      Clothes with holes were never stylish to me. Trendy yes. I think you should create their own sense of style and not get caught up on trends. Classics are timeless. Buy good classic once. This comes from a 73 yr old lady who has seen sooo much stuff over the years and I’ll stick to classics. I have more time behind me than in front of me so I’ll use my money on other stuff.

    I sold shoes for a dozen years at a high end shoe store and saw the effects of the pointed toes, worn over a period of time BUNIONS when the big toe is shoved over to centre. This eventually will cause problems walking, and even balance problems because the big toe helps balance the body. Also HAMMER TOE as all those toes are squished together and if the second toe is the longest and the shoe is too short, you are going to get a hammer toe. So ladies, dare to be 'out of style' and wear a natural shaped toe. You wouldn't force your boobs in to square bra cups if cubes became fashionable....so why do this to your feet?

    • @youareworthalot1228
      @youareworthalot1228 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +72

      Pointed shoes are so ugly and hurt your feet bad for your feet. Children and adults should have barefoot shoe or the toe box. Pointed shows are bad. They are hideous. I’m sorry and please forgive me if my comment offends anyone. Kids feet if they are still growing then they need the wide toe box not squished toes.

    • @vh7709
      @vh7709 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +24

      I love the look of pointed toe. Most are elongated enough that it does not cause much displacement of my big toe…I wear them to work then when I get home I do my feet exercises and stretches and walk around in bare feet (or equivalent) rest of night. … this has worked for me, if you love pointed toe shoes and still “insist” on wearing like myself.

    • @l.5832
      @l.5832 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +42

      @@vh7709 Most women I sold shoes to were extremely vain about the size of their feet. An elongated toe makes the foot appear even longer. So most women will wear a shoe too small, causing both bunions and hammer toe, particularly with pointed toes.

    • @vh7709
      @vh7709 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +19

      @@l.5832 I see… that is unfortunate, but I have average size foot for a woman so I wouldn’t be able to relate. When they get older they will likely have issues then which is unfortunate. The first thing the podiatrist will tell them is to stop wearing the pointed shoes.

    Hell No to the Pointed Toe! I have a wide foot. I’m 73 years young and always found that style show comes and goes. The point of the shoe will curl up and a crease develops across the shoe where your toes end.

      I love them. Elongates my 66 year young semi dumpy legs with skirts and pants. I have 3 pairs of pointed toe loafers that I have worn year after year.

    We used to wear that color combo back in the early 60’s. A lot of navy/powder blue and Hunter green/light sage, etc. We thought we were really stylin’ 😉

      Some of these trends seems to be going in and out of style really fast these days. I have a leopard print top that doesn’t seem more than 5 years old that I haven’t worn in a while. I’m glad I never got rid of it. I may be pulling it out again soon. 😊
