Wow, great job. I'm consistently amazed how well you can nail SY's sound with just a single acoustic guitar. This was the first SY song I remember really catching my attention and I've never been able to play it half this well
Wow, just stumbled on your covers and it's crazy how every one brings me right back to 16/17 years old. Your interpretations of them are fantastic - I couldn't imagine a single guitar sounding better. I know you posted these some time ago but man, thanks for sharing your gift.
theslaytron - thanks a lot. Just trying my best to it sound exactly as I’ve always heard the songs of SY. Even though it needs rough combinations og Thurston and Lee’s riffs into one big mess :) But thanks a lot - appreciated!
Amazing! You add a surplus to the perfect! A really new horizont ... I relived the SY adventure with the wings of your worn-out guitar again. Thanks for the journey!
Thanks man! Appreciated! :) This one blew my head straight off back in the days when I listened to the "Blow Job" record on the stereo and it still does. Those demos are still so fired up on love and projectiles I simply almost can't stand it. Raw and melodic, telling stories, using shortcuts and derailed deroutes. Still a top-3 album to this day. Thanks!
@Hibernationmusic - Thanks a lot my friend. Warm words. Appreciated. I guess I really feel like I need to involve every string because the way I do my interpretations is to make every note sound like it has a place in the bigger picture, if you know what I mean? Also because I'm not 100% sure that what I'm doing, my way of tabbing these covers is accurate seen with SY-eyes. But it doesn't matter in the end. It's not an instruction video though. Tuning is: EGDGED Thanks again!
Thank you sir, appreciate the words! I think that you really can sense and hear the structure of the song in a different way doing this on acoustic. There's another dimension in the atmosphere that comes through on acoustic. Maybe you sense it too? Thanks!
@BlueOrbeeGames - thanks a lot my friend - much appreciated. It is indeed a song that needs to be uneasy behind all of that wall of sounds. I did a quite recently newer version with three guitars. That one I am very pleased with - I think it did the demo version quite some justice. Or unease.
@SurfinNoodles - Thank you sir. Appreciated. This too was one of the first songs that really caught me. From there on the Goo demos became one of the best SY records I think. I think the part thrash sound from the acoustic along with the tunings makes it sound pretty alright I guess. I find it kind of interesting. You get more familiar with the songstructure without all the noisy parts maybe. But thanks again!
@sockenfrank - do you have Spotify? The demo record I have is called 'Blowjob' but I think there might be one more but I can't remember the name. You can google Sonic Youth Goo demos and see where it takes you - it's radical good stuff :)
nvanliforp I am not a sir, I am a female, but it's ok :D I don't have a picture, and my name surely sounds strange to you, so it's my bad. :) Greetings from Serbia, and keep up the the good work, you are great! :)
@CanadianChronic2121 - Arh, good albums all of them. I can't really place a top 3 cause all got amazing potentiale. Still I find the 80's records most vital. Maybe the three you mention plus Bad Moon Rising and Confusion is Sex. Strong records they are.
Weakest only because of the restrained sound - not because of the really strong songs. Have you heard the demos for Goo? That's the true nerve of the songs in my opinion. I've always felt that Sister is raw and pure with every aspect of the SY universe - just better than anything else. Yours?
I'm sure this one is the one Thurston is using. Not o sure about Lee but I guess you can always look it up. But too me it doesn't really matter how accurate it is - this is just my version of the song and how I remember it and that is what I try to deliver through my hands and head :)

All whirlwind, heat, and flash 🔥
¡You're amazing, Billy Corgan!

It hurt me a couple of times though :)

nvanliforp blowjob was e original title before they called it "goo"

@aconseporlamuerte - Hi, and thanks a lot!
sounds great!
Insanely good!
Love it, good one! What is the tuning of the guitar here? it not standard, is it?
@@ronyanai4627 thanks a lot my friend - much appreciated.
The tuning here would be: E G D G E D from low to high
Muy gracias senor!
I am amazed! Bravo! :)
Thank you very much, sir - appreciated indeed! :)

Haha, I'm so sorry. Hope you accept my apology :)

Thanks Lenny, appreciate that :)

How do U play sound as sonic youth the cover is pretty close as the original version good job keep playing 👍
凄い!素晴らしい!感動!
Thanks a lot my friend :)
Great.
The weakest Album, i don´t agree.
What´s the best in your opionen?
Weakest only because of the restrained sound - not because of the really strong songs. Have you heard the demos for Goo? That's the true nerve of the songs in my opinion.
I've always felt that Sister is raw and pure with every aspect of the SY universe - just better than anything else.
Yours?
nvanliforp How can i get the Demos?
Spotify or a google search on "Sonic Youth goo demos" or "Sonic Youth Blowjob"
the chorus riff gives me goosebumps
You did good man, as my homie Perch (what crew) would say
+chetrok1 Thanks a lot! Appreciated!
+nvanliforp anytime
very good job
Nice job.
Why do you play in the sunlight? Can't see properly your fingers :(
I'm sorry :(
Guess I hadn't planned it well enough.
nvanliforp No problem my friend. Very cool cover indeed :)
Thanks a lot! :)
don't know if it's perfect, but it sound pretty close to me.
W O W 😮
Respect
NICE!
Henrique Lauer - thanks a lot!
What's the tuning?
Paul on Drums - written in the info box :)
@@TheSonicYouthAcousticProject Oh. Sweet, thx
Your tuning is EGDGEA
grandios
very good
Thank you, Sir.
Is Goo the weakest SY to you? Yeah, i think it's my
Wrong tuning I think.

nvanliforp No worries, good rendition anyway. I play it on different tuning.
Shane Mitchell Do tell :) And thank you.
