Louis is a PHENOMANAL character. he's mean mostly becausse of his life experiences (and his dad being an asshole) and its clear that more than fear carnivores he ENVIES them. But deep down he does have a heart and an iron will to stand by those he deems his equals, no matter the cost to him.

During their anniversary I think or Tokis birthday, I forget which one, She kissed him after she disposed of the anti venom sprays and she died in his arms. Their baby (Leano) was perfectly healthy and a beautiful girl as well, but once she grew up in her young adult years scales started to form onto her body. So she can do something good in her life before she turns into a monster, she has a one night stand with a famous pure bred gray wolf, and gets pregnant with Legoshi, hoping to at least give birth to a almost full bred gray wolf.. Once when Legoshi is born, it was only awhile until her whole back was covered in scales. During most of Legoshis toddler kid years, his mother began to hide away in her room from everyone. She was distraught from her scales growing on her face and affecting her apperance, since when she was younger she was showered in love and spotlight for her beautiful looks. One night, she slips out of her room and while Legoshi (a kid) was supposably asleep, she gets behind him and sleeps with her son before she kills herself later that night. It's mentioned in the manga that Legoshi was awake the entire time, but he knew if he turned around he knew his mother would be mortified if her son saw her in her half komodo-dragon state,as there was patches of scales and missing fur all over her. He mentions in the manga he regrets it. Also, him being part komodo dragon from his grandpa is the main reason why hes bigger than the average grey wolf. In season one i think in the anime, when he was 17, it mentions his growth spurts that he started to get. Leano, Legoshis mother, began to saw scales grow on her body around 18.
I mean from the clips you shown of the dubbed version, I think there are some stuff mixed in translation. One of them, by the end, is Haru's mixed signals. She is not playing hard to get. The issue is that her very nature is against her liking Legoshi. Her fight or flight instincts trigger so quickly, like any rabbit would do when predators are nearby. Also its clearly taboo, the relationship between a prey and a predator Haru just legit thinks that everyone would have an easier time if Legoshi went with Juno and she just stayed alone like she always has been
Yep, in the sub the things they say are very directly tied to the fact that they're animals, the dub sorta removes that from many lines, not realizing that it's not an issue of their personalities, and more of their natural insticts dictating how they feel and react

I'm so glad you like Louis, he's absolutely best terrible boy. If you're okay with darker stuff, you should definitely watch Monster at some point if you haven't already! It will likely mess you up a bit, but it's genuinely one of the best anime ever.

Studio Orange is the premier name in 3D anime. They aren't using it to save money. They go 2D when a character doesn't appear enough to warrant a full 3D model. Anytime I see something is in 3D I check if it has Studio Orange involved. If yes, it's not a problem.
I don't know shit about the anime production process, mind, but I feel like going 3D is more convenient in the long run - yeah, making several models is hard in its own way, but at least in Beastars it looks like it pays off by allowing the animation to be more fluid and have better lipsync, since the animation crew doesn't have to worry as much about drawing frames upon frames while also keeping stuff like proportions and perspective in mind. Amirite?

Once they have the model they can let the computer do a lot of the heavy lifting around the details that they would otherwise have to draw by hand for every shot, especially for geometrically complex or rotating objects, but the work of actually creating that 3D model in the first place is much more involved than the equivalent for a 2D character, which is basically just a couple frames of the character from different views. The modeling and rigging in 3D eats up a lot of resources and time in the production pipeline, which is why it turns out so poorly when other productions try to use it to cut corners because they rushed through the setup. That model can also be somewhat limiting when you have a particular shot composition you want to create, causing them to have to go back and essentially break their own 3D model to make it work, where the 2D artist just draws whatever they wanted and moves on. There's some really good behind the scenes from early RWBY that comes to mind showing how they had to do this at times where models had certain limbs blown up to several times normal size to achieve the shot they wanted. How to Train Your Dragon also has this where they move in close to a giant dragon and are flying among the spines on its back, for that shot the giant dragon is roughly 5x the size it is in every other shot. This cuts both ways though as it helps continuity as 2D shows like the EVAs Evangelion have been shown to vary in size by as much as 10x from shot to shot. 3D basically solves that for you unless you intentionally change the scaling.
The animation studio, Orange, has really improved on this CGI style; Trigun: Stampede is so smooth and it looks amazing! If you haven't seen Trigun: Stampede, I'd recommend it (and the original too of course!).

As a theater kid, it's more customary to start walking the understudy through the fight script, or what the original duo decided on. Gives you a good excuse to hit them, though. A recommendation for anime from me is Obey Me! The fandom is getting a movie after two seasons of random scenarios. You might want to play the game first, and then get into some of the events. And I want to say that the intro to Beastars was covered by Jonah Scott himself with the help of We.B.

It sneaks up on you. I thought it looked kinda dumb before I watched it, and maybe it is kinda dumb, but you watch it and somewhere along the way you get more invested in the romantic life of a wolf and rabbit than is probably healthy.
I was relentlessly bullied by a pack of boys in 4th grade, one later becoming my friend when both our military parents got moved to a different military base nearby the following year. That boy was token "I'll help them bully so they won't bully me" situation, and he did fully apologize to me. That pack of bullies beat me up at the bus stop before and after school, at recess, and at lunch. And yea, one time they took my heated up lunch, threw it to the ground, and the teachers assumed I threw my own lunch, so they made me clean up my own ruined lunch. The school had me and the leader bully sit down and talk to become friends, where later that same day at recess he threw wet sand at me. Bullies who mess with your food is low, but constant bullying is mentally draining. Im glad it was only one year, for me. After that, my mom got more threatening with the schools when they continued to ignore physical bullying. We are called military brats for a reason.
I won't say which predictions you got right, but you got alot right!! I would love the manga to be fully developed despite the controversial ending since overall Beastars was a solid series. If we don't get the full anime adaptation I highly recommend the manga.

So, as a theatre major, I can confirm that the industry is SUPER careful when it comes to fight choreo. In some instances, you need a specific certification to do fight choreo. And, in rehearsal, you would usually start doing the movements of the choreo really slowly, and gradually speed up as you get more and more comfortable with it (which takes a TON of rehearsal time).
I loved experiencing this again, you’re a brand new TH-camr I’ve just waltz upon and seeing your reactions being the same as mine when I first watched it made me laugh each time. I loved this show and eventually finished the “Manga” it came with.

This is my first interaction with Beastars and I am baffled… but in a strangely good way?
It sneaks up on you. I thought it looked kinda dumb before I watched it, and maybe it is kinda dumb, but you watch it and somewhere along the way you get more invested in the romantic life of a wolf and rabbit than is probably healthy.

I was relentlessly bullied by a pack of boys in 4th grade, one later becoming my friend when both our military parents got moved to a different military base nearby the following year. That boy was token "I'll help them bully so they won't bully me" situation, and he did fully apologize to me. That pack of bullies beat me up at the bus stop before and after school, at recess, and at lunch. And yea, one time they took my heated up lunch, threw it to the ground, and the teachers assumed I threw my own lunch, so they made me clean up my own ruined lunch. The school had me and the leader bully sit down and talk to become friends, where later that same day at recess he threw wet sand at me. Bullies who mess with your food is low, but constant bullying is mentally draining. Im glad it was only one year, for me. After that, my mom got more threatening with the schools when they continued to ignore physical bullying. We are called military brats for a reason.

When you read the manga after season two the Kennedy family line makes so much sense and explains so much about Legoshi being stronger than normal wolfs and the whole loving Louis thing

So, as a theatre major, I can confirm that the industry is SUPER careful when it comes to fight choreo. In some instances, you need a specific certification to do fight choreo. And, in rehearsal, you would usually start doing the movements of the choreo really slowly, and gradually speed up as you get more and more comfortable with it (which takes a TON of rehearsal time).
