journey coming. Some have never seen or experienced this life. Waking up was always great, but yes, packing up sucks.
I still have yet to watch a video of yours and not learn something. Your plethora of knowledge always amazes me, and i love that i am not just entertained, but am also learning an extensive amount of things to take with me. Keep it up! And thank you. 🤠💪🙏
That looks so damn relaxing and peaceful. Wish i could do that, got two little babies at home. I'll be doing this once they get older though!! Everything is better when you're out there!!
I love these so much. So relaxing and is a nice escape on rainy days...when your car breaks down...and you live in an isolated road surrounded by highways lol. Keep em coming!
- I really enjoy your videos. You've quickly become one of my favorite. I especially like you because you're on of the few American bush craft folks on youtube. 😂❤
This is the first of your videos I have watched and I found it very informative . You and Wild Beare are now my two FAVOURITE solo campers to watch . I love how you explain everything , from the hot water bottle to warm rocks in your boots . I am 76 and find your love of the outdoors in snowy-windy weather quite informative and fun to watch . Mary of Ontario, Canada 🇨🇦
Man has a lot of wisdom he’s passing off, he reminds me of the countless hours I’d watch Les Stroud’s Survivorman series when I was a kid. So much useful information to learn, I live in a very rural area so I’m hoping to go out here soon and start doing the same thing.
I can't tell you how many times I learned something new on your videos. The knowledge just keeps coming. Keep up the vids and the shorts they are both awesome.
Thank you for putting these videos up. You have inspired me to get back into the woods. There's nothing more cathartic and rejuvenating than being out in the woods. Please take us on more of your adventures, teaching us along the way. Again, thank you...I'm finding myself again, because of these videos; cannot verbalize how much this means. Namaste' brother.
I've have been practicing bush craft .and watching vids for many years. it surprises me that I still learn some well thought out tips that could be life saving for some folks. Great job brother. TY
Like this kind of video. covers a lot of ground and ties it all together in a way thats easy to follow along if you’ve never camped. feel free to link some of the stuff you use (bonus if i can get it in canada!)
Brother im 48 years old and haven't dun something like that in the past 25 years!!! That is heaven to me:) but when u start having babies it's hard to do that kind of stuff!! But it's nice to see ❤keep grinding brother..love your stuff!!
@buzz5969 I'm 76, have arthritis in my hands, have had carpal tunnel surgery in both hands, and just had shoulder surgery for a large tear of my rotator cuff, mostly all according to my Dr's by proving how tuff I was as a kid. I do it the easy way now. I didn't even include my broken back in 1983 or bone-on-bone in both knees.
Nice tidbit about heating up or drying your boots with the heated-up rocks. I remember once on a camping trip in our VW bus my dad heated up rocks to put under our mats to keep us warm.
I truly enjoy your adventures... Almost Everytime I watch ya... I definitely learn something... Found u on TH-cam which ended up being a blessing... Pennsylvania is a sweet place... I grew up morel hunting with Mom and my sisters n brothers in Wisconsin lately experiencing Golden oysters which r a delicious edible mushroom that has replaced the morels bcuz they grow bountifully on dead trees
I wish I could do this. I love going to the reservations and creating fires at home. But I’m just a florist I would probably feel paranoid and vulnerable 😂
Your 1/2 cut and break SEEMS obvious, but it's a great trick for creating smaller pieces when you have no hatchet or twigs for kindling 🎉 keep up the great content!!
Enjoying the channel, it's 2,000 worth of gear and a phony thumbnail or rain or snow that doesn't exist. Just simple outdoor skills put to use. Think the tarp and pad and bag and just a tarp shelter is really hardcore and I love it.
Just found you, what an awesome video. It was really interesting, watching you do the bread on the rock. Realistically not my type of Camping, but I certainly enjoyed watching you very much.
Not sure exactly where you are in the Appalachian’s but we have vacationed many many times in western Virginia especially in the Shenandoah national park with our children. Easy to get to and lots of fun for kids. While not as primitive as your camping style but a good way to begin to enjoy nature’s beauty.
Bro is out in the middle of nowhere builds his own fire from scratch in a snow storm uses a rock as a frying pan, and **still** manages to eat better than i, who is living in a bustling megacity with 4 different super market and 8 different restaurants just 5 minutes walk distance from my house. Unbelievable. Great content.
Hey man, absolutely love your content. One thing I noticed though - this video has ALOT more cuts than the previous ones, and it feels more like it’s in a hurry and slightly more stressful I guesy? What was absolutely top notch about the previous ones was that it was very slow paced, cuts were much more apart. Like, I don’t mind watching one view for long, that’s what I’m here for actually.
You are probably my favorite Bushcraft youtuber - not only you give a lot of explanation and information, your voice is also kind of calming
Completely agree
Glad to hear that!
Yeah this guy and outdoor boys really awsm videos
@@ahmedkhalfan9244 agreed 🤝
Yeah, I really feel like I’m camping with the dad I never had 😂😂
It would be cool if u could upload regular lengthy videos like this, its so soothing to watch this before sleeping
That's the plan, I've been wanting to make more of these style videos now that I have more time
@@WoodsboundOutdoorsYes, please do. You are my best bushcraft TH-camr.
Oh dude! I cant wait!
Love your content. I am 66yo .you never know when you will need this. Excellent! God bless you!
Gourmet cooking on a makeshift stove in the snow! How awesome, your channel always has such great tips and advice, thanks for the content!
Glad to hear 👍

Western Pa woods are a great place to find some solitude and adventure
Amazing experience, I love that, I wish I was there 👌🔥🤘🍻💯
Gotta admit. You are probably one of the best out there. I wish I was with you
This is such beautiful landscape
Nice and simple…..you have a calming voice! Good job👍🇺🇸
You make great videos. I enjoy watching and I learn a little. Regarding the coffee though, Mount Hagen instant is really good instant coffee.
Glad to hear.. and I might have to give that brand a try
It looks freezing, but that tent looks oddly comforting.
My Dude, Ive been watching you for a while... Very educational, very pleasant to watch, Very Good Looking... Love your videos. Thank You...❤❤❤

My best wisdom has always came from hands on, watching vids are nice but you wont know till you get out and do it.✌🏻
Love the longer vids!
Your literally an inspiration man
I appreciate that
More of this. Your tip videos are good, but you gotta show survival camping videos, great evolution. 👍
Praise the Lord - a video without tunless jangling at the beginning! Thank-you!
What the heck is "tunless jangling" 😂🤦🏼
That's cool I know this area close to home
Such a good one 👍
Awesome video
I can't tell you how many times I learned something new on your videos. The knowledge just keeps coming.

Looks cold but awesome! Hope more snow comes very soon
Happy New Year!
Same to you and thank you!
Thank you for sharing another outdoor camping 🏕 adventure. I appreciate the helpful camping 🏕 hints. Stay safe out there. 😊
This is what I call great camping
This has to be the best bushcraft channel on TH-cam

Gosh, I love winter.
good stuff brother!!
Thank you 👍
You offer a fine and thorough summary of plenty of winter camping tips. I wish I were still able to practice them.
Like this kind of video. covers a lot of ground and ties it all together in a way thats easy to follow along if you’ve never camped.

there's something simultaneously calming & hilarious to me with how you speak. "The hot rocks could explode, but eh" 😆it's so casual hahah
I get that a lot 😂
Youre one of my favorite watch...full of info as you move along..kudos and more power
I like your style brother. Your hands full of skill and accurate information are most valuable to those of us who follow, thank you.
I use a Corona saw also but mine is the folding version. Works great and has a built in blade protector.
I just break branches and sticks with hands, feet and torque between trees, dont even carry a saw, less you count the one on my Leatherman, or an ax.
@buzz5969 I'm 76, have arthritis in my hands, have had carpal tunnel surgery in both hands, and just had shoulder surgery for a large tear of my rotator cuff, mostly all according to my Dr's by proving how tuff I was as a kid. Nice!
I grew up down there, brother. Beautiful during the winter. This video really reminded me of home.
Looks like a lot of total enjoyment in the great confines of nature. I've done much camping myself. Excellent
I like your Fred Flintstone frying pan! I don’t know why, but food really does taste so much better when you’re cooking on a fire. Great video!
My god are your videos relaxing. I kindly ask that you keep it up, I'm loving them!
I really like improvised gear! That chainsaw guard is great! And bright red, too!

Absolutely love your content. I found it just a day or two ago and I’m already hooked.
One of the best videos I've seen. Can't wait to see more
Hot chocolate, Soup , and Fresh Bread are hard to beat in that kind of weather. I agree with you on Cowboy Coffee vs Instant. 🔥
Best Bushcraft Content On TH-cam Hands Down!!! 🙌 Keep Up The Good Work Buddy👍 Stay Blessed🙏💙
I love these videos, I feel like I am there with you.
Coffee would have been the very FIRST thing for me to make in the AM, only then I can function to make the rest 😂
Outstanding!! Thank you for sharing!!!!
I love your video's.
I should write down many of this stuff.
Do you have a tip on a good bushcraft book/guide that you can take with?
"Bushcraft" my More Kochanski is one of my favorites. Speir Outdoors also has a good one coming out in a few months
Your 1/2 cut and break SEEMS obvious, but it's a great trick for creating smaller pieces when you have no hatchet or twigs for kindling 🎉 keep up the great content!!
Love your videos my dude you have thought me so much about bushcrafting.
Who saved this video with me
I save almost all of his videos except the snowy ones. (I live in Florida) but I still try and watch them all. Cheers brother 🤙🏻
Love this video. It really showed everything in detail. 👍🏽
I miss camping in West Virginia
Yeah the thing about it is I know exactly where you were camping at I used to live there in that area that is. That is a nice area to go camping
Glad I found your channel. Excellent.
Throw u a shot of cold water in that cowboy coffee. It will sinks all the grounds.
Thanks for all the great videos.
Your my favorite camper! Good video
Dude I could watch these videos forever
Enjoying the channel, it's 2,000 worth of gear and a phony thumbnail or rain or snow that doesn't exist. Just simple outdoor skills put to use. Think the tarp and pad and bag and just a tarp shelter is really hardcore and I love it.
You don’t have to watch it if you don’t like it. No point in being rude
@@Lalalala72626 Really enjoyed the video, perhaps one has the wrong idea?
@@KenTParty my bad I misinterpreted your reply
Love your videos! Thank you!
I admire your bravery, woods terrify me, I would be afraid someone would come out of nowhere and likely kill me
First time watching your video and am highly impressed! Learned a few things too. Keep up the good work!
I like the idea of hot rocks in a sock to help dry out your boots. Were they dry the next morning?
A lot more dry than they were
Love these videos of yours
Just found you, what an awesome video. It was really interesting, watching you do the bread on the rock. Realistically not my type of Camping, but I certainly enjoyed watching you very much.

"memory foam gets stiff during the winter"
You're telling me memory foam gets amnesia?
New follower here and may i say i could listen to you spin a yarn for days on end.
I can't stop watching your content, they are amazing!
I think you could start a fire underwater, lol.
