They let me wear my glasses with a strap. Guess its down to the ride op you get
I work as an op at six flags magic mountain where they are king of being ridiculously strict. The reason I think they do this is because they don't really care about them getting lost, they care more about the fact that people get pissed off often about their personal items getting lost, broken, stolen, et cetera (even though it sounds like coaster studios glasses got stolen). This and also if it's like sfmm, people ask all the time to go and retrieve lost items and they just can't do it on the bigger rides until the foremans or supervisors do a track walk at the end of the day, otherwise the ride would obviously experience significant down time. If they are supplying crappy safety glasses, no one cares on the guests, or parks part whether they are lost on the ride or not. Again, this is just what I think in my experience working at sfmm, not saying it's definitive; especially since it is not six flags at all. Just my input as to why. :)

It's actually kinda cool.
Dragster hard accelerates from stop. Like a dragster.
The Ferrari Land coaster idles and has an acceleration curve. Like a Ferrari.
Never actually thought of it that way but that'd make sense
And Kingdaka is really loud and rough just like a lion.
The best thing is it sounds just like an F1 car, really adds to it.
And Stealth launches straight from the station, catching you by surprise like when you stealth a girl during doggy.

The way PortAventura manages rollercoaster operations is trash, there's a single riders queue and they don't use it!
so like six flags with either 1. not making single rider lines or 2. having it closed off when there's a 45 minute wait or longer. Oh and 3. putting lazy af employees on coasters with better capacity so it's pointlessly long anyway when it could be walk-on. @@Takador
You can request a seat if you want, allocating is better as it helps queue management and reduces wait times but if you ask them nicely they will allow you wait for the front or back seat etc
If you ask you have a 90% chance of getting what you ask for.
I had the same exact feeling with that bunny hill. I looked at my dad and talked more about that than the rest of the ride. Great video!

VLPRESL exactly, I would have made them pay for new ones or I’d walk into the gift shop and take a new pair from there, if anyone says anything I’d just say “oh, the ride operator lost mine and she said I could grab a new pair from the gift shop on her” and then I’d leave.
VLPRESL I’m still trying to visualize how that happened. Do they think of themselves as being like the TSA, confiscating banned items? (If so, that’s bizarre when we’re taking about sunglasses.) Or did they take them temporarily and then lose them (in which case, that’s amazing incompetence), or did they “lose” them (in which case, that’s some amazing employee corruption)? I am curious here.
I know! You should’ve reported it. Either they were stolen or lost both of which is bad work on the ops’ part.

Ridden Red Force, Kingda Ka and Stealth and by far Red Force is my fav...you didnt mention how much smoother this ride is comapred to these, I found Kingda Ka to be bordering on insanely rough and on a ride like this, it contributes massively to the enjoyment. I'd honestly say out of the 3 of these I've ridden, Kingda Ka is my least fav :(
it is definitely smoother than Kingda Ka! That ride is only smooth in the front. The OTSR's are a pain too.
Two most important things to take away from Red Force:
1) The bunny hop leading into the brake run is surprising.
2) Be aware of the lap bar that “shoots up” 😂😂
I normally lean forward a little just for fun to see how it feels if the restraints loosen up (Cuz i always bet pinned) and the red force lap bars slapped me right in the face
3. Dont wear sunglasses
I can’t believe you didn’t even mention the noise this thing makes.....it sound like a F1 car going down the launch, it’s amazing! I was one of the first people to ride Red Force in the dark and also have have well over 500,000 views of my Red Force pov 👍🏻👍🏻

Absolutely loved this coaster! Only went on it 2 times though. This is because the park was so full!
When I went this summer in August I went alone so went through the single rider line and managed to have my first ride in the front! It was so awesome, I haven't done Dragster or King, and I knew all the stats going into riding it of course by holy crap I was not expecting how it would actually end up feeling was awesome!
So what happens when you keep your arms on the lap bar?

I went here in October as a solo traveller on holiday. Went in the single rider queue and ended up on the front. Couldn't believe it. What I love it was after the Spanish guy next to me gave me a high five
Was on this 4 times yesterday.. the first time with the fast pass I got row one.. the second time I got 1st again using the single rider queue.. couldn't believe my luck. Was in the back the final 2 times.. very shaky back there! Loved red force tho.. could ride that all day long.

That bunny hop is the same thing at Fahrenheit at Hersheypark even after I knew it was there it was still fun
I was also going to mention in response to coaster studios discrete question on the bunny hop into the brakes.
With those types of brakes, the train needs to coast down a minimum grade of slope, to be able to proceed back to the station and or drive tires. So the train probably needed to meet the brakes which had to be at a minimum height above the height of the station/drive tires, to allow for coasting through the brakes to meet the drive tires. On Intamin's brakes, the copper aluminum fins are not powered or controlled by anything, and only slow the train down by kinetic energy of the train/neodymium magnets, and only when they are moving. As the train slows down the magnetic field generated decreases as the speed decreases. So the only way to advance the train in those brakes is to have a slope that requires significant hight at the start of the brakes.
That was a pretty long and overcomplicated response, but talking about roller coaster tech and magnetic fields are probably my favorite engineering topics. O_o
If anyone else loves that stuff there is this freaking amazing video showing examples and the theory of why neodymium magnets reacting to copper. Exactly how roller coasters are slowed down that use magnetic brakes.

There's actually a POV video on youtube of a rollback on this coaster. There's also a video of a double rollback on Red Fire at ViaSea, so I guess rollbacks do happen on LSM coasters after all.
Although I'm unlikely to get to Europe to ride Red Force, I really like the straight drop, compared to the spirals on Dragster and Ka. The only other Intamin launch coaster I've ridden is Storm Runner, and short as that is, comparatively, I thought the straight-down drop was more effective than either of the two stratas.
I have only been on 2 accelerators, Stealth and Rita ,both in the UK). Would love to ride red force or ka one day, I also would like to ride TTD when it reopens.
I was there in October. I don't think it's that you have to sit where they say, it's just that so few people ask, it really throws them off. It was like that over at PortAventura also.
The day I visited, I got the genuine Ferrari experience. Every ride broke down at least once...seriously.
pretty solid ride. luckily got front row my first time from the single rider queue, due to some little spanish kid, also from the single rider queue, (honestly he looked about 7, barely over the height limit) begged and begged for front row. cool kid

I rode this roller coaster and I agree with you, except one thing I disagree with you - in my opinion the launch is very forceful but you rode Kingda Ka and Top Thrill Dragster so probably the launch in Red Force is less forceful than the launch in Kingda Ka and Top Thrill Dragster. BTW nice video!

Was on it today. 25.09.2019. Got to pick my seat 9 out of 12 times. Was told and shown to cross my arms and hands across my chest while Lap bars came up
7:17 idk what day you went but when I went, no matter what time, there was at least a 1hour line. Oh well, I’m going there again I think sometime between 1-4 if January and I’ll just hope there isn’t a extremely long line.
You didn’t mention this, but I sound the launch makes. It may be just me but the race car sound really adds to the ride in my opinion lol.

Hyperion also has these goggles in front row but i've ridden without them in summer and with them on haloween and it didn't change much, my eyes were still tearing

Rode it yesterday for the first time. I loved it, pretty insane for my opinion. I was pretty shocked though by how much it rattles. First row is totally fine (definitely the best one) but in the middle and last it is extremely rough. Not as much as Furious Baco, but getting there unfortunately.
yeah my head was pretty rattled after this one but it was great. I think furius bacos launch was my fave though, no warning as such

Fun fact: The reason they now make you wear goggles at the front because some guy got smacked in the face by a pigeon during the launch.
I just found out about this coaster yesterday it's the 4th tallest in the world I've been on ka and to be honest I like this one better then dragster or ka it looks so smooth shooting up that tower..and of you think you actually go down way faster then ka or dragster cause as soon as you go over the top you immediately hit a left and glide down...the others twist so it slows you down in a way and this looks better then the other two..so what it's 367 feet tall it's awesome

I would love to see a strata coaster that has an actual classic coaster track attached to the drop. How awesome would that be? I probably would be too expensive for most parks to consider I guess but man.. I want this thing to actually use the huge drop for something.

I saw red force rollback once I was at the el paso hotel and and I went to the pool and when I got ice cream I look at red force and it was half way rolling back.

Whenever I think of this park I always think of Ferrari world. It's really funny because you'd think I'd be able to distinguish between the UAE and Spain 🤣
The only thing I am concerned about is the seats. I don't know but, not having the chest support and literally having no support at all where you can hold on, other than the usual hand grip. Is it a concern or with all that speed and drop you don't really need that kind of chest support like you see in other roller coasters?
LSM makes more sense for the F1 theme as well now that I think of it.
Their goal was to make you feel like the drivers. F1 cars take some time to hit their top as well.
Where as top fuel dragsters on the other hand accelerate very, insanely fast

I’ve just realised another reason why it rolls into the launch rather than launching from a standstill like Taron, it might just be coincidence but it may be to simulate an F1 car pulling out of a pit stop and entering a race like in real life cos u don’t see F1 cars pull out, stop and then enter a race. Just a random thought I thought I’d share. Maybe it is maybe it isn’t?
How could you not have mentioned that the sound the launch makes sounds exactly like a Ferrari sports car? To me, that adds a lot of personality to the ride while trying to immerse guest into riding an actual Ferrari

Hi, was wondering how forceful the launch is in comparison to stealth and Furious baco, as I was really excited about this until I found out it took a whole 5 seconds to reach top speed...??
I’ve been on this ride and it’s honestly amazing I would say the launch was pretty powerful but it’s one of the best rides I ever been on I highly recommend this
Almost as powerful as Baco's but way longer. It is a very different experience. It worth riding it. I loved it!

Taylor, have you ever experienced any roll backs on Kingda Ka or TTD at Cedar Point? If so, did it freak you out?
Detroit Diezel I have not, however I was one train away from a rollback on dragster, and one time the train I was on for Kingda Ka stalled at the top. Had there probably been one less person in the train, we would've rolled back for sure. We just BARELY made it over, it was insane

This is themed so well it’s insane. It even sounds like a race car. Though I’ll probably never ride it in my life. I think dragster looks better. I think what sets dragster apart is you have nothing but a lap bar and you feel completely exposed.

Well yeah those lap bars are fats boi. I mean this resort usually gets some crazy crowd levels so they want to keep the lines moving obviously to satisfy guests. In the ideal scenario the bars would go up and from that until they can send the train into the lading area within 7 seconds. That is if people are quick of course but that's the efficiency they run with to get people through and keep them satisfied. Unlike some parks that will have slow operations in order to encourage fast pass sales.
The drop on ka felt like nothing and the one on red force looks soooo much better
What about smoothness? Ka shakes like mad --crazy but you can't even see -- I'd give up 16 MPH for a night and day difference there.
