Would love a pattern with narrower sleeves and a stand up collar. I think the narrow sleeve to fold back for a cuff(if wanted) would allow the full coat to feel more comfortable. 🇨🇦
Yes! I use quilt as you go (QAYG) to finish all seams! I have a video detailing my QAYG method. And then the final seam / edge is just finished as a binding on a quilt would be.

Great idea! The pattern is very easy to manipulate. The sleeve update would be an easy update. The collar might take a little more work.
