Heard this with my high school sweetheart for the first time in the mid eighties when I was a freshman, him a junior. Sitting in his 1969 Chevrolet chevelle on a Friday night, listening to 106.5, the oldie goldie channel at that time here in NC. That's what our weekends consisted of as a young couple. He has now since passed, and I miss him SO very much! Thank God for the good old days and good music. He was truly an old soul, and I am very blessed to have been a part of his life.

I dated a fellow in the late 50s. He and his best friend sounded exactly like the Everly Bros
The both played guitar too and had that twang to them the way the Bros. did!! All I have to Do is Dream" was our song! After 60 years it still brings a tear to my eye. He passed away in a fire when he was young. His friend ended up moving up the street from me and his son is friends with my sons. Small world!

As the song started to play, she came rushing over to me and ask me to dance with her. As the sun was setting this song came on the radio. My grandfather passed away 2 years ago. This song always brings back the memory of that day, 18 years ago.

I think I heard this song when I possibly around 3 or 4. I always have had the tune in the back of my mind, it's the kind of memory that you don't really know is there, but it always has been.
I remember hearing this song again when I was around 20, and I knew at that time that I knew the song, even though I could've sworn that I never had heard it before. It was like a distant memory suddenly flooding back, reminding me of other times in my youth that I had totally forgot about.
That time I heard it again when I was 20, was 13 years ago. And being a toddler, maybe 3 or 4, was almost 30 years ago.
How time flies, how time flies.....

The Everly Brothers inspired me to get into music. They are truly amazing. I'm a teen now and I have always loved the old music since I was a small child and up. When I was 4 I got into the Everly brothers. I couldn't thank my Grandad enough for all the old music he has showed me. Personally I prefer older music because back then there was no outo tune or anything like that so you know it's the real deal and real talent coming from these angels. I will never stop listening to these.
Thank you for taking the time to read this and have a wonderful day/night and I wish you the best of luck. Goodbye for now 💕😄

Oh, and you might have just lost many family members in ww2, but that's fine. Oh, and the country is involved in the Korean war, but that's fine. The music is all that matters. That's stupid talk! Stupid to think that. If both or either one is in heaven they would not be singing there earthly songs. They'd be worshipping the almighty creator of heaven and earth, etc... and say something more stupid like "either one is looking down on anyone here" (Only the Lord can do that!)

This song still sounds amazing 63 years later after it's release. People still love it !! 1958 .. What an explosive year for the Birth of Rock & Roll and IT's amazing that Everly Brothers were right there with their fantastic contributions to the Era !! They had a feel like no other artist. This song still sounds great at my live gigs. (pre Covid) .. and it works well on the Cruise Ship gigs as well. My Students love to learn and play this song. If you need it transposed into a different key to make it easier to sing, i can help you with that as well. Gotta Love the Classics. ;-)
