He wears that watch on a daily basis for 8-10 hours.He removes watch at around 9 to10 pm when he goes to sleep.Watch stops working at around 4 am to 5 am daily. I want to know what the energy reserve of this watch is? My father has earlier used a seiko 5 and watch used to work fine for the next approx 42 hours without any movement. The Energy reserve of HMT stellar automatic watch is not mentioned on the website. Please respond to me.

I love these watches but from what I remember, HMT Watches did not have an in-house movement. They used the Japanese Citizen movement. Iconic watch nonetheless.
They are not selling outside India for some unknown reasons. Even for Indians here, getting a mechanical HMT watch is now quite a challenge. They are selling few pieces at a time and are getting sold out in few min.
There's no info on the exact details of the manufacturing process involved here. Is one to assume that they're doing it all from their Bangalore factory?
Got my first hmt stellar after your video. Great value for money but I must say quality could be better. Poor lume application on my watch's second arm, black lacquer missing in one of the dial markers and cheap packaging. These guys should hire some young blood or sell the brand to someone who can do a better job. Btw the watch sales are about 4 crores per year and not really that much compared to rest of HMT business.
They are not Watchmakers anymore. They don't make their own movements anymore, just assemble them. The current movements are standard imported ones. I wish they release their older designs.
I may be hated to say this, but hmt had ample opportunity to become another Seiko or Orient, but it couldn't. An automatic Seiko or Orient watch would cost around the same price as hmt Stellar if the taxes were same but hmt could not use the huge tax advantage it had. All things equal, including tax, anyone would blindly choose a Seiko 5 or an Orient Tristar over hmt.
This is a beautiful watch, however for 9000 rs. It seems a bit overpriced for the movement and finish.you can get a Seiko 5 for that amount. They also increased the prices of pilot, Janata, Kohinoor and other watch too much. The change in quality might be due to still using the old machines they have.
You're correct. Don't buy an HMT if you just want to buy a watch. There are many other options in market at this price. But ofcourse none of them are HMTs.
@@worldofwatches7074 don't get me wrong, I absolutely love hmt watches. I myself have 2 pilots and 3 Janata, 1 Kohinoor, which I was able to buy from their website and I'm still looking for more. But this one is not for me, the case is too big at 45mm for me, 36, 38-42 mm looks good for my wrist.
No worries. Likes and dislikes are subjective to person. I would recommend you ADSL 04 if you want a smaller Automatic. 37.8 mm and one for the most elegant auto from HMT. comes in blue black and white dial options 👍 All the best 😀

HMT website is very reliable. If you want a classic piece then get a pilot. Stellar is a new release automatic.
