  • After so many weeks smashing out RoV servicing & fabrication jobs totalling over 650 individual components it's now time to get back on the tools & bring this Classic CB750 project to a conclusion.
In this video we cover the replacement of the carb intake rubbers, a critical repair needed before the carb balancing can be completed (next video!)...
    Enjoy

This was such a helpful video - I’m rebuilding a CB750F1 and based on this video I bought the oem air box rubbers rather than pattern and I knew how to install them oriented correctly- saved me a lot of hassle both in the short and long term. Thank you Andy

@AndyMechanic could you possibly tell me where you found the seal that was sandwiched in between the three of the air box. I had to rip mine apart to clean it out. Thank you in advance.

Hmmm....try David Silver spares in the UK, they gave a web site too. Other than that you could try eBay in the US & find a new old stock part?
      Good Luck.

Hey Andy, I think those Vessel JIS screwdrivers also function as an impact scewdriver too.

Great work as always Andy. Astonishing how the rubber deteriorates and perishes over the years. I hope Alan is able to enjoy the bike. Not too far away with my own project too. Philip McDaid

Cheers Phil, I had a massive push on this project over the past week. It's nothing like the same full rebuild as your Superdream, you are doing an awesome job for sure - your attention to detail is certainly inspiring. Keep up the great work my friend. Cheers for now. Andy

I hadn't thought of using a sealant on my airbox rubbers like that. If you have to take them out in 10 years, how hard would it be with the dried silicone?

It wont be too bad, l think UV light will have some shrinking and hardening effect depending on the chemical ingredients and hence cost of the product
