It even made some of the stuff that wasn't scary before, like the “Measuring… Measuring…” super scary. For some reason, the piano that plays when BODY TEST pops up spooked me slightly. So did the “Replace batteries” from the board.
If I was a kid and saw this pop up, I would never touch my Wii console again. Edit: almost a year later and I’m still getting notifications from this comment 😂 thanks yall

This accurately depicts overexerting yourself while having an anxiety disorder. Like, when I get lightheaded from overexertion, I know logically that it’s just my body telling me that I need to lie down, drink water, and eat something salty, yet it feels like I’m going to collapse on the floor and die.
@@morbidsearch True, but that doesn't happen in the gameplay here. If I had to guess, this kind of error message would pop up after the player has been exercising for an extended period of time (my best guess? at least 2 hours hours before this warning pops up).
For some reason the icon of the trainer dizzy hanging against a wall is creepy by itself. But the second one is beyond scary, it has that shading of red with the black warning with the ⚠️ icon.
What makes this one so terrifying is that you can't read the red text against the black background very quickly, so you have to stare at the screen longer because you might instinctively read the white part first and have to go back. That extra time spent reading makes you feel more prone to a jumpscare and much more aware of the quiet around you. Extra scary if you're in a dark room playing by yourself.
I thought this was just gonna be the first warning and was actually real but then I questioned it when I noticed VHS copy effects were on it and then the black and red gave it all away
I always got a weird uncanny feeling playing the game. It was definitely fun but there was something kinda….off about it. Not like in a scary way but playing it did give me this weird feeling from the music and graphic style. Everything felt too sterile. Not to mention lotus focus always triggered my fight or flight sensations

Another suggestion similar to this is a screen on Tetris 64 (scrapped English build) which used a similar heart sensor, and could attempt to send an emergency message if a modem or broadband adapter is inserted, sending you to a later build of the N64 scrapped BIOS (Mario Beta Archive) with more simple apps, to do heart checks and/or call emergency services if possible.

I saw the thumb but I was already watching another video, and was thinking about making a funny comment like "yea like I'm gonna play Wii Fit for 6 hours straight" . And then I looked at the comments. I ACTUALLY THOUGHT THIS WAS REAL. I WOULD HAVE BELIEVED IT IF IT WASN'T FOR THE COMMENTS.
I would believe this if not for the vhs filter because it feels like part of the game and not some crazy forced horror thing. It works with the context of the situation much like the SpongeBob outro. On a Saturday afternoon where the room is well lit and your parents are in the other room, it might make you think “that’s weird” but it’s not creepy. However if it was late on a school night and the only light was from a lamp in the corner and the glow of the TV screen, your mind would be thinking more cautiously. If it pops up it’s not inherently scary and is the same message as before, but the suddenness of it and the lack of music make it feel eerie like someone is watching. Like someone is saying “you’re up awfully late, you should go to bed. Who knows what might happen if you stay up…” I think it might come from the fear of the darkness in the rest of the house. When the one lit room doesn’t seem so safe anymore, where are you gonna go to get away? That’s why these are scary, not the over the top “the cops are after you now” anti-piracy messages.
Those who want to make fanmade screens like this need to learn from this video. It's scary because it's ominous, fits the game and it looks like it's not trying to be deliberately scary. What's with so many of these fanmade screens (for example Anti piracy screen) containing imagery that can only be found in a creepy pasta?

It's scary because it's ominous, fits the game and it looks like it's not trying to be deliberately scary. What's with so many of these fanmade screens (for example Anti piracy screen) containing imagery that can only be found in a creepy pasta?
