I'm old and cataloging my collection because it's time for me to sell but every time I watch one of Daniel's videos like this, it makes me think... damn I would really love to have some more of those.
Beautiful coins! While I understand the need for stock photos when selling, I really enjoy photographing my circulated Walkers with a digital camera & macro lens. Each one tells it's life story and has become a true work of art. I almost like it as much as collecting the coins to begin with.
Thanks Daniel for the information! I have a few beautiful coins that I've posted about and I'm planning to get into the educational side of things soon. Thank you for the 1800 videos. ❤
Daniel, I like the standing liberty quarter more than the walking liberty half dollars. Perhaps this is because the images are on opposite coins. Perhaps because the standing liberty quarter has more imagery. Both are iconic in their own right. However, the walker is my third favorite after the standing liberty quarter. Franklin half dollars are my first. Fascinated with Ben Franklin. Nice presentation.
I don't know how many time I've said or hear people say, 'I wish I would have known then what I know now'. I remember $20 St. Gaudens gold selling for $47 each in 1976. And then there were several other denomination's key dates which could have been bought for a pittance. On the other hand, most rare coins today were just as rare then. Two exceptions were the 1903-O and 1904-O Morgans. Back when, it was feared that those two dates were melted back in 1918. But if I remember, a bank ordered a bag or two of silver dollars and got a lot of 1903-Os, bringing the price down quite a bit since they were now somewhat available. Sometimes you can have a hunch and can find a bargain. I bought my 1878, 1882, 1883 and 1884 CCs for less than $200 for the lot, several years after the GSA sales were held. I started working part time for the phone company in March 1973 and didn't make enough money to buy the 1880, 1881, 1885 CC Morgans at $60 each. What I really missed out on was the 1879-CC from the GSA auction at $300, which was about two month's of my wages at the time of that sale.
I can tell you to trust him. I made a mistake on my address when ordering pound sacks of wheaties I told the gentleman that I would pay the shipping to have them sent back. He said no it is a part of doing business.

Some people always look for the bad in people maybe it makes them feel better about themselves but no one can ever say that you are not as honest as the day is long .
I love those WL halves. It seems to me that several dealers have a bunch of those GSA dollars on inventory, and they are really quite common, yet they still go for a good price. Go figure?
I usually target buy every coin I get so I’m not a fan of stock photos. I know exactly what I’m looking for and I go for the finest uncirculated coins I can find.
Pretty nice lot. Back in the `70s those CC dollars were a little over-priced at the time but ya, of course they are worth a lot more now. Hind sight is always 20/20 and many knew even back then those would go up in value over time. Sure enough, they are worth a whole lot more than what they were back then. Fastforward another 50 years and those will probably be worth thousands instead of the hundreds they are today. On the SLQs I`d be looking for the `21 and 23`S ..`27 D-S right off the bat. Then checking for other lower mintage dates and overdates. Sweet!
Thanks so much for your video on Walking Liberty Half Dollars. I enjoy your videos a lot. Also, I just placed my first order with you through the online portal. Your portal was easy to use.
Hello Daniel love your channel,I have a collection of cions that I haven't looked at for along time.watching your videos made me to look at them again,I have an 1908 Edward vll Brit half dollar coin all black but I noticed under the black stuff what looks to be a gold colouring but not to sure about it.i was wondering if this coin holds any value, your advice would be much appreciated
How long do you think it’ll be before you have these posted on your site? Most of us won’t have to get outta bed to pick up a few of those Walkers. 😊 Those are nice coins for sure.
Stock photos are OK if obviously identified. I would just add a transparent layer on the photo. Cleaned is tough as sometimes it seems to be opinion rather than an obvious condition. As always great job.
I understand the mark-up. It seems pretty reasonable to me. We are all collectors here but you are in business. No profit, no business. I sell some of my coins at a profit to fund my ability to continue collecting.
You mean the 90% Walking Half prices on my website, with no sales tax, or credit card fess, flat rate shipping, that is being sold for less than SD Bullions credit card price and hand picked by me and my staff? If you send a check or come in and pay cash I even give 3% off. So please tell me you're not talking about my prices here. I pay melt and I paid more than melt for these. Why would I pay you more when I can buy thousands in 90% face from dealers, at melt?
This type of thing is why I only buy coins and bullion that I know I’m keeping in my personal collection. I tried a couple times at 23 southbound to put some stuff on a table and priced them exactly like the rest of the market ( not inflated flea market stuff or junk). After a couple times my people skills dwindled very quickly after I heard enough of “I can get Morgan’s for this” or “I can get it under melt”. That was enough for me 😂 I’ll stick to selling all the other stuff for profit so I can buy what I like with it lol. And I happen to know you and your staff are top notch. Only bought off ya a couple times so far--but every single time has been top notch customer service and fair pricing. Don’t let comments like this fire ya up, when the majority of us know you’re good. Speaking of purchases. That 2 cent and 3 cent I got off ya at the WV show is getting submitted to PCGS next week for grading and can’t wait to see what they come back as.
@CoinHELPu no, I get it. It's a business, and information is important. I just don't see the upside for us as a business. No easy answers, but I guess I have to be your chair to do that.

You got a lot of nice coins there. 👍
nice bunch of walkers and morgans. some of my favorite coins, thanks for the video.
I ❤ those CC Morgans! I have several of them graded by PCGS, highest MS66. Bag marks and busted cheeks are common, but sometimes you find a gem...😊
Very nice! All the favorites!

Those are some beautiful coins you purchased Daniel! Looks like you could make a near complete set of philly walkers from those rolls!

Those are some beautiful Walking Liberty half-dollar coins. You don't often see the walkers in such great shape out in the wild.
Love the Walkers all day long.
Nice Score Daniel!!

Hello Daniel
Man I love some Walkers now. Those are some excellent rolls you picked up.
It's like a coin roll hunter's dream. I coupd probably spend a week picking through those. There's gotta be a minor doubled die or two in there.
Very cool! Eye candy ovah heeeeya!
Very nice Walkers!
GSAs galore. 🤩
It's nice to find decent coins in rolls like that. I guess it goes to show that there are still finds out there to be had. Thanks, Daniel!
I like to buy coins too.
BEAUTIFUL WALKING LIBERTIES

All coins we have are listed on our website, thanks
You don’t get to buy coins like that very often.
I would like to purchase some of those Walkers. How do I order a few? Thanks
Want to buy them when can make $$$ they come to you rather than you having to go and compete for them
YOU SCORED on this purchase ... This is what you guys live for
"You guys?" lol
Dang you were really blessed with that lot.
If USA quits making pennies what will it do about penny collections like wheat pennies. I guess the error pennies would still sell.
They don't make wheat cents anymore so it's not going to have an effect on them. Maybe go up in value.
@CoinHELPu Thank you. I have about 300. A guy want to look at some next week.

They’ve been up on the website as EF45 to AU55, unless they sold out.
@@CoinHELPu I ordered 20 of the XF/AU yesterday, looks like you have sold out already (Sunday)?
Imagine if you bought a SHITLOAD of gold in the early 70's!!!😮😮😮
If I visit your shop will you buy my UK Gold sovereigns, Gold half sovereigns and Gold Britannias. About $40,000 worth in total.
You send me an email with what you want to sell. portsmouthcoinshop@gmail.com.
How many coins did you get? How much $$
I did a count in the video
Nice Walkers. I'd be interested in some!
The way prices have jumped up now I’ll bet you DO have a lot of coins you think about that you let go of right before the price jumps.
Are they just nice looking bullion coins ?
What???? Bullion Coins???? Oh I don’t think so. Wow. That made the hair on the back of my neck stand up.

except for the GSA dollars, no real collector coins.
I picked out 2 rolls of high Au to UNC Walkers that would be great to a type set or to fill a short set hole.
