I think the reason this happens is cause it would break even more of the code if they just deleted all the flags and checks regarding all the characters in megaton instead of just making them all dead and non-existing. Thanks for sharing thoug, that is pretty neat as I eat my breakfast.
I think it gives Moira Brown a legitimate path out of Megaton in the case that you're in the middle of the Wasteland Survival Guide when you detonate and she becomes a ghoul.
im 99% sure, this happens only due to how they handle 'interiors' since technically this is a static interior and there was no need to spend time on an interior for it blown up since it wouldn't even exist in the first place
I loved the custom 7.62 Chinese Assualt Rifle you could obtain from the diner after solving the simplistic puzzle. Between that & explosives I cruised the game. My favorite fights were in the Washington Library & backing up the BoS against the super mutants. Didn't know about this as I disarmed the nuke.
@@ChristopherHallett You are so right about starting as you mean to go on. I'm playing New Vegas pretty much using the Alien Blaster with supporting perks. Unlike Fallout 3 ( high luck necessary) the player cannot pick up additional power cells. Thus I employ the ammo glitch. The Alien Blaster is truly awesome & hits criticals 99% of the time. With Better Criticals etc a standard Deathclaw goes in 4 shots ( not sneak critical). All the best
Eh they got game break software now , could pretty much fly around like a Minecraft charceter and idk if they would consider that a mod since it didn't change anything but the fact that u can enter
@the1eliterhoy757 console commands are code within the game left by devs, and you can access them with just a press with the tilde key. (The ` key) No modification is required to use them.
Hmmm I've nuked megaton at least 13 times since fallout 3 came out and not once has it looked like this. I'd assume console commands have something to do with it
.......do you mean the console command you would necessarily need to visit the Megaton interior after destroying Megaton? The one you'd have to use to even have a meaningful point of comparison like the one you describe?
@@Thy_Boss I didn't mean anything by it simply stating that I figured console commands were a factor. never played 3, only NV and 4. with that said, I've never seen the megaton nuke scene till now. its baffling how Bethesda completely ripped the Megaton explosion sequence for the Institute nuke sequence in 4. It's basically the same scene. Yet another instance of Bethesda laziness, I suppose.
Shit, you missed out bro. Fun game, not no New Vegas but worth a playthrough. I also thought they look similar but theres another detonation at the end of the broken steel dlc (fallout 3) that bombs a major faction and has kind of a similar set up to it. Sound familiar? Lol
Just started New Vegas again & loving it. Love the broad machete for geckoes etc. Using a high luck but low charisma build & getting great results. Current character is an angel but the next will be truly despicable. Despite being an angel it didn't stop me murdering that star cap man. Needed his trader outfit.
@DamienSteiner-om4of I don't know how can you guys play as the bad guy! Despite being an RPG, i just can't get into the personality of an evil person, instead, i try to play the archetype of the hero every single playthrough.
He used the console to move himself to one of the houses in megaton, allowing him to enter the map after the main gate was removed from the overworld. It seems all the nuke does gameplay wise is remove the entrance to the map and kill off all named NPC's.

Bepezda time
It is so that Moira Brown can leave Megaton and travel to Underworld
The cow survived 😯
it isnt a cow its a brahmin, their grand-grandfather was a cow
I think the game kills the npcs as a way of making sure all the quests they are needed in will automatical fail

Would have been less difficult to have made a stripped down version post nuke with some sort of....save file.
a save file? what are you even yapping about@@KoolRanqe

Yeah that Chinese Assault Rifle is a preemo gun for the whole game, start to end. I always make sure to get it nice and early in any playthrough.

What do you mean "no mods"? You have to get that bobblehead from Simms' place _before_ blowing up Megaton because the whole town is reduced to rubble.

The point of the video was that megaton is not reduced to rubble…
Selsam Bei ps3 gibt keine Drainage grate to megaton🤨
No mods, you say. I tried to visit Megaton after blowing it up but couldn't get near it due to overwhelming radiation levels.
meybe because you need to use a console commands to enter Megaton after you blowing it up??? also, using a brain dont hurt
