Last week (I finally picked up a hobby box today) was a sacred time for card collectors -- the annual release of Topps Series 1.
Each year during the months leading up to the release, my Dad and I would talk about what rookies to be on the lookout for and in general who was going to be in the flagship release. Then, after we would each get our first box, we would tell each other who we found.
This is the first year without having Dad to talk to about all of it (he passed away in July 2021). Though, I'm sure he'll be looking down in anticipation of who I pull out when I rip the packs open later tonight.

Your value sheets are so helpful to people like myself who are just getting back into the hobby! You also do a great job of explaining the short prints and what hits to look out for. It can be difficult to know which star rookies to look for but you always point them out. Appreciate the effort you put in and the knowledge you share!

I always love seeing the price per pull breakdown. I run similar sheets for scratch off lotto in Texas but they tell you the cards still out there. As always, you're the star.

This video was made 4 months ago, but I just found it today. I’m digging around TH-cam to learn the most I can with this 2022 series I am starting our collection. I decided to STAR-t collecting again to give something to my first child (son) who has just turned 9 months. I look forward to following your videos to learn more about this year’s collections and getting back in the game. I’m creating the same moments I had with my dad collecting baseball cards in the 90s.

This is star quality material! Love the price/odds breakdown at the beginning. I always struggle with what to pick up at retail, so it's good to know that hangers bring the best value. To your point, from an opening perspective, I like opening more packs, but I like saving money more!
