There was a story of frogs competing to climb to a very high tower while everyone shouting `you cant do it`, `nobody did it` etc, in the end frog climbs to top and greets everyone and turns out that frog was deaf.
"Crab Mentality" has ruined lots of innovative individuals... Crabs in a bucket will continually draw back their fellow crabs struggling to climb out ...
This has helped me consider my own rebranding. Im currently a year into my MBA and recently Ive started to realise that this alone wont take me to the next level at work, but rebranding in parallel is something to think about.
Hi Nischa. I have been following your channel for a while and I just wanted to say that your ability to synthesise complex ideas in a way digestible for most people is unparalleled. You are doing a great job!
Hi Nischa, I came across your channel today and binge watched a ton of videos. Loved this video in particular. Knowing and articulating your personal brand and just going for opportunities is so true! Thank you for explaining important life skills in such an approachable way!
i love how helpful and direct you are. I don’t even comment on youtube usually but I genuinely feel a little more centered after watching two videos and motivated to improve in practical ways. Like today. Blessings!
As someone who has worked in management roles, I can affirm your #3 point especially of being able to make order from chaos. It's a skill that takes works, and patience, but it pays off.
My goodness Nischa, I have to say that I do feel personally cheerled on by you. I started my TH-cam channel because of your straightforward advice and transparency. I was just sitting on my skills, knowledge and education and although I had a business, I wanted to reach the masses and your advice gave me the final push. Thank you!
Building a personal brand is one of the most difficult things to do today especially with social media and all the distractions we get. There's something new and shiny everyday.
You made me think of the sales training example of selling a pen to someone. You're not selling a pen, you're engaging the buyer with what they can achieve using the pen. Brilliant. Thanks
Girl! Love your channel! Thank you for all the enormously valuable videos you freely share here! I just found your channel again by accident. I remembered seeing you in some video a while back but forgot the name, and now just realized that here you were, the one I had been wanting to hear more from ever since. Now firmly subscribed, as not to miss out on anything in the future :) Thanks Nischa
I am trying to rebrand myself. Currently, I believe individuals see me as quiet, dry humor, and relaxed. While some may argue that those are good traits to have, I would like to focus on being more passionate, persistent, and performance-driven. I am not sure how long it will take to shift one's idea about me, but I am willing to do whatever is necessary to win.
Hi Nischa, I just came across your channel (I subscribed right away!), and I'm so glad I did! I just started my own agency and I couldn't agree more with the 4 important skills, because I was challenged by those as I build. Especially organization and marketing, lol! Thank you for creating an amazing content! Can't wait to watch your other videos. Your new fan from 🇵🇭
The marketing and sales point really resonated with me, i'm confident with the ideas that I come up with and they are usually received well, but the delivery and initial pitch can often be very hit and miss, definitely one to work on.
#1 is the real reason I got a retention offer when I was last looking around for jobs. Management sees me as hard working, curious, insightful, and a peacemaker. They bent over backwards to keep me at the company.
Nishca, thanks for another great advice! One question on the marketing & sales part. Do you recommend anything for improving communications? There are so many options today with speech coaches, apps etc. What has worked for you?
Wonderful, thank you, Nischa. You inspired me to start my YT channel. It's taking time but I'm looking forward to seeing what will happen. Really enjoy your videos.
Nice video I'd add one more to this list, being able to capture and interpret data. Data skills like SQL and Excel can take any professional role to the next level.
Hey Nischa. I just found your videos today. I am an undergraduate, got laid off 3 times, and at a verge of financial stress. Looking forward to learn from your channel
I would add a networking to this list. Once you have a personal brand you want to make sure to spread the word about what you or your business has to offer. It can create so many opportunities and be a marketing chanel in itself
Really agree on the sales. Currently in a role where I get to learn a lot and fully taking advantage of it. Watched your channel on and off for years and last few weeks I was watching you a lot and really like your perspective on developing skills instead of just advertising the stock market. Made me think about what skills I need to work on to get the best chance of a higher income career.
Hi, as someone who has been mentored and has been a mentor, my advice is this: Be Very Mentorable, you will attract mentors this way. Good luck on your journey.
@@eveb7190 That's a good question. It means someone who is willing and able to take advice from a someone who coaches them, takes time to listen and try to deeply understand without getting defensive. I hope this helps you.
there ia a sense of the cheerleader aspect quite a bit - an enthusiasm to push others to success with no pretense of personal gain...quite refreshing nischa
Hi Nischa. Love your videos. Would like to ask which index funds and ETFs you invest in, how invested (ISAs, SIPPs etc), and how much invested. A video on this would be great, thanks 👍
Pure gold. I am slowly learning all these steps, but like you say, it takes time. I use Jira for project management, it has a free tier which still allows me to do everything I need.
I signed up for a 90 day digital marketing course a month ago and am learning so much. I am realising how integral it is to learn these skills especially with the ascension of online personal brands. Very grateful to have made this decision as I know I will never be out of work.
Leaning into a personal brand is something I've heard before, but I liked your adding to that encapsulating it into a couple sentences or key bullets. Excellent! Did you have any resources you liked for improving your Sales & Marketing knowledge? (Books, courses, etc.) Or was it mostly from mentoring?

Is there anything available closer to the last 2 weeks of Christmas ?

100% agree
I'm an engineering professor in the US, but I still show your videos in my classes. You're an inspiration, Nischa!

Start then learn. Don’t learn then start. 💯
Learn the basic things. Then start. Then wrong. Then fix. Then keep learning. And go on...
Absolutely agree with the importance of 'just going for it.' So many ideas go to waste due to inaction.
Building a personal brand is one of the most difficult things to do today especially with social media and all the distractions we get. There's something new and shiny everyday.

I really love how this video is about how to achieve high income skills, rather than number of skills themselves. Great one!
