Glad you enjoyed the review, Bigbopper. I think they'll be adding to the pool area and room facilities over the coming weeks, but then will the price remain the same? Who knows in Thailand! The breakfast was only a small add on cost, but a good quality buffet would give better choices. Hope they can provide that every day. Thanks again for your comment!
Well it looks as though it’s about 400 feet from the entrance of Le Pub so it could be very handy for one of those nights you just don’t want to go home …. I will ask this question as delicately as possible but that area is renowned as being the main base for our brothers from the subcontinent, Would you know if this hotel is more mixed? Is noise in the corridor’s a factor I should be concerned about? The lack of a safe would be quite a big red flag for me even if I was only using it as a temporary stop over for a night, but I am keen to find a hotel stumbling distance from my favourite hang out in Pattaya. Good job BC, hope you get some traction with subscribers soon.
Hi Ed. Yes, only a couple of minutes from Le Pub. In terms of the other guests, the hotel was not busy the night I stayed, so it was quiet. But realistically, given it's location and price, it's going to attract a similar mix to the other hotels in the area. Think they might be adding safes soon; they are certainly needed. Thanks for supporting the channel!
0:59 Good review very competitive price - lack of a safe would be a worry. Also no shade by the pool an issue for me I would fry. That is changeable I guess. Breakfast looks basic, no bacon or choice of eggs. No gym or fitness room not an issue but I wonder why they don’t have arrangements with local gym so for aprox £5 B200 extra a day you get a work out. 5MB internet okay for email but streaming video or Confernce calling would be troublesome. Rooms look good quality.
Thanks, mate. Think your comments are spot on. I think they are adding to the facilities all the time; this is their pre-opening period. There was a choice of eggs at breakfast, and they had all the stuff to change to a buffet style brekkie at weekends when I'm told they get busier with visitors from Bangkok. To me 1000 baht a night is value for money for what they do have on offer, if that location is what you are looking for. But I know some viewers will point to other hotels that offer more for a similar or cheaper price. UTV!
Hi. Thanks for the question. They assured me there were no extra charges for bringing a guest back to the room. Although I didn't get the chance to test it personally!
Hi Robert. Yes, when I checked in they did tell me they were offering special rates to people who stayed by the week or even the month. Can't remember the exact amounts but it was definitely cheaper then the daily rates. They weren't that busy when I was there so I'd say see if they'll negotiate a special discount for you! Having said that try it for a night or 2 first and see if you like it before committing to a longer period. That's my best advice. Hope it helps!
Thanks Neil. That's the first time I've seen the words reputable and bar owners in the same sentence! It's fun to be a presenter sometimes! But for a collab with Mr Egg we'd need to find a new cameraman! Cheers.
@@neilcox5884 Thanks for the positive feedback, I really appreciate it. I'll certainly put your idea on the list! I'd already pencilled in doing some rental options. Purchase might be interesting, too! Thanks, again
It's a plain Jane motel kinda like the intimate hotel I just stayed at. No safe not good because it looks like a hotel to wear you take freelancers to. And don't worry if you fall off the roof top at least the vultures (bar girls) with take what's left of you.
Thanks, Steve. Think it's main advantages are the location (if it suits) and the newness. Other than that, as you say, it's standard. I'm not that worried about falling. It's being pushed that's the real problem;-)
Good point. Although I'm not sure exactly what they're doing. It might be just painting and decorating. Can only say it was quiet when I was there and they seemed to deliberately put guests on the 6th floor. Thanks for your comment.
Thanks for the comment chandler. I agree. If I was opening a hotel a decent safe would be right up at the top of the list. They need to get them installed asap. Thanks again.
@@johnerdelyi4208 They did, but it's such a faff having to go down to get monies for the next day or two. Plus, at that hotel you had to ask for your locked box to be gotten for you. A room safe is better, especially if your laptop fits in.
No safe in the room is a bit odd and they need to rectify that. I would rather pay the lower price and skip that breakfast of champions in favor of well, just about anything else. That area is swarming with Indians and the Nova Hotel is crammed with them. Strange that this place has not hooked itself up with an supplier of Indians by the coachload. Obviously, they are not greasing the correct palms.
Thanks, David. Yes, a safe in the room is a must for most people these days. I should say the hotel has only just opened and they have lots of plans for improvements including opening the restaurant in the evening and opening a hotel bar. I'm sure they'll add some other facilities, too. Whether the current price is good value for what's already on offer is probably down to personal choice and how much you favour that location. It is lovely and new and the staff were exceedingly helpful!
Thanks for your comment. It's fairly normal for hotels to take a photocopy of your passport pages (they have to inform immigration of your stay) and to take a deposit in case of any incidental expenses or damage. But they shouldn't keep your passport during your stay, and I can only say that's never happened to me anywhere.
great review. for a new hotel, the breakfast, pool area and no room safe needed better planning.

This hotel is guest friendly there is no extra charge for the guest . Answer pls
That is my understanding, correct.
Love the name". Balloon chaser" . A friend who had a bar on Drinking street used it all the time 😂😂😂
Glad you like the name, Sean! Coincidentally, I was walking past Drinking Street yesterday as they were demolishing all the buildings. Sad to see :-(
What a shame, I had some of the best nights out in Pats in Drinking street . It was always my go to place .☹️
@@seanclark2085 Yes, times move on, but many people have happy memories from there. Probably use the land for another hotel, condo or shopping mall!
Nice hotel. The barrier around the roof looks like a tipping hazard. They need to hang a net around second floor.
Thanks, Joe. Yes, I'm sure no business wants you to leave before settling the bill! Netting would help!!

Thanks for the video I may stay here if you stayed longer with family would they do a special price say like 22 days

Can you recommend any reputable bar owners in soi diamond? Nice to see the man behind the camera. Are you going to collaborate with the famous Mr Egg?

so funny yours 18plus sticker in pool. The quality of the sound of your video is very good compare too othes youtubers. 👍
Many thanks Remi. I didn't want to lose all my subscribers by going topless! I'm a big fan of external wireless mics. Thanks for noticing!
Is it service dog friendly?
That's a good question, thank you. The hotel told me that you can't take a dog to stay in the rooms.
That's a bit harsh, I know the standard in Patts has dropped a lot but she can't be that ugly surely
@@willsmith39 I see what you did there :-)
It’s a good price but I’ve had my fair share of bad WiFi hotels where you can’t connect early morning and early evening
Agreed. Good WiFi is essential these days. Definitely worth checking which room they put you in. Or hopefully it's improved since I was last there!
Top floors not ready yet means there will be construction going on above you

G probably means garage
American and British floor numbering always confuses me. (I'm easily confused!)
Only ever stayed in a hotel without a safe once before - never again, its a complete hassle

Send email for room reservation
The best and cheapest way to book a room is by using the Agoda app.
