    My mother was a nurse for 14 years before starting medical school, and at her 40s she graduated and became a resident. Even a former nurse can become a doctor.

    This is very inspiring! I am 23 years old about to graduate with my 2nd degree in with a BSN (ABSN) at NYU. Currently in my last sequence. Throughout my clinical rotations, it really opened my eyes that I wanted to be more than a nurse. I seen some bad apples (doctors) and their interactions with patients while I a student nurse idling standing by observing and can't do much. I would never want anyone to experience that and it just motivated me 110%. I'll try my best and work hard and keep my head high! If MD isn't what God wants me to do, I'll continue onward with my BSN degree and keep moving forward! Keep up the awesome work!

    I'm 29 and will become an LPN in January of next year. Mostly spent a decade messing with retail work until I finally went back to school. After that I wish to go for ADN and then finish my medical transfer track for uni to aim for their med program. I feel discouraged sometimes and my classmates say it's too long and not to do it. But i'd rather be 39/40 years old as a Doctor than that one nurse filled with regret. Nothing wrong with nursing whatsoever. But i'm just so fascinated with the human anatomy and everything medical. It's like a spark that took ten years to go off.

    I loved hearing you say you understand both sides. I'm a surgery nurse and definitely feel like some surgeons have that God complex and dont care about helping the nurse or show us any respect. I wish more people in the doctor or surgeons role felt that way.

    This is very inspiring im 28 and 2 weeks from graduating from my Bachelor of nursing with a graduate position next year at the major hospital where I live here in Gold Coast Australia. I decided to do nursing first so that I can gain clinical knowledge and skills and build on my own attributes so that I can later pursue medicine.

      Hey . How are you? I am from Bangladesh. I want to get admission as doctor in our country . But I can’t bit the high competition of our country. Now I want to go to Australia to be nursing so that I can connected to hospital industry. After becoming a nurse then I want to be a doctor. It’s impossible to get a medical school from our country.
      I want to know about the real truth about this nursing profession.
      1. How hard to be a nurse?
      2. How much time it takes?
      3. How much it cost?
      4. Is it a stressful job?
      5. How much I can earn to be a nurse ( especially aus)?
      6. Can I shift to a doctor in Australia?
      7. What about the job industry ? Is it fair for the job?
      8. What is the impact of mental health ?
      Can you reach out through the social media.

    I am so happy I found this channel, I will be going to university to become a RN. I always wanted to be a doctor but because I didn’t have Higher level maths and physics I thought it wasn’t possible. I will be going back to college to do courses in maths and physics, then I have high hopes of going to med school, I have spoken to a Doctor and told her about my dreams and she said it’s still possible to become a doctor through nursing. Needless to say I didn’t believe her...but now...now. I have a reason to believe again and just need to trust God that he carries me through it. Thank you for mentioning that you were a nurse, you placed a new found hope into my inner being. Thank you!

    I was an Army Medic and am a nurse now and am going to start NP school. I’d love to do medical school instead but it’s just not the best path for a 33 year old with 3 kids. It’s very tempting but seems unwise. In a few years I could be a CRNP versus in more than a decade being an MD. And a good part of that I would be going down significantly in wages.

    • @mannurse7421
      @mannurse7421 ปีที่แล้ว

      I wish there was a bridge from CRNP to MD. But it seems like all roads to MD start from the beginning.

      Hi,
      Thanks for the comment and watching! I would say keep doing what you are doing and keep making good grades. I think you have time to pull up your GPA. College is most important however when applying to medical school so just make sure when you get to college that you start of strong and make good grades but keep up the good work! 👍🏽

      what you do in high school has little effect on your post-undergrad life... so, yeah, it's very possible. just get into college first, lol

    • @catsandas

      Ax3L hey man I really hope you get this, but plss do not fret about high school, and do your self and your wallet a favor and go to community college, there you can take prerequisites for your dream school, get excellent grades (if you apply yourself) and transfer to your undergrad uni which will most likely accept you if you have followed the path to get in (ASSIST) but high school is a joke don’t hesitate do your best but there is no point in tryning to go straight to a uní after hs only after you get to college worry about your grades trustyt

    Sir you are amazing I’m in between the process of joining military reserve army I did rotc at my college but right now I’m working as a Cna I’m going for LVN and I will finish my ROTC to go inas a Officer in army later. I want to become a army doctor in the future I need some advice so I advise me to go for LVN school and enlist in army reserve or me work as a Cna and finish getting my BS degree and apply to medical school. Thank you sir. I really want to go military and do LVN while I’m going to school. But I guess it’s better if I just finish my school and ROTC and maybe later apply to DO MD school

    • @antoniowebbmd
      @antoniowebbmd  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Both are good routes. Military route may take you longer bc of more obligations but you will have more financial assistance. Cons would be the chance to deploy, being sent to bases that you may not want to go, etc. The army will actually train you as an LVN, so if you can get a guaranteed job, that will prob be best if you decide to take that route!

    • @SparksForces
      @SparksForces 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Antonio J. Webb, M.D. thank you sir so much I’m going to do LVN and join reserve afterwards go for my bsn at APU and while I’m doing that I’ll finish rotc program and go in army as Officer and apply to do school later in I heard they have HSPH program

It hasn't been easy but I can't wait to have that MD or DO. What you say is true, it give you a different perspective starting from the bottom up. I think you end up having less ego
