If you are Native and reading this, please. Never EVER let your culture go, pass it on to your children, to your family. I hope to be 100 years old and still know that someone somewhere out there is drumming and singing like this. I have Kainai blood but no traditions and unfortunately because I have white skin I am judged so I cannot join. And my Irish & Scottish ancestors lost who they were, I no longer have the roots they did because somewhere along the line they let it go, they gave in to the modern world and lost it forever. Please, keep the heart going...
My Irish and Scottish heritage is lost as well. My Irish Clan's Fort they had is only 2 feet long, 3 feet tall now. That's the only part left of my clans fort left now. Im from the Fleming. I'm sad I never learned the traditions of my Irish and Scottish ancestors. At least I have learned my other side's traditions, as I am also Native. I do not know what tribe, but I was once told I could be Lakota.
Nick Bloom great advice...good homegrown traditions is the key to restoring dignity, integrity and self respect ✊ and not this crazy world of consumerism.

Apparently my father was really into going to powwows but I never got to really meet him. Went to a powwow in Listuguj when I was little with my uncle and his kids, couldnt even tell you who he was. My uncle was pretty sad because he was so happy to have kids of his own. Tell your father you love him and thank him for being with you.
I just want to wish our Native brothers and sisters of: the First Nation, of New Zealand, of Hawaii, of Alaska, of the Great Plains nothing but prosperity, strength and LOVE!!! We need to pass our culture/teachings on to our children and tell them to be proud because our ancestors still run through our blood! Ahéhee' for those that already do💕

Southern Ute here from Ignacio, Colorado USA, listening in July 2024! Greetings to all my NDN brothers and sisters, and the other non-Indian nations too!
My people are all lost as well. My ancient family from the English islands and my present day family such as they have been...greed and jealousy have driven them all their separate ways and I've been lost and wandering many years. I was completely blessed when I met the man who's now my husband! An incredible Hopi man found me amid the rubble of the remains of my world and lifted me up, showed me that all is never lost and brought me to the place that's always been the home of my heart. His parents call me daughter and his siblings call me sister. They never once looked at me as other than their own. I am thankful every day for all these blessings! It took many many years for them to arrive but it was more than worth the wait!
I'am a german Jewish and i love and respect the native culture. I love this Song so mutch, the drums are so strong and powerful and the amazing voice are so incredible. Thanks for sharing, with love from germany ♥️🇩🇪🙏👍
I am half Cuban and half Native American. I never grew up around my native culture and only grew up with my Cuban culture. At the moment I am practicing to be a fancy shawl dancer and passing it down to family and friends. In the future I will pass it down to my children. Much love from Apsaalooké 🧡🪶
Hearing them live is a life changing experience! The reverberations of these 200 250lbs men and the deep drum hits you in the gut. The hair in the back of your neck dances with the beat. Seeing and hearing war cry got to me. Old warrior myself i cant hold back my emotions.
This is It. A blessing to my heart and soul from this totally proud Chippewa Cree Shoshone-Paiute tribal daughter, sister, auntie and now Grandmother. I think only special men can shed real heartfelt tears and they aren't ashamed in doing so. It's OK and healthy to release those tears, it's cleansing us too! Keep singing all drum warriors and honorable sisters, we love your sound!

octavia kelsie I am Descended from five tribes. My parents were not married when I was born, which at the time was a shame in the families. I was put up for adoption, but I’m albino, and no one wanted a Rez kid who was albino, which has all sorts of health implications. My grandparents took me and two cousins in permanently. Later my mother married and demanded me back. She let me do the leadership training, because she thought I would fail. She was wrong. The elder held my head and said “bred, born, raised, trained, educated, consecrated, graduated, a leader of tomorrow.” But then she cut me off from all tribal connections because I succeeded in a program she failed. I found my way “home” in my 40s. Watch this one, too-th-cam.com/video/_0jq7jIa34Y/w-d-xo.html. SUPAMAN is my favorite. I pray for my friends and my enemies, because he acknowledges their humanity. Northern Cree Singers... One of the BEST EVER. I believe I heard Northern Cree Singers at a First Nations at the U.W. Spring Pow-Wow. I also heard Wayne Silas Jr, along with The Whitefish Juniors. Still remember them both very well.
My Spanish wife, married me in 2021. She left with my heart and pride. I’m still a warrior but she was my Indian girl. Showed her my culture. Brought her to my Rez. Gave her out everything. My heart is with a Spaniard.

As a indigenous person who has family who has survived residential schools. I maybe light skinned but i stand strong with my indigenous brothers and sisters. I was luckey enough to grow with my culture that my mom had passed down to me, even used to dance fancy shawl and i used to be a hoop dancer. I always try to learn about where my ancestors came from (sorry if that was long)

Our Amazing Brothers and Sisters from the North Have a Strong Circle. Strong words with Amazing Visual Are Very Strong and Very Good Medicine..Thank You...Hoka Hey And Many Blessings
I once had a vision of the Hopi Blue Star prophecy. Me and my family were driving, probably going some store. It was at night. Suddenly as we were driving, a blue star raced across the sky. The sky light up in sunset like colors. We stopped the car. We ran out of the car, and stared at the star. We were in much fear. The star raced faster and faster, and hit the earth suddenly. The ground shook greatly, the sky was brighter than ever, but out of the mist this man in blue war paint all over his body raced toward us. He had dark blue stripes too, he had a blue apron, blue moccasins, white fur fluff around his ankles, and also bells too. It was like he was dressed in powwow regalia but had no roach, feathers, bustle, or anything else. Just apron, fur fluff, bells, and. moccasins. He ran toward us and gave out his hand and we all took his hand. The dream ended there. Strange thing is he wasn't like a normal human design, but the design as a Hopi would draw characters. He was like a Hopi designed- like man. He had black lines as eyes and a black line as a mouth.
Love from Mexico 🇲🇽 ❤ I may not know from which tribe I am since everyone in Mexico mixed together, making the modern “Mexican” but I still want to find and study indigenous cultures . Much love ❤and stay strong

I'm white and I love native people. nishnawbi aski northérn Ontario are very inspirational. I've always been welcomed into celebrations. I love learning about the traditions
this song had me fired up while i was doing my daily workout......it brought back a lot of memories in my life.......wish i was living in the country again......i also wish i had been born long before the white-eyes had came.....
The first time I saw this movie was in middle school. Im a white mountain Apache, and I was taking the class to learn my language and more about my culture, but my teacher brought out her old school tv and put the video in. I was always excited when she put this on, I love this movie, she had a lot of other old movies on video. Like that movie that’s called “The chiefs” it’s a really good basketball documentary/story.... and I hope those students after me get to watch this as well, I’m a junior in high school now, however it always makes me feel better when I think about when I was still in middle school.😌😁
I have been unable to even think other music for weeks. I can't get this song out of my soul and I wouldn't want to anyway! This calls to me like nothing else ever has...
Skin color don’t make you indigenous. And anyone that says different is missing the the true spirit of native culture. We are all brothers and sisters to the creator.
The drums are like a repetitive thunder that serves the spirit of man delivering us from harm and trauma shedding the pain away from the I and I and the all and all. The singing moves the spirit to the higher realms , these turquoise throated men sing for all occasions in life in a round symboling the nature, Of the great earth cyclical movement and power of the round must not ever be forgotten, thank you great Spirit . Remove the disgrace from our spirit. Allow us to move back in into our power where we never chase women 😂😂😂 I will hunt ,I will build, I will teach and in I will always hold you in my round hearth .my prayers for all of humanity is to be greatful and smart. We must steer clear of evil and keep in stride with the elders in these ever evolving times. Agh, she's driving me crazy.

Northern Cree Singers... One of the BEST EVER. I believe I heard Northern Cree Singers at a First Nations at the U.W. Spring Pow-Wow. I also heard Wayne Silas Jr, along with The Whitefish Juniors. Still remember them both very well.
If this music doesn't make you feel something, you might be dead. Goosebumps. head to toe.

Fell in love with this song, listening to KUYI radio, but it’s even bigger, with the rad video. Like a mini movie! Welcome back to being able to tell a story, instead of just throwing some bling or T&A onto the screen.
Always be proud.
I was recently in Drumheller institution and one of the drummers there busted this song out during a drum practice and it’s been on my mind ever since
I’d love for this to be added to Spotify so I can add it to my Pow Wow playlist. It’s always been a favorite of mine.

I grew up listening to this song, my grandma would always put it on, this is my favourite video to watch, and my song to listen to
I once had a vision of the Hopi Blue Star prophecy.
Yenawa ❤

Amen! I am native and I don't look it
Only if your first nation if your white your not our brother
My grandmother preached this
@alexa mckenzie well you would be wrong in that racist assumption. I’m half Shawnee
@alexa mckenzie who cause I sure ain't the fuck white
Every time my husband hearts this he makes us round dance in the living room
Just had a Red Fox show up in my yard ,looking at my house...I think he loves it too!!!
