First time watching, I enjoyed your video and I respect that you didn’t like the recipe. I’ve subscribed, looking forward to more of your video’s thank you!
It’s so hard to follow these old recipes that we love. Cake mixes used to be 22oz and now they are 15-18oz. That really messes up the dry to wet ratio and it’s a guessing game which way to adjust the ingredients!
Find a from scratch white or yellow cake recipe and you can then add cocoa,or extracs to it and you can determine the size of the cake by halving it or by doubling 😊❤🎉
Such an intriguing recipe. Sorry it didn’t work out, but I appreciate you trying it, now I won’t would rather stick to the old-fashioned refrigerator rolls. Your technique with the butter is similar to my mom’s lots of butter although wish she never melted hers. I’m gonna try melting the next time I make my mom’s rolls. Her way was like lots of butter never occurred to me to melted. Thank you for the tips. Look forward to more of your posts.
I was watching to make sure I was right. Cake mixes have baking powder and possibly baking soda I thought it would turn out like a biscuit. Thanks for your honesty.
The recipe is not accurate all thank you for being so honest and showing us some of these recipe should not be in cook books if it is not correct 👍🏼 Tfs❤
i wander if they would taste better if u added more cake mix instead of flour the sugar content in what cake mix u used would give it a more biscuit type taste. i may try to make them looks like an easier recipe than old fashioned yeast rolls. thank u for being honest n giving the truth!!!❤❤❤

I'm telling you, you cannot trust the printed measuring amounts now available on those cake mixes or their directions in general. These companies have probably been bought and sold so many times!......😢. I was cooking w/my granddaughter makin' a box cake awhile back, and the batter (by measurements on box) wz all watery. Of course I added more flour. But I'm just saying, using a 1987 recipe by today's standards 'n general just know (the weights are not to scale)-- so you're best to rely on your intuition, always! I always say, your 'right' recipes index will all come flooding back, once your rolls coming out right!😮😂

@ Everyday Living with Simply Mercy B. Can this work with yellow cake mix? Thank you
Why didn't you use all the cake mix rather than just 11/4 cups of it?
When I made yeast rolls at school in the cafeteria. I always use the paddle, never the hook. It worked better for me.
It absolutely does.
Should you have used bread flour instead of cake flour?
