We do the same system of daily chart and wheel chart. Our meal jobs change daily: Set table, clear table, wash pots and pans, and sweep floor. Our zone jobs change monthly: Bathroom, Living Room, Den/Pets, and Kitchen Helper. We used to switch the zone jobs weekly, but we figured out that one kid wasn’t doing their Saturday jobs for their zone and then the next week somebody else would have to take care of what wasn’t cleaned. Now that we switch monthly they can’t leave tasks for another person to do because still it’s their zone for the rest of the month.
This is a great system!! I am working on “revamping” our chore chart right now and trying to figure out what works, so this came at the perfect time for me! I, too, am trying to get my older kiddos (12 &10) to be doing their own laundry weekly (my 12 year old does but my 10 year old is just learning). I have 4 kids and it’s a lot of laundry 😅
so how do you get your kids to start homeschool at a decent time? My kids are early risers but getting them to do school work is 😬 I'm currently trying to start with gather after breakfast for come follow me then go into school work but I don't know.
How would you go about outside play if you lived in a development (cul de sac) where traffic likes to come through to turn their car around or whatever. That's my issue, and I get nervous leaving kids out there and I'm not.
I honestly need more chore system. I ask them to do things as needed. I honestly only get them to fix their beds, clean rooms, play room, and straighten the livingroom.

That’s completely fine. Let them be kids. There’s always time for them to clean the rest of their lives.
