It is amazing the work and effort Gravity Group puts in there coasters. I think they deserve lots of credit for this one. The layout could not be better, they just packed in so much in almost 5,000 ft of track. You never know what they could do next.
And to think that this was their first roller coaster, for The Gravity Group to build an insane ride like this as a startup~ I mean this park took a chance on The Gravity Group, and I think it was a total success.
I always thought this roller coaster looked fascinating, but worried if I would be wasting my time traveling all the way up to Wisconsin. This review has helped me make up my mind, time to schedule a trip!
when I went on hades, I went in the back row and there was a dude in front of me with a Samsung and some apple headphones, and this park is so wild, they let him have them on during the ride. The tunnel was pitch black and all I saw was the dude's Samsung flopping around.
Hey Taylor, I really appreciate this channel it helps me see theme parks while I live 500 plus miles from the nearest major theme park. Keep it up man!
The original Hades was my first roller coaster EVER. Then they added the corkscrew a few years later and I loved it. I never realized how rare and unique the underground element was for a wooden roller coaster until now. It’s really sad because the park is declining in popularity and I’m sure they’ll be heading for closure eventually. Seeing the main drop as I drive closer and closer to the park is and will always remain iconic to me. Thanks for the awesome review!
Mt. Olympus isn’t that good, but Hades and Zeus are awesome. I’d say go there for a day and ride those rides, then just head back, the rest of the park isn’t worth it
Advice from someone who has been to Mt Olympus several times in family vacations, go for the wooden roller coasters and go cart tracks. Nothing else is really that great. Unfortunately now you have to book a stay to get a park pass, but if you plan it while you're already staying in WI Dells, it can be a good day.
@@obi-wankenobi2630 facts the go karts and the two biggest coaster (Hades 360 and Zeus) are a great, but the park Mt. Olympus as a whole, not well run whatsoever
If it was Roman then the rides Hades and Zeus would be named Pluto and Jupiter. The architectural style is generally termed Greco-Roman as (like most other things) the Romans shamelessly copied anything they liked. Not to sell the Romans short in this regard, they would typically do what they copied better than the original producer if nothing else more prolifically.
Yeah ok but see Taylor is a TH-camr. The word “TH-camr” basically translates to “who cares about school!!” And most people watching this are probably avoiding their homework anyway.... 🤩🥳😎🤓😂🤣🤣
I would be very careful cause it is very rickety due to it being a wooden rollercoaster, but it was pretty fun if you like rollercoasters. I don't, so I didn't really enjoy it. Another warning but the seats are plastic as well and the ride moves a lot so you could hurt after this ride. It's a LOT faster than the video makes it seem.
I was there on 6/18/2020(two days ago) & the only seatbelt on HADES 360 that saw was the one attached to the restraint as a secondary back-up just in case the main restraint pops open.....much like Banshee or Vortex at Kings Island
I had a blast hanging out with @Park Pros last week at Silver Dollar City! Check out his full VLOG, I was impressed with how many rides we were able to knock out in just 3 hours!!! LINK: th-cam.com/video/pepUHF7-F5k/w-d-xo.html
I had the pleasure of riding this before and after the 360 inversion. Prior to the inversion it was a "general intense" roller coaster, something to be thrilled by, but not necessarily anything too significant about it. After the inversion it was wild. The last time I took a ride with the inversion was prior to the track work and re-cresting. It was roughest in the tunnel, with those transitions being not quite as smooth (but that may also be the pitch black and lack of awareness to where exactly we were going.) It generally felt overall rougher, like "precisely cut wood without the final sanding," type of rougher, but most of the wooden roller coasters there feel that way. Unfortunately I did not ride it this past summer when I was in Mount Olympus, as my wife and I were already wore out that day. As far as the other roller coasters felt this summer, they all seem to have gotten a bit better (less rough than I remembered). The standout being Zeus. This summer I rode it once, and it was smooth and had all the great hallmarks a general wooden roller coaster should. That's my favorite in the park, not too intense, but with plenty of exciting corners and air time. I could ride Zeus all day.
I rode this roller coaster yesterday and I'm glad I did. If you're visiting Mt. Olympus or Wisconsin Dells, definitely ride this coaster at least once. I had the privilege of sitting front row and the view/experience was just awesome. The ride going under the parking lot felt really nice and cold. The only downside was I wished Mt. Olympus had 2 or 3 cars just like Valleyfair or any other amusement park just so the line could move a bit quicker. Also, since we're in the world of COVID at the moment, social distancing in line wasn't in sight due to how many people want to go on the coaster. And as much as I love renegade at VF, I'd say this coaster is my favorite wooden coaster so far!! I hope I'll come back here in the future!!
I have to be honest, when I first saw the POV for this thing, I was in awe of that awesome lit tunnel with two track segments going through it. I would love to experience that on a coaster! Whizzing past the wall and lights at a high speed, then emerging out back into the light haha, looks awesome!
The high brake runs and stations are probably so the train doesn't hit the brakes too fast. The park likely wanted to pay for a coaster that goes that high and that fast, but didn't want to pay for enough track length to burn off all that speed. So you put the brakes up higher so the train doesn't hit them at a million miles an hour.
Maybe the long climb to reach the station platform is a hidden physical fitness test to be sure that the riders are up to the task of riding that beast. (No, wait, The Beast is a different coaster at Kings Island.)
Got to ride this twice back when it reopened with the loop in the parking lot. Let's just say it is crazy with the roughest, most painful transitions. At the time we rode this coaster there was a horrible bump at the bottom of the large hill at the beginning. Extremely violent which hurt every inch of your body. I cannot imagine why there has not been injuries or accidents on this coaster.
Rode this about 2 years ago and it was awesome. This was the tallest coaster I've rode at the time, and it was my first time going upside-down, but I frickin loved it.
Great review! Absolutely correct about getting headaches riding repeatedly (though my experiences were pre-2018). I had the opportunity to ride this before and after the major alterations, and the “Hades is aggressive today” sign has been a staple of the queue even before the inversion. Always thought that was funny
I agree that the ride is awesome. I rode it twice there. One of my all-time favorites. I even read that this coaster holds the record of the worlds longest underground tunnel.
Has that 2nd double-down always been there, or was it added as part of that 2018 re-tracking? Because I rode this coaster back in 2016, and I don't remember that part being anything more than an airtime(less) hill.
Good video! Glad you liked this coaster, it's such a unique ride. I live about 45 minutes from the Dells and have ridden this coaster many times over the years, including the pre-360 version, and yeah, it definitely got better after they put in the inversion and reprofiled it a bit, although I still really liked it beforehand. I haven't gotten up there yet this year, I'm hoping to get up there in the next couple of weeks.
I live in Milwaukee and have yet to go to this park. I hope to get there in the next 2 years and am very excited to have the chance to go on hades 360.
I just got back from there - waited to watch the coaster come out of the tunnel on the other side of the parking lot - took some time because they aren't running these fast - one train running takes time to wait and watch...looks insane out of the tunnel
We rode on this last weekend and it was a blast! It felt so fast and very intense! I'd really like to be able to rode Goliath at 6 Flags Great America shortly after this one to compare. I'm sure it is better, but Hades360 was definitely a blast!! Although, I did have a small headache after riding it.
Excellent. The only problem I have with this Review is that I kinda liked Hades 360 being my secret little gem I could show people. haha I've been eyeballing this thing from afar for years! This thing looks absolutely fantastic and I can't wait to get on it! It's top 5 bucket list for me. Great vid man! Thanks for such a detailed review
I rode it on Monday three times. One thing you didn't mention in your review - the temperature in the tunnel. It has to be twenty degrees cooler or more down there. Really felt good on a hot day.
I remember back in like 2013 I was around 9 years old and I got on all the coasters except this because I thought I would die in the loop😂, I regret not getting on it because I’ve never gotten a chance to go back yet
I rode it last year, and I agree with your thoughts on it. I said a lot of the same things in my review of it. I also gave it a 9.5. I'm a huge fan of this thing. I have it as my 4th favorite woodie, behind Lightning Rod, Outlaw Run, and El Toro (haven't been on Voyage yet).
When I rode this, no joke, a maintenance worker went on the track in the station when I was sitting on the brake run. I don't know what he was fixing on the track but I was sitting their in the hot sun for 30min.
When I rode it, I'd only seen lights-on POVs, so I wasn't prepared for just how dark that tunnel really is. And then it occurred to me that it's right there in the name, so I really shouldn't have been surprised.
Amazing coaster!!!! Rode it 8 times last year, the inversion is crazy, since it is a wooden coaster it will have that bit of roughness to it but other than that top 3 coaster for me
I agree roughness can sometimes add to intensity, I have not ridden Hades 360 but I have ridden other wooden coasters with that same aspect. I honestly think if RMCS where not glossy smooth and had a little jank to them, they would be even more intense.
Road this a bunch of times before they added the loop and after they added the loop. Both ways this was one of the wildest rollercoaster experiences we ever had, but, wow was it rough! Hopefully it is smoother today, but, sometimes riding was so painful I couldn't believe it was allowed to operate. After a number of years both my kids and I stopped riding it to avoid the guaranteed post ride back/neck pain and headache.

I have cousins in Madison so I've been a few times, and I definitely agree with your analysis. The one thing I'll say though is this is NOT the reason to go to Mt.Olympus. That's reserved for the insanity that is backset Cyclops.
You didn't miss out on Hades pre Hades 360 tbh. It was still a good ride, but it was had a lot of maintenance issues (like most of the park did pre 2014 tbh not sure why it used to be so bad), was way rougher in the tunnel, the parking lot hill was just ok, and the hill immediately after the second tunnel was always a 50/50 on whether or not the ride would break and you'd have to climb down from there. I've had the misfortune of getting stuck at that spot three times prior to it being Hades 360. I'd say the tunnel experience, despite the roughness, may have been a bit better because they had no lights installed in it so you never had to worry about getting a ride where the lights were on in the tunnel lol.
Great review as always, Coaster Studios. Love the pre lift section and impressive tunnel. It bums me out that those trains never replaced the PTCs on The Voyage at my beloved Holiday World despite extensive testing. The literal handchopper freaked me out. I have a bit of a wingspan so thanks for the warning on that one.
Coaster Studios ok, I was just giving suggestions bc the lockdown might make finding content a bit hard... I was wondering, though, if you could do updates on park re-openings, bc that information would be nice to know... if you don’t want to do that then it’s fine, your current content is awesome on its own.

Well the theme is basically Hell, so....
Hell 360 at six flags America, discovery kingdom, and more!
If I had to add anything would be the loudness in the tunnel
Oh yeah it's incredibly loud in the tunnel and that's honestly the only part I don't really like on the entire coaster.

It is suuuuuper loud in the tunnel, the first few times I rode Hades I covered my ears so they wouldn’t ring. I eventually got used to it tho

Rode this thing in 2014, waited two hours for it. Holy hell it was pretty rough but it was worth it.
Gosh if they could rmc this ride it would be GOLDEN
The Ravine Flyer II at Waldameer is a Gravity Group Coaster with seatbelts.
Excalibur at Funtown Splashtown. Closing for the season maybe forever. Please review it’s my 2nd closest park
The staff at FunTown is taking this season to refurbish along the park's property, to make a return for 2021.
And another one on the bucketlist
Great review as always, Coaster Studios. Love the pre lift section and impressive tunnel. It bums me out that those trains never replaced the PTCs on The Voyage at my beloved Holiday World despite extensive testing.
The literal handchopper freaked me out. I have a bit of a wingspan so thanks for the warning on that one.
Ummm... Is your friend who hit the rail on the catwalk okay?
Oh Yeah he’s fine lol
Coaster Studios Good lol
What is your top 10 wood? It would be cool to get back to a few updated top 10’s.
Video idea: play planet coaster with silvarret, I would totally watch that
I don’t play Planet Coaster
Coaster Studios ok, I was just giving suggestions bc the lockdown might make finding content a bit hard... I was wondering, though, if you could do updates on park re-openings, bc that information would be nice to know... if you don’t want to do that then it’s fine, your current content is awesome on its own.
@@sebdapleb1523 airtime thrills does park reopening updates on occasion, i suggest checking those out.
SmileBullet thanks for telling me, I’ll check those out
Love your color correcting😂😂😂
Thank you Taylor! 👍👏
