Thank you very much! I actually saved 9 seconds over the old wr with a new strat. As for cliff cripple, it is very inconsistent in general. The best advice I can give is that your timing window for the quick load needs to break the character’s legs without seeing the death animation play
This glitch is known as speedcripple. First you make a quicksave at the top of the hill. Then you fall off, and then in a 6 frame window (before you die) you reload your quicksave. Fallout 3 has a couple different movement states. One is full speed without any crippled legs (which is roughly 100 units of speed) and the other state is a crippled state (which is roughly 60 units of speed). By reloading the quicksave as you break your legs, the game gets confused and adds on your cripple speed to your normal movement speed. I reloaded the save a few times because I did not get the extra speed.
just wanted to let you know there is a glitch i found with melee weapons where if you jump and just before landing block and unblock then jump again and it will shoot you forward a little bit, figured you could use this info for your Big ass walk segment
@@theparasiteking7894 this movement glitch has been known about in the fallout 3 and nv community. Most console runners use this glitch. Unfortunately the extra movement speed cannot be applied to the any% run because it does not add on extra speed to the speedcripple that we already have
10:43 I was wondering what purpose this served, then I realized you just opened the door for Enclave to save them some time. But I had no idea you could open locked doors by dangling an item in front of them. XD
yea it was the biggest discovery in any% since speedcripple was found in 2016. Saves around 10-12 seconds depending on how fast you can set it up. It is annoying to learn, but once you know where to position the vault suit, it becomes pretty easy to pull off.

@@shtembyduelsson the circular motion for movement is known as stop hopping. You hold w, jump and release w, flick your mouse, and then hold w. We still using stop hopping in the beginning of the run before we get speedcripple, but stop hopping does not add any extra speed to speedcripple. The locked door in the geck segment unlocks once you walk into the flashbang trigger. So the setup is to hold the armor against the door, side-step into the trigger, and then open the door and position the armor.

also sub 14 is possible just really difficult. My Sum of best is 13:53 but realistically I could lower it down to 13:50 which gives me barely enough wiggle room to get it.

Idk maybe try doing even the tiniest amount of research into a speedgame before you throw out accusations. You can incredibly easily find explanations for every trick in this run. In particular quicksave/load clipping works in basically every Bethesda game.

As long as a run using exploits is in its own category, yea go for it. For a world record, a "speedrun" using exploits shouldn't qualify as the official fastest. Akin to the real world, like lance Armsstong, being the fastest tour de France winner, is now in a separate category. What Im saying is that in my opinion, an overall speedrun category, yes exploits would count, but in a "Official Speedrun" it would not and should not be considered as the fastest
It's a game glitch - normally when you get crippled in the game it decreases your movement speed then restores it back when you heal, but if you time a quickload just right you can fool the game into "recovering" this extra speed on top of the normal base speed.
No kills? No looting? No lockpicking? No exploring? I am impressed by the time but this is not even really playing the game. It's lost all the meaning. Glitch through a bunch of walls and talk to some people when needed and enter the code and you're done
