- Halo 3: ODST is probably one of the most underrated games in the entire series, and although a lot of its I Would Have Been Your Daddy (IWHBYD) lines are from Halo 3, Bungie did add a some funny new quotes when they made the game.
A lot (and I mean A LOT) of lines in Halo 3 ODST were actually recycled from Halo 3 because the voice actors for most of Alpha Nine were actually present in that game. However, by the time I made this video, I had not yet done a video in Halo 3, so it all worked out in the end, really. Anyways, like my past Funny Dialogue videos for Halo, this one took me a considerable amount of effort to finish up, due in no small part to my insistence on making those bits of tracking text, so I hope you guys enjoy the video.

I remember when I was playing Warzone Firefight a while ago, when I died, I heard a grunt say “I think I got one!”, then another one asked “How can you THINK you got one!? They’re 7-foot-tall cyborgs!” Then the other one said “But they all look the same!” I know they isn’t ODST but I just remembered

@@JotenZ312 These are re-used Marine lines from Halo 3. All of the troopers except Dare and Rookie (obviously) have the same voice actors as many of the Marines in Halo 3.

At 3:58 to 4:04, I like how Buck looks away for a second after he says "It's weird." as if generally freaked out from being stared at, then he looks back and simply says "Creepy." Probably not intended, but it added a lot to the voice lines.

Definitely intended. They always face the player when they speak. That pause was part of that programming.

I don't think it is, technically. That's a generic marine line in Halo 3, so the RvB line is a reference to that, but as you can tell from this video a lot of Mickey's lines are Halo 3 marine lines, so it was more likely a nod to Halo 3 than RvB

If memory serves Me, I remember reading that there was a line on Halo 3 that becomes possible with IWHBYD on and Legendary difficulty where a Brute tuanted The Chief with a yelling insult that made use of "fucking"

Not likely. I mean, ONI covered up the flood invasion of Voi by making the shipmaster's glassing of Africa look like a covenant attack.
And since this game takes place during Halo 2, Mickey & Dutch are not ONI. So there shouldn't be a possibility for them to know about the flood. Unless their whole team was informed about it prior to the events of Regret's invasion.

Like I knew most of the Voice Actors worked on the TV Show Firefly but I never thought that there would be so many references!

If I'm not mistaken, voice actors for Dutch and Mikey are the same voice actors for marines in Halo 3, not to mention that they used the same voice lines.

He didn't betray them until after rookie died. I also wouldn't really call Mickey a traitor in the long run. His morals just didn't link up with the rest of the cast.

OMG!!!!!!! No one has noticed that the last line Dutch says is almost a verbatim line from Full Metal Jacket in which he said the same line. Adam Baldwin voiced Dutch and he was in that movie too!

Buck, Dutch, and Mickey are voiced by Nathan Fillion, Adam Baldwin, and Allen Tudyk, who all stared in the tv show Firefly, and many of their lines from this video are references too the characters they each played in the show. Dutches line at 5:13 is taken directly from the show as well.

For anyone who doesn't know Dutch is voiced by Adam Baldwin, the line references his tv interview scene from that movie.
I love how parts of the character of animal mother from full metal jacket were used in some of dutch’s personality, shows bungie got creative as Adam baldwin played both roles.

The Closest thing to a Halo Marines game we get. Seriously they need to make one where you're not some genetically altered super soldier. Your just in the trenches with your brothers and sisters fighting the covenant. Reach rules you can create your own character, armor, load out, (possibly appearance), and when you rank up you rank is what the call you: Private, Corporal, Sergeant, etc.
So basically a Halo MMO

I love all the Firefly and Serenity lines. I mainly played this game for Adam Baldwin, Alan Tudyk, and Nathan Fillion. Ended up loving everything about it, and then everything Halo.
