Exactly like Andor, and it's amazing to me how easily people give up on seasons. Andor took 6 episodes of slow burn for it all to kick off and then it was full throttle til the end. And here we have the same. Why people can't grasp that all the action can't happen in the first half of a season and then finish on a low is beyond me.
@@KO_infamous people say this but by episode 3 of Andor the first arc wraps up in a pretty cool battle culminating in cereal realizing in that exact moment that he had, indeed, fucked up Andor kills 2 officers in self defense after leaving a high class brothel where he was looking for his sister. All within the first 5 minutes of the show. If that's slow burn people just have microscopic attention spans. I really found the meeting of the Imperial Warlords very interesting. I also found it rather telling that only Hux and Pellaeon wore proper imperial Uniforms.
@@ronniewhitedx I honestly think next episode we could actually see thrawn finish off Gideon after he leaves with his tail between his legs from Mandalore
If Grogu tries and fails seeing Gideon kill Din or Bo I can see some lightning building up around Grogu's new vehichle/body as we see him lift his head with a snarl on his face and orange eyes taking revenge using the force and droid body combined to end Gideon and a few innocents who get in the way. Leaving us with one of our hero's looking at a Grogu walking towards them holding the Darksaber now as we get his first words "This is the way" as the saber rises and through small flashes of what happened to him on after escaping Order 66 going between who rescued him and memories of being tortured and just as the screen cuts we hear the voice of Thrawn calm asking "is that what you really want to do?" Pick up that scene in an episode of Ashoka.
Very interesting the reveal how Bo Katan surrendered the Darksaber to Moff Gideon because I truly wondered how he possibly bested her in battle. Now it makes more sense and of course Gideon didn’t keep his word. It was such a tough choice for Bo as a leader to keep her people alive. Paz Vizsla was so awesome and went out like a champ. I’m rooting for The Mandalorians to stay together and be successful. Incredible breakdown Charlie.
Moff Gideon being on Mandalore this whole time building his base and commanding the former death watch mauldalorians was a crazy reveal! Thanks Charlie !!
When I saw the white armour, I assumed they were elite storm troopers outfitted with beskar instead of plastoid. Also, I had a flashback to that scene from TRoS, "They fly now!?!?" And it was a bit of a payoff b/c the fighters/bombers that attacked Bo Katan's palace were explicitly short range from in the Mandalore system.
@@KupiecKorzenny_EmhyrVarEmreis No Breaking Bad reference. When I see white armour, I just automatically think storm trooper. On second watch, I noticed that their helmets are Mandaloian and their armour was made of plates on fabric. In the Clone Wars series, the Mandalian armour was mostly shown personalised and battle worn. Bright and shiny new feels like Imperial standard issue. Mandalian traitors working for Gideon never occurred to me.
I believe there's a connection between Moff Gideon and the armorer. The helmets are one example but more importantly she was quick to leave the planet...like she was expecting the set-up.
His son will grow up hearing the legend of his mighty father, inspired by him to always protecting Mandalore and its rulers, the House of Kryze. He is the scion of a legendary hero. This is the Way!
It was great to finally see Paz go complete beast mode. Din did his best but Paz showed what a true warrior is capable of. I almost skipped this episode because of last weeks abomination but I'm glad I didnt.
Hope Ahsoka turns up in the Finale to help rescue Din with Grogu leading to her hunt for Thrawn and her / Sabine Wren look for Ezra Bridger. Thank You Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni your story telling is second to none ❤

Any one else think that Bo could have used the dark saber in the glass to at least save Din? It was probably easier to cut through than the metal door, but for like 1 or 2 minutes everyone just watched. Yet again he's a damsel in distress lololol As for "the spies", I too think the boat survivors are plausible candidates. They lead the Mandos to an Imperial entrenched position via the slowest transport possible (with how many bombers and fighters there are in that hanger, they must've been there for a while). Plus a large group of them are being shipped into the heart of the fleet (with the cruiser likely being the only place with a decent med bay)
I was under the impression that Moff Gideon cloned himself for the dark trooper suits. They were in the cloning pods when he walked through in the beginning and he said “the best part is they have me in it”. Anyone else?
I think that piece of fruit Grogu picked up over his head & squeezed was a callback to an episode of Rebels where Ezra & Zeb were on a wild goose chase for one.
Putting names and faces to the Empire's Mandos would be a great way to establish a common enemy with the Mandalorians while also showing the larger galactic threats like the Shadow Council and Thrawn. I feel like this may lead to Ahsoka protecting force sensitive children from the Empire's cloning experiments thus leading them to Luke and him trying to restore the Jedi Order.
In this episode, we got a lot of elements of surprise. I like how Grogu got to operate IG-12, how they met with the remaining of the mandalorian on the planet Mandalore, the emergence of metasor and also the appearances of the Red color Praetorian Guard & Moff Gideon new suit. In the finale, usually Grogu Grogu is the one who get saved, but this time things turn around with Grogu saving Din probably with the help of Metasor, could't wait for it!
Ashoka or the Ghost Ship with Hera showing up in the finale would also provide a good tie in to the Ashoka show and provide those characters context for the larger implications of the Thrawn arrival. The new republic with Zeb could also provide that thread. It feels like one of those would help to move Ashoka's story beyond just searching for Ezra and stumbling upon a bigger plot. They all have ties to Bo-Katan too
Something interesting finally happened on this show!!! Edit: Bokatan says to Mando "no side can step in" when she's talking about the fight on the ship, but Grogu does. What you're saying about grogu being the person who unites everyone is definitely alluded to during that scene.
Paz Viszla went out like a true Mandalorian, it was both inspiring and heartbreaking. I hope they don't kill Din and that someone takes Gideon's head for his atrocities.
What surprises me is that Din said him and his clan doesn't care much of the dark Saber. He believes more of the people and loyalty in others. Which gives either a theory or not, that the dark Saber will be destroyed. Just like in jedi fallen order cal said a lightsaber doesn't make you a jedi.
First off - that landing on Mandalore by the Mandalorians was one of the best scenes EVER! That got me right in feels knowing it was two warring factions coming together to re-take their home planet! Just awesome!!! Something you ovelooked - After the holo-chat, Moff Gideon walks down a 'hallway' with red force field-like sliding doors that open in turn as he is walking toward each one. This reminded me of the old 60's TV show Get Smart, but without the humour of them closing...
There is no way the armorer isn't working with or for Gideon Her timing is way to perfect in this episode. And the spike on the helmet thing just ties it together to well she could have removed the spikes anytime being who she is.
Yeah. You’d think that visiting the Great Forge would be mandatory pilgrimage for any self respecting Mandalorian smith. …and right before their tour leads them their, she was like; “Hey, I’m going to take our ride out of here to get some bandaids and Tylenol.”
My initial gut reaction... One or more of the resident Mandalorians in the sailing vessel. They've been there since the 'Night of a Thousand Tears'. They knew the location of the 'Great Forge', which as we saw from the firefight was just around the corner hallway from Moff's main ships hangar. Some had to know Moff was there, and they didn't tell Bo. I don't want to believe it's the Armorer, but we will know as soon as she gets back to Bo's fleet with the injured.
Best episode of Season 3!!! Holy hell, this episode was incredible! The return of Moff Gideon is such a welcome piece. Giancarlo Esposito is an incredible actor. The tease of the Thrawn return is really setting up the Ahsoka series. The sacrifice of Pas Vizsla is really emotional. I damn near cried. This show almost got me like with the sacrifice of IG-11 in the Season 1 Finale. Godspeed, Pas. *This is the Way.* But, also, all of these Mandalorians are badass. I also liked the reveal of why Gideon had the Darksaber before. Also, Din Djarin is a loyal you-know-what. Him pledging allegiance to Bo-Katan was beautiful. Grogu in the IG-12 is a certified toy to be sold (hella cute though). As for who was the inside person in the rank, my money is on The Armorer, Axe Wolves, Koska Reeves or those 3 Mandalorians who were on that pirate ship. Those are my guesses. Unlike others, I'm not cynical towards Season 3. I do acknowledge that it could have been better written and structured. However, despite questionable writing and developments, I've enjoyed the 3rd season. Can't wait for the finale on Wednesday!
So since it seems pretty clear you need a specialist to forge Beskar I think the armorer created these trooper armors, and the work with Gideon was a cause of the split in deathwatch she talks of.
Theory: Agreed. I think Grogu is going to lose his nut that Din has been captured and use the Mythosaur with Bo to destroy their base while Gideon's troops are up fighting the other Mandalorians. The New Republic might then arrive and destroy the rest of his fleet. Gideon makes a run for it. Happy days. But the next episode will end with Gideon confessing defeat to the Shadow Council, at which point Thrawn will appear...
Moff also lied in the meeting, saying he wasn't interested in the cloaning stuff when he clearly is. Man, this was a great episode with so many EE. It's like when you're a kid and you get a BIG piece of cake even though it's not your bday.
I think this episode was my favorite of the series by far: - fantastic development for Grogu's character - the head nod with Din are you kidding me?! - Din and Bo-Katan's relationship progressing and show Din's loyalty and admiration for Bo and belief in her being able to unite the Mandalorian's - reveal showing Moff Gideon being free on Mandalore - the shadow council + another name drop of Thrawn - more involvement of new Mandalorian groups we are introduced to on Mandalore - the fight scene was fantastic - Moff Gideon's Mandalorian armor was un-fucking-real good - heart breaking ending and a cliff hanger for the finale - Paz's death to the Praetorian Guards was brutal, Din being captured in front of Grogu was brutal finale has a chance to be absolutely bananas: Grogu could rescue Din, big space battle in orbit of Mandalore, Bo vs Moff Gideon, potential Thrawn mega-teasers... I am lit for this.
@@favcakes Google it, several articles around it. No confirmed certainties. While I do like Bo Katan and much of the new story line it sure does seem like Din is becoming more and more of a side character. I hope its just because of the current story arc and the rumors are wrong, love the dad and son duo.
Crazy Theory: Maybe somehow Moff will clone Din and use Grogu's blood, I force sensitive Mando army would be hard to defeat. Moff did say he wants the best of Mandalorian and Jedi.
@@thriller1767 Din Djarin could be the next Jango Fett, a template for a new and improved force sensitive clone army. Just a thought since storm troopers suck and Mandalorian clones would be superior.
Calling it now: the armourer is a double agent working with moff gideon the entire time… the episode is called “the spies” (plural). She also voluntarily went back to the cruiser just before the encounter with the gideon troops.
And bringing "injured" Mandos into the fleet, because it's too convenient that there were some survivors in Mandalore without Gideon knowing, he would have trashed them at some point, the Armorer is good at fighting, but she can't take a light cruiser full of Mandos on her own, even if there are a couple of her own on board.
Grogu got his armor.... They really know how to keep secrets and spoilers free. I love that. Season finale is going to be epic and probably with a cliffhanger.
AWESOME EPISODE!!! Awesome season so far. Can't wait to rewatch. So many scenes from this season are etched in my brain because of how awesome they are. Kudos to the actors and to Favreau. Dang!!!
Feels like the armorer made a deal with Gideon and Bo’s speech of honesty about how she made a deal with him and he betrayed her is going to pay off and now the armorer will flip it on Gideon before he flips it on her.
IG is now stand for Iron Grogu. This droid carriage needs full mandalorian armor over it. Big budget savings if Grogu is inside the droid inside the Mandalorian armor. Maybe Grogu will save his dad like that by putting a super commando armor on IG-12. "Aren't you a little short for a stormtrooper?"
This also explained why Din couldn't use the darksaber and Boka Tan could use it so well...she was never defeated in combat by Gideon therefore she never lost the Saber, so it really never did belong to Din in the end it was always hers
Have some questions: 1. Why didn't Bo use light saber to cut front door to save din? 2. If Paz can take all the white guys, looks like they can take down the red guys if bo and others hasn't fleed?
Charles Baker aka Skinny Pete as a Mandalorian Scout Survivor?! Great episode other than Paz dying, I thought it was a bit early for his character and would’ve loved to see him play a part in rebuilding Mandalore and being apart of the Great War against Thrawn. Still hoping to see Tristan Wren, Opal Jexx, Fenn Rau, and Moss Mero. Need more prominent Mandalorians alongside Din, Grogu, Bo, Koska. And Axe now that Paz is gone.
I sure hope the armourer is not with Gideon ,her character is needed to keep the tribes together. Maybe she is a double agent ,and eventually turn on moff G. Also she has a strong link to Din so maybe we find that out next episode.
That would suck if she was a spy That would be the same level of absurd as Hux in TROS I mean, she is helping all Mandalorians for dozens of years. She's getting them Beskar, Armor, Weapons and all. She's taking care of all of them. She's the one who's talking about reuniting since the season 1. So that would absolutely suck if she betrayed them Also Maul was anti palpatine so even she served Maul, that doesn't make sense if she's gonna serve the Empire
So if I read the tea leaves correctly we just learned something big. The armorer is a spy for Gideon. It never made sense why she suddenly was okay with Bo, and through that she guaranteed that all the surviving Mando's would be in one place. She also left and went back to the fleet just in time with the 'perfect' excuse. The most obvious clue is the horns on her and Gideons helmets. It would also explain how Gideon learned how to forge Beskar. Remember the title of the episode is Spies, not Spy.
Yes. Sth was not right when the Armorer suggested flying the casualties back. But I believe she genuinely wanted to protect Din, until he finally went back, which was why she kept insisting there's no point going back to Mandalore. Not forgetting she was from Deathwatch as well. That said, she's likely to have cut the same deal as Bo Katandid initially, & Bo Katan's story might have reminded her not to trust Gideon, & thus she went back to help the fleet prepare for the attack, if only to cut loses & save the fleet to fight another day.
@@HairyJuan You could tell that in season 3 they no longer focus on Mando. If the rumor is true that Pedro is leaving the show, then yes they can kill him and move on with other characters, like Bo-Katan. Although I sure don't want them to kill Mando, I would just prefer they recast Mando though, after all, Mando keeps the helmet on most of the time.
The minute that blast door came down, I expected her to cut a hole in it with the black light saber so they could rush in and save the ones were trapped.
One thing I noticed is with Kane being inside the requisitions office it will allow here to read reports for fuel, ammo, and other essentials equipment to different locations and planets helping her track new republic movement and report on it without raising suspicion.
After Pazs kick ass fighting scene by defeating all of Gideons soldiers why didn't Paz jet pack out the ceiling hole when he saw the three Praetorian guards walking towards him? Felt like watching a bad "Bullfight" in a caged in arena seeing Paz's pathectic attempts to fight off sabers? screaming at him to "use your jetpack!"..."use your jetpack!" only to see him succumb, slump over and plop to the floor dead? Yeah, didn't see that stupid coming.
I've got to say I really enjoyed the episode, right up until the end. The mandalorians were trapped between blast doors when bo katan literally has the darksaber. They sat there for several minutes watching mando, Paz vizla and others be captured when they have the ability to escape or attack in a few seconds, only to wait for the monologue to escape. Then on top of that Paz visla was able to fight off the entire battalion single handedly only to be taken out by the praetorians. The mandolorians could have just pushed through the blast doors with the darksaber, attacked, and won easily. But they ran away? If felt like too much oversight and cliches. Walking into an obvious trap, chasing retreating imperials INTO an imperial hallway base, A lightsaber wielder standing trapped behind blast doors with "glass," listening to a monologue. A needless heroic sacrifice to cover a retreat in an easily winnable battle. A shoehorned "this is the father of the guy from that other film" cameo.
Can't put into words how excited I am for Lars Mikkelsen as thrawn. One of the best actors ever in my opinion, and he is perfect for Thrawn as a character. Even down to his speech patterns and mannerisms.
I am so grateful for any and all Star Wars we get. We truly are in a golden era for Star Wars.. I grew up during a time when we didn't get any new Star Wars for 15+ years.. I will never take it for granted getting new Star Wars. This was an amazing episode. So much Mandalorians in action! Thanks for the breakdown Charlie! This is the way!
Great Breakdown. Like how you noted Gideon has 0 love for Thrawn, and NOR SHOULD HE! He's a Megalomaniac and wants all power for himself. To point others have raised on Armorer being a spy... sure, she could be pero it doesn't line up story wise... The Armorer sent Din on his journey of redemption, where he (on his own) went to Bo-Katan on his own accord, and they happened to see the Mythosaur. It was only after that when they spoke to her & on Din/Bo-Katan's urging went back to settle Mandalore. Again, could she be a spy? Sure, I get it w/Helmet, etc. pero at end of the day she gathered the various mandalorians in one spot to "set up" when coming out of Gideon's own mouth, he didn't see them as an issue UNTIL she gathered them in one spot. I feel this is a misdirect, and she will be a "reveal" but most likely in a different direction.
Didn’t Axe say he had to go to his ship to warn the others? The scouting party consisted of one ship and it returned to the fleet with the Armorer. Soooo, Axe made up an excuse to leave because he knew what was coming. My guess is that Bo Katan has figured that out and will likely kill him on sight. Axe is the spy.
Boba would get one shove to the ground from a Stormy and have to be rushed of to his bacta tank for a 24 hour recovery session thus ending up being no use at all xd
"Every culture has something to offer" is a great line from Gideon because Thrawn has the same ideology. The difference is though that Thrawn uses other cultures to LEARN how to control/defeat them psychologically instead of just taking and using it physically like Gideon
I’ve been thinking a lot about the other spy/spies because I don’t want it to be the armorer or Axe Woves… I think the survivors the Armorer is taking to the fleet are the other spies and she will end up killing them. Meanwhile Axe will contact the fleet warning them and the fleet will win a space battle then bring in the cavalry. Bo will head to the living waters, Grogu will help her tame the mythosaur and they will rampage through the imperials for all of the Mandalorians to see. So Bo will have the dark saber and the mythosaur and finally be the ruler of Mandalor. Or have you considered that the other spy is working for Thrawn and is orchestrating a resurgent Mandalor to take out his primary rival, Moff Gideon as a power move to reassert dominance over the shadow council?
I'm thinking he probably didn't want to be seen. He was in IG-12 hiding behind the other Mandalorian. Had Moff seen him he probably would have taken him. Just my guess. Not sure why Bo waited to use the Darksaber.
Hope that next episode Thrawn will show up and takes and says something similar like Thanos: Fine I will do it my self or children had their turn now its time to get serious Found interesting that when Gideon had his suit of Beskar he had what horns on his helmet. Which was the from that faction that was loyal to Maul when he was leader of Mandalorians.
I can't wait for a figure version of mof Gideon in his new Besar armor. And this episode was amazing love the connection all the way from the clone wars to the sequel!! It just sad that it took the second to last episode of the season for it to finally get started.

Just when we thought we couldn’t love Grogu anymore than we already do …. Now he’s got his own droid! Yes, yes, yes, No, no, no! 😂 The kid is growing up fast!
As soon as the mauldalorians started falling back I was like “it’s a trap!!” Also I can see a situation where Gideon forces Din to show him where the forge is, and Grogu shows up just in time to get the mithosaur to wreck Gideon and his forces. Or maybe Ahsoka and Sabine show up to help. But can also see this being an Empire Strikes Back downer ending.
After the slightly lacklustre episode 6 this episode ramped the dial right up to 10! Paz Visla went out like an absolute boss, took all 3 of those Praetorians to take him down. Really hope the majority of the Mandalorian fleet escapes in the final episode and we get Boba Fett and the Mythosaur coming to the rescue. This is the way.
Incredible, incredible analysis video Charlie! You've an incredible knowledge of everything you analyse! I haven't watched clone wars or rebels or any of the animated series so this helps out so much to see the bigger picture and so, really improves my watching experience! Thanks so much for that ❤️
It’s going to be interesting to see the tension between the factions of mandalorians now that din or Paz isn’t there to represent the children of the watch
Cain is one spy but the title is “spies” being more than one. I think the armorer is the other spy. She survived on Nivaro and she just so happened to volunteer to be in the scout party, but leaves just before the trap? Plus Gideons helmet looks like hers. I think he cut the Armorer a similar deal to that of Bo Katan. Idk the Armorer just always seems suspicious

I’m really looking forward to see Grogu returning with the Mythosour to rescue Din from Gideon!
I hope that happens
That is the way
Will Grogu save him in time or will the show switch to a different Mandalorian it follows like Bo if she survives of course.
It’s really funny part of the episode when grogu keeps saying yes many times and no when he stops two mandalorian from fighting each other

That was hilarious. Like a kid running around saying "dad can't stop me!"
Bad baby , no squeezie Walk far away from Grogu just in case .... 😂😂😂😂😂

I think it wasn’t much of a surprise, logical thing to do since Mandalore has resources like beskar
When I saw the white armour, I assumed they were elite storm troopers outfitted with beskar instead of plastoid. Also, I had a flashback to that scene from TRoS, "They fly now!?!?"
And it was a bit of a payoff b/c the fighters/bombers that attacked Bo Katan's palace were explicitly short range from in the Mandalore system.
@@tiacho2893 white? Breaking Bad reference?
@@KupiecKorzenny_EmhyrVarEmreis No Breaking Bad reference.
When I see white armour, I just automatically think storm trooper. On second watch, I noticed that their helmets are Mandaloian and their armour was made of plates on fabric. In the Clone Wars series, the Mandalian armour was mostly shown personalised and battle worn. Bright and shiny new feels like Imperial standard issue. Mandalian traitors working for Gideon never occurred to me.
Now is when having watched Rebels comes in handy
I believe there's a connection between Moff Gideon and the armorer. The helmets are one example but more importantly she was quick to leave the planet...like she was expecting the set-up.
“Spies”
Have a sinking feeling she going to betray them or think she is doing it for the greater good!! Let us see. This is the way!!

Lol no. Don't think too much into it
Why would she want Bo katan to unite the Mandos. That goes against everything Gideon was tryna do

Any one else think that Bo could have used the dark saber in the glass to at least save Din? It was probably easier to cut through than the metal door, but for like 1 or 2 minutes everyone just watched. Yet again he's a damsel in distress lololol
As for "the spies", I too think the boat survivors are plausible candidates.
That was insane, they’re really gearing up full swing for that Thrawn film
I was under the impression that Moff Gideon cloned himself for the dark trooper suits. They were in the cloning pods when he walked through in the beginning and he said “the best part is they have me in it”. Anyone else?
Baby Yoda - dropped out Padawan - mech pilot. Grogu character growth is something else 😅
Grogu a foundling is now mech pilot, we love to see it!
I think that piece of fruit Grogu picked up over his head & squeezed was a callback to an episode of Rebels where Ezra & Zeb were on a wild goose chase for one.
Loved the visual similarities between the new troopers, and mandalorian supercommandoes we saw in rebels. Not identical, but definitely similar.
I wanna see a epic grogu rescuing mando scene next week
Metasor?

Ashoka or the Ghost Ship with Hera showing up in the finale would also provide a good tie in to the Ashoka show and provide those characters context for the larger implications of the Thrawn arrival. The new republic with Zeb could also provide that thread. It feels like one of those would help to move Ashoka's story beyond just searching for Ezra and stumbling upon a bigger plot. They all have ties to Bo-Katan too
I am also hoping that the New Republic will back Ahsoka up
Calling it now Thrawn is executing Gideon in the finale
Seeing Gilad Pellaeon was such a huge moment for me. He was such a good character in legends canon
Something interesting finally happened on this show!!!
Edit: Bokatan says to Mando "no side can step in" when she's talking about the fight on the ship, but Grogu does. What you're saying about grogu being the person who unites everyone is definitely alluded to during that scene.
Which leaves me to believe at some point down the line hell Wield the dark Saber and lead the mandolorians

Paz Viszla went out like a true Mandalorian, it was both inspiring and heartbreaking. I hope they don't kill Din and that someone takes Gideon's head for his atrocities.
This show is din no way he dies
I watched this episode at 4am and for the first time couldn’t immediately watch your recap after. Made me realize how much I enjoy these, thanks man.
Visla dying was sad but he let everyone escape this is the way

First off - that landing on Mandalore by the Mandalorians was one of the best scenes EVER! That got me right in feels knowing it was two warring factions coming together to re-take their home planet! Just awesome!!!
Something you ovelooked - After the holo-chat, Moff Gideon walks down a 'hallway' with red force field-like sliding doors that open in turn as he is walking toward each one. This reminded me of the old 60's TV show Get Smart, but without the humour of them closing...
I love how this season really focuses on the Mandalorians
Paz went out like a true hero!!😢
Smokin! *The Mask voice*
…and right before their tour leads them their, she was like;
“Hey, I’m going to take our ride out of here to get some bandaids and Tylenol.”
@@eds1942yes 100%. I felt she was flying back with the hurt Mandalorian to the fleet to tell them to serenader.
Episode was called spies for a reason.
Plural.
She was probably the one who tought Moff Gideaon how to make his armor.
God i hope they made the finale an hour long minimum. Else its gonna be so rushed or too cliffhanging
I believe its closer to 50min like this episode. Longer than usual though.
@@emergencyawesome seriously how do you know stuff like that? are you just guessing or what
Best episode of Season 3!!!
*This is the Way.*
But, also, all of these Mandalorians are badass.
My thoughts exactly, also her helmet looks very similar to Gideon's.
Man that new Gideon suit is badass even more then Vaders suit!
Maudalorian Suit you mean, lol

Moff also lied in the meeting, saying he wasn't interested in the cloaning stuff when he clearly is. Man, this was a great episode with so many EE. It's like when you're a kid and you get a BIG piece of cake even though it's not your bday.
I think this episode was my favorite of the series by far:
- fantastic development for Grogu's character - the head nod with Din are you kidding me?!
- Din and Bo-Katan's relationship progressing and show Din's loyalty and admiration for Bo and belief in her being able to unite the Mandalorian's
- reveal showing Moff Gideon being free on Mandalore
- the shadow council + another name drop of Thrawn
- more involvement of new Mandalorian groups we are introduced to on Mandalore
- the fight scene was fantastic
- Moff Gideon's Mandalorian armor was un-fucking-real good
- heart breaking ending and a cliff hanger for the finale - Paz's death to the Praetorian Guards was brutal, Din being captured in front of Grogu was brutal
finale has a chance to be absolutely bananas: Grogu could rescue Din, big space battle in orbit of Mandalore, Bo vs Moff Gideon, potential Thrawn mega-teasers... I am lit for this.
Sadly it is rumored they are focusing more on Bo-Katan because they are removing Din from the show.

This whole episode was a heavy hitter. So many great scenes, so much lore, absolutely loved it!
What's crazy is that what Moff Gideon is trying to create is what Grogu is growing up to be!

Calling it now: the armourer is a double agent working with moff gideon the entire time… the episode is called “the spies” (plural). She also voluntarily went back to the cruiser just before the encounter with the gideon troops.
Lol I guess I should've rwd comments before I put mine. Touche my star wars friend, she mis def is a double.
Well has been in the wild that Grogu will wear IG-11 so
And now he can use the Dark Sabre - cause IG-12 can hold it for him!
AWESOME EPISODE!!! Awesome season so far. Can't wait to rewatch. So many scenes from this season are etched in my brain because of how awesome they are. Kudos to the actors and to Favreau. Dang!!!
Damn this episode was so good and tease him so much we might see him for the finale and I love the empire talking about coming tg being fractured
Best episode of the season, that ending was powerful. And we have a great villain to contend with, Esposito never looked so badass
Have some questions:
2 breaking bad actors now in the show
That was Skinny Pete? No wonder he seemed oddly familiar
Dude I thought I was hallucinating, I guess someone else really did see him! I love that dude it's awesome that he's in this
I sure hope the armourer is not with Gideon ,her character is needed to keep the tribes together. Maybe she is a double agent ,and eventually turn on moff G. Also she has a strong link to Din so maybe we find that out next episode.
That would suck if she was a spy
That would be the same level of absurd as Hux in TROS
I mean, she is helping all Mandalorians for dozens of years. She's getting them Beskar, Armor, Weapons and all. She's taking care of all of them. She's the one who's talking about reuniting since the season 1. So that would absolutely suck if she betrayed them
Also Maul was anti palpatine so even she served Maul, that doesn't make sense if she's gonna serve the Empire
Good point that makes perfect sense
Truly cannot believe that she could possibly be a spy
Highly unlikely
Yooooooooooo
This episode ended so hard, makes me hope that they don't kill Mando since he's been captured.
As much as the retaking Mandalore plot is interesting, if they kill Din I wont be watching anymore 🤷♂️
He’s not getting killed anytime soon
He's the main character they can't kill him
@@HairyJuan You could tell that in season 3 they no longer focus on Mando. If the rumor is true that Pedro is leaving the show, then yes they can kill him and move on with other characters, like Bo-Katan. In another universe, it would’ve been awesome to see the Knights of Ren vs The Praetorian Guards.
I'm going to miss Paz, but the Praetorian guards looked sick. The armour of the trooperdalorians looks like Gar Saxon's
I was screaming right away that the imps weren’t retreating it was an obvious trap. A seasoned war vet like Bo should’ve recognized that.
You’re so right. I still enjoyed it though but I thought the way they stood their watching was silly too. Like try the electrics or something??

I am so grateful for any and all Star Wars we get. We truly are in a golden era for Star Wars.. I grew up during a time when we didn't get any new Star Wars for 15+ years.. I will never take it for granted getting new Star Wars. This was an amazing episode. So much Mandalorians in action! Thanks for the breakdown Charlie! This is the way!
@AstaYaeger007 piss off
Great Breakdown.
Cane was just one spy but the episode is called “The Spies” implying more spys.
I don't think it would happen but I think it would be cool if they reach out to boba Fett to help in the final battle/saving Mando
Hope so, he's a Mandalorian in the end and it would be awesome to see him come to the rescue of his friends and his planet too
Maybe in the future, but right now I think it's more likely to see a twist with Grogu and either the darksaber or the mythosaur
Boba would get one shove to the ground from a Stormy and have to be rushed of to his bacta tank for a 24 hour recovery session thus ending up being no use at all xd
@@highmonkeyy He's not actually a Mandalorian, but just wore their armour
"Every culture has something to offer" is a great line from Gideon because Thrawn has the same ideology. The difference is though that Thrawn uses other cultures to LEARN how to control/defeat them psychologically instead of just taking and using it physically like Gideon
Yea, my eyes were watery during the meal on the ship and afterwards when Din was speaking to Bo
he pledged his life to protect that smile
I really enjoyed this episode! Can't wait for the finale😄👌🏼
Paz shouldn’t have been killed off. din being taken was enough. Paz shoulda been the ones to help save him.
That's why she manipulated the hiarchy to position Bo-Katan in to the leader to bring all the Mandolorians in to one place
Great episode! Why did Grogu not use that force to help Din? And why did Bo wait to escape to use the Darksaber???
I'm thinking he probably didn't want to be seen. He was in IG-12 hiding behind the other Mandalorian. Had Moff seen him he probably would have taken him. Just my guess. Not sure why Bo waited to use the Darksaber.
Is grogu strong enough to break those doors with the force? Idk if he’s at that level yet?

Great Epsiode. Rip Paz Visla . Loved his character. The super commandos. Looked like the original drawings for Boba Fett and Stormtrooper.
