I agree. My only issue with it is that to me it felt out of place in this area. I feel like it would have made more sense to have this song show up in a different part of the game, like at the gold saucer during one of the games.

When climbing this part of the game I thought of the epic music when climbing from destroyed sector 7 to the Shinra HQ (both events end with the valkyre song, best song in the games), as BOTH themes hit harder than they should. Thanks for posting!
I put down my controller when this track came on its so ridiculously amazing it really fits the mountain climb adventure feel! I think im kind of far into the game and its so magical im in awe everytime i boot it up!

It is different, like an actual intro and outra where this is a continuous loop, which in my opinion is better and it’s 10+ min with the cd version is just over 4 minutes… As for some songs the OST left out, there is the musclehead colosseum challenge select song… the song that plays during the chocobo hunts while looking the transmuter chips… but there are others… the game has over 400 songs while even the collectors edition OST has over 175 songs sssooo still like 200 some missing
Reminds me of a combination of Journey to Silius Stage 2 from the NES, with a dash of Zenoblade music and also the Neverending Story(that a few people mentioned already). Outstanding track!

wondered if they missed placing the Golden Saucer track with this. But this is the best background track in the game. Doesn't fit the Corel region, but the level was boring so a much needed soundtrack. More like s snowboarding, mirror edge, futuristic trance style sound.
They should've just done the whole soundtrack like this. The OG soundtrack is great in synth, but the modern renditions just don't go well with the motion of the game as much as I love them.

At 1:13 if you listen to the melody, it's a variation of the ff7 main theme. Genius composition to include those 5 notes.
