Stryker, glad to see your cards didn't have major surface issues. I've opened two and I'd say more than half the Chrome cards I pulled out of blasters have either surface issues like spots or glue it appears plus print lines on other ones. Major bummer and it's not just me apparently because Rydog54 has a video out with a similar experience. Thank you for your awesome video value breakdowns as usual. You're the GOAT of breakers!
Great video man. Opened 5 blasters got two autos and 7 parallels, one chrome first auto, one green chrome first auto. Reliably every other blaster no parallel, the next had a single pack with multiple hits each. Blasters the way to go in my book.

I opened 3 24 pack Retail boxes and got 1 auto in all 3 boxes. Sticker auto paper 1st, chrome 1st auto and a redemption for a pitcher prospect auto. 2-3 parallels per retail box as well. 1 wander franco paper per box did not pull a chrome wander just 3 paper wanders.
For blaster format...If you map out the auto odds Individually to "percentage per pack", then add them together to get an overall percentage and comfort to per blaster box, it comes out to 1 per 6 blasters. Translate that to cost, and the cost becomes 1 auto per 210 dollars in blasters (assuming 35 per blaster). Stack that up against hobby formats, and the cost per auto is even better in blasters in addition to all of the parallels. The only thing your giving up in blasters is certain color parallels. Apart from that, blasters are best for everything.

I pulled a 1/1 super fractor today from a blaster Lenyn Sosa who is an absolute gangster, multiple speckle /299 from blasters and fat packs, Khalil Watson /499 from a blaster, no autos from blasters, 4 autos from fat packs. Lots of paper #erd, tons of wander (total wander collection of all sets is over 70 cards now), and two Chris mead /99. Wander 1/1 came from retail too. Fortunately I live in the country of Texas and this Walmart and target gets STOCKED. Every week I am able to load up with cards. Also, my sister is a employee of target (pharmacist), so I am fortunate enough to enjoy a total of 15% off. Blasters are also $24.99 at this target. Fat packs $9.99. This is pre discount. Bragging a little bit right now, sorry. Been so happy with this product. So many prospects this year.

Having opened a hobby box and a half dozen blasters, I was surprised just how few and far between the colored parallels were out of hobby. Guess I should have anticipated that blasters were the much better value in that regard. Oh, and you alluded to it in the video, but a line in your spreadsheet for $ per chrome card would be super useful - but I realize it’s tough to access and open all formats to get the true chrome count per pack.
Bowman hobby has more than doubled in price in the last three years. The value proposition is just not there anymore. Blasters and value packs are a better bang for the buck. I will definitely be sticking with retail this year.
Seems crazy! I've been out of collecting for over 8 years and got back in last year. I was absolutely shocked at the price of boxes and not just bowman. Panini Prizm acts like they're selling an ounce of gold inside! Ridiculous

Thanks for the numbers breakdown. Being a numbers guy love studying your spreadsheet. The 2 blasters I opened no parallels but a good number of firsts. I have heard some noise about Bowman collation issues with lots of duplicates in retail. No issues in mine and yours looked fine. 🤷🏻♂️

The sticker auto checklist is solid this year. Elijah Tatis only has sticker autos, and Eloy Jimenez's brother, Enoy, only has a sticker auto. No other card in the set
I went and bought 5 blasters vice a hobby box a few days ago. You get 30 packs vice the 24 in a hobby, but not sure of the number of cards difference. Also I heard that the fat packs at Walmart that have the security censor in them also have numbered cards. I bought 2 this morning and both had a numbered card in them.
I bought hobby jumbo boxes in 19, 20, and 21. Couldn't justify it this year. Target has blasters right now for $29.99. They were $24.99 last year. I've resisted the temptation.

Man, it seems like I pulled a Franco in every blaster. I’ve opened 12 with no autos. But tons of color. To be honest most of these autos are worthless. But there’s always that chance.
I love Bowman but the prices keep climbing so much not sure I'm going to buy much Bowman this year. Plus I can't seem to find hardly any 22 bowman in my area. So far all I've found is single packs so far.

Got lucky last Thur. when we went to our Wally World to do some grocery shopping, I went to check out where the cards are sold and found they had just stocked up on the Bowman 2022. I picked up 2 Value Packs and 1 Blaster just to check the product out and to see if I couldn't get lucky. The Value Packs are selling for $9.98 ea. and the blasters for $31.58 ea. not counting the tax. I got an on card auto out of each Value Pack of Seth Beer Chrome & Jack Suwinski Chrome 1st, I also pulled from the Blaster box a Gold Chrome Robert Hassell 04/50. I also landed the base cards of Vlad Jr., Acuna Jr., Tatis Jr., Ohtani, Lu Bob, Bo, Blaze and a Trout and Witt Jr. Chrome not bad if I do say so myself. All in all, I'd say I got my monies worth out of those 2 Value Packs and Blaster box. Now here's the kicker; I was at a trade day/mini card show at my LCS on Sat. it's about a 40 min. drive for me to get there and I brought some of my cards in hopes of making some trades and or sales. A dad and his son came by the table I was sitting at, and they saw my Seth Beer Bowman Chrome on card Auto., the son picked the card up and the dad said I have $150 for this card (who was I to argue and say no, right? I took the $150) Question, should I have gotten more, and was that a good or bad deal for me? I did ask and say, " You know I have to ask what is the importance of this card to y'all?" The son said "I know him and played ball with him in high school when they lived in Georgia before moving to Arkansas". Long story, short I almost made back 3X the money I spent on those 2 Value Packs and 1 Blaster Box, and we all walked away from the deal happy and that is after all what really counts right sports fans? I wish all your wives who are Mummies or about to be Mummies out there a very HAPPY MUMMIES DAY, y'all enjoy what's left of this day and weekend, be safe out there and y'all have a blessed week next week and I'm out sports fans.

Took it to the front and the woman at the self checkout said they no longer sold that item and rung it up for $5.99 for me!!! What’re my numbers for that price?? 🤣
Only thing that makes the hobby/jumbo "worth it" is the automatic autograph, but if you open enough blasters i've seen the odds are getting an auto aren't that bad, it's just not a guarantee so you could potentially open 10 blasters and not get a single auto, OR possibly get more than one, just a little riskier on that front
Would it be helpful to include odds in a box ? It’s all down to pack odds. But how many packs in a box ? Is there a way to add a column for odds per product ?

IMO, value packs are the way to go. 5 value packs got me with 4 #’d parallel and a 1st chrome auto. I’m not sure how but they seem to always be filled with goodies.
Will you do a similar video comparison for Topps Chrome? I've pre-ordered 1x Jumbo Box, 1x hobby boxes, 3x blasters, and then another case of blasters. I'm really high on this year's rookie class and curious to see what the best value is for the different formats. Thanks

I got 4 colors on 1 blaster. I had other blasters that had 1 or none. Overall I've done better with blasters and valuepacks close second. Thanks Stryker!

I opened a 24 pack retail box like this and got two base Wanders. A numbered green Marcus Semien /99 and a Wander ROYF insert. Not too shabby I guess! Thanks for the video Stryker!

I love this year's Bowman. So many 1st Bowman's that are not pitchers. Too many pitchers in last year. This may be the best 1st Bowman set since 2016

I've opened 1 blaster so far and pulled a Dustin Harris chrome auto and a Jose Salas speckle. Definitely buying more soon.

I think you need a price per parallel and price per auto row, that's where the difference is

IMO, value packs are the way to go. 5 value packs got me with 4 #’d parallel and a 1st chrome auto. I’m not sure how but they seem to always be filled with goodies.
Who can afford $400 or $800 boxes that’s crazy
We have a few guys around here where I live who can and spend a lot more than that on wax LOL. All I know is I can't afford it LOL.

I've pre-ordered 1x Jumbo Box, 1x hobby boxes, 3x blasters, and then another case of blasters. I'm really high on this year's rookie class and curious to see what the best value is for the different formats.

Pulled a Elly De La Cruz 1st Green Shimmer Auto 70/99 out of a blaster box last night.
These value breakdown are super helpful. Otherwise it’s a huge pain to watch a ton of videos and try to figure out best bang for the buck from screen grabs of small pack print.

The 2 blasters were brutal for me but i hear everyone say they got great stuff
The numbers show blasters being the best value based on odds but are the hits better value via hobby? Meaning qualitative vs quantitative. Thought?

I got 4 colors on 1 blaster. I had other blasters that had 1 or none. Overall I've done better with blasters and valuepacks close second. Thanks Stryker!
I've done slightly better with the Value Packs, but my blaster I bought didn't disappoint. Check out my comment I just put up and I think you'll like it and it does confirm stryker's video.

Same for me, only I got no Chrome 1st pitchers, they were all position players that I got.

I opened a 24 pack retail box like this and got two base Wanders. A numbered green Marcus Semien /99 and a Wander ROYF insert. Not too shabby I guess! Thanks for the video Stryker!
Damn guess I did very very good with my retail 24 pk box from Walmart. Got a curtis mead green refractor auto/99, jackson chourio purple ray wave refractor/250. Didn't even know they existed until your chart!!! Thank you and got some other number cards. A great box for $150.
