Cooked in the ninja15in1
Don't like kidneys , swap for mushrooms
Adding the leeks to the pastry lightens the suet somewhat .
Noose steaming on the hob for hours
Thank you, that looks lovely. I will definitely try this with your timings x

Can't beat homemade pudding xxx
So true Lou 👍
Hi, How much water do you put into the Ninja to cook the pudding?
Around 500ml
@@inthekitchenwithpenn1 Thank you!
What a great recipe, I’m so glad you precooked the beef, I followed a recipe years ago that said to put floured meat raw and onion into the pudding. 🤬it was awful the meat was so tough even after steaming for 3 or 4 hours.
I have also found on TH-cam a recipe from cats cradle for the fluffiest dumplings I’ve ever tasted using chicken fat instead of suet. Thanks for giving your time to enable us to cook nice food 🙂
Edited to say I’ve just looked through your playlist some wonderful recipes new subscriber here 😊
@cgat1955 thank you for watching and subscribing
OMG,I don't cook or eat anymore Penn,i just watch you,and inhale,..sorted👍👍💜
@bridgetsalter265 hope you enjoy every mouthful lol
Looks lovely. I would swap the kidney with mushrooms as not a fan, but looks delicious 😋
If you do swap for mushroom do the same as for kidney put in after beef is cooked
I was interested in doing a fruit suet pudding like my nan used to do for us many years ago! I have some fresh rhubarb and apples. I assume the recipe can be adapted, but I am not sure whether to cook the fruit first or just bung it all in and cook for longer in the pressure cooker. Any help greatly appreciated!!
Cook the fruit first. Then PC 25 minutes
@@inthekitchenwithpenn1 Thank you for the prompt reply! I can't wait to relive my childhood.
How di you get on ? I've got fruit on the hob now and this is what I was looking for. sweet suet puddings in the instant pot could be an amazing thing!!

@@louiseideastore1721 It turned out way better than I thought it would. I pressure cooked for 25 minutes with a couple of inches of water. Make sure bowl is well greased and don't pack too much fruit in. Oh and I forgot to add sugar to the pastry first time round and it made the pastry a bit bland! But 2nd one was lovely.
That looks absolutely lush 👍😋
@paulinemuffett4940 thank you so much , it was delicious
How long was the delayed release on for?
Thank you
Around 10 minutes
@@inthekitchenwithpenn1 thank you
Seasoned flour what do u put in to make it Seasoned?
Generally just salt and pepper but you can also ass garlic powder, onion powder or dried herbs
How big is your tin, please? This looks delicious!
Hi Elizabeth , I've just been and measured and it's a 2.5pint basin
@@inthekitchenwithpenn1 Thank you, that's useful to know. Going to be trying this. x
Hi Penny, I don't know about kidney pudding but I'll have a steak 😋
@Rick I guess it's not common over there ?
An American friend said "He doesnt eat organs" I dont like kidney but it flavours the gravy so we stack steak, kidney, onions when cooked we scoop the onions & kidney off the top.
@jevward5428 good idea ,all the flavour none of the texture
I add mushrooms to the filling, and chives/ spring onions and parsley to the pastry.
Sam, I hate mushrooms with a passion
Hi Penn, if I wanted to cook smaller individual puddings would it be the same timing in the ninja foodi. Love your vids……. Keep em coming!!
I'd leave it the same
