  • A look back at our surf journey. We started in 2020 as something to try during the pandemic. It quickly became a hobby and we started documenting to track our surf progress. With our local break being 2 hours away, our progress was slow but steady. We had the opportunity to surf many locations and even share the stoke with friends. We are excited with our progress and look forward to more surf adventures.

Awesome progression! Thanks for the inspiring and fun content. I’ve been going to the Tamarindo area a lot chasing waves on my bodyboard. What a beautiful and amazing place. You guys are living life right and it’s wonderful you can share it

Such a fantastic video you guys! The level of progression for you both has been great! it must be fun to look back through your older footage and remember what it felt like when you were just starting out. You both look like seasoned pro's now!

Thanks Trevor! Yeah sometimes when I kick myself for not being at the level I wish I was, I look at footage to remind myself how far I’ve come. It’s been a fun journey! - Mel

You e definitely have progressed. I’ve been surfing for 16 years and still practice Dry land pop ups so if aren’t doing that already definitely start doing them 🤙

Thanks! Yes I do them a couple times a week, but probably should be doing them every day 😅 - Mel

Where do you surf in Oregon? I recently moved to Lincoln City, and I'm looking for beginner spots!

Hey there! Otter rock is a good bigger spot, maybe 30 minutes from Lincoln city. Pura Vida surf shop is right at the entrance of the break and you can rent from them. We have some older videos of Otter Rock if you want to check those out.

Otherwise we usually surf the north coast at short sands or Indian beach. Those are further from you though, about 2 hours from Lincoln city.

Thank you! Yes I picked up surf skating about 6 months ago and it has helped a lot. Wish I had started that sooner haha. - Mel
