Hey my friend - thanks a lot! Appreciate the words indeed :) And I'm honetly only glad if you could find this video helpful in any way. Keep up the work! :)
- Haha, yeah absolutely! It would be a blast - man who wouldn't that?? He's coming here to Denmark in august playing songs from his new album so maybe I should talk to him about the future hehe. And I'm only glad you stopped by again to check out some of the covers :)
Thanks a lot buddy! Appreciated indeed! True inspiration for me as well they are. On so many levels. Their music speak to me in so many different ways. I'll keep it up and so do you! :)
@alexcastor - Thanks a lot my friend. Warm words, appreciated! SY on acoustic is really something I dig. You really discover the songs in new ways. Thanks!
Thanks buddy! Really appreciated! Guess I'm just trying to give back some dedication or to solve the SY riddle - I don't know. But I do know that the SY catalogue is opening up on me in a new way - so much more hidden beauty to find behind the noisy surface - not that I don't like that, I love it - but I guess I'm trying to get down to the very core of a song and combine the best of Thurston and Lee. I'll keep it up!
Three years ago I lived in New York for a period doing art. And so I made this "thing" to make noisy soundperformance - called it "The Reverend of Really Religious Matter" - you can see it on my homepage along with more of my art and projects. I got lots of recordings with instruments like that going frenzy :) I'll upload it all in time but you are welcome to see my "20 Kitchen Scenes Performance".
No, currently no band but I have lots of weird original stuff. Mostly I do instrumental noise performances on homebuild instruments but maybe in time I'll start up a band again. And thanks again! :)
@davidcruz43 - Fantastic! That makes me very glad. If my videos in any way can inspire then I'm more than satisfied. And thanks a lot! Appreciated. Let me know if you need any tips.
Shit, you're right. Dammit! Guess I got too carried away. But maybe it's only a positive thing and I have been thinking about the singing actually - maybe it's not a bad idea. But then I have to do them all over again but this time with singing. Oh well :)
I'd gladly do it but the truth is that I haven't found any that were useful in my opinion. So I sat down and did a lot of video-nerding. Watching Thurston's part at the most and just listen my way through it. I had the tuning (G A B D E G) so from there is was just listen and try until I was satisfied enough with the result. When I have the rigth amount of time then I'll write down the tabs on how I've played it. Can't really tell when that's gonna be though :/
Hi man! Just now I have realised that you have lots of videos playing Sonic Youth, not only Karen Revisited! As Sonic Youth ended because of Thurston and Kim's divorce, you should join the band in Thurston's place. Maybe you could even console Kim! Not bad, uh?
Wow, who the hell sits and plays SY's whole friggin' songbook on acoustic? Insane!! I love it. Keep it up!! You've really got an ear for them.

Thanks a lot hutty88 - learn it, it's a very cool song to play :) And it's not even hard to learn.
Great cover, man. I'm trying to learn this song myself at the moment, pain in the ass but I know I'll get it eventually :)
Really cool!!
Thanks a lot!
This is good man!!!!!
Thank you again my friend - just trying my best! :)

Hey, i got a few questions: Are you in a band? Do you have original songs? Otherwise, great sounding cover, as usual ;)
Homebuild instruments? Well that's interesting, what kind of intruments?

You betrayed your code and started singing at the start! I think you should sing
