Those old Volvos will run forever. Very cool!

There is a 1966 Volvo in the Guinness World Records for having the most mileage on a car. I think it has something like 3.2 MILLION miles. I am not sure how many are on the Volvo we took out but who cares??? Steve has had it for 20 years! As I have been behind the wheel, I can see why he finds driving it to be therapeutic!

The Volvo is more than holding her own on the road against all those modern vehicles - those Swedes knew what they were doing all those years ago when they put her together. Treat her right, and she'll last another sixty years - as long as there's something to run the engine on, she'll see off all those electric boxes on the roads today!

I would not mìnd driving a Polestar 2, but I have passion for the classics!

@@McElroysMotors Agreed. I've seen the odd Polestar over here and as modern electric cars go, they're not bad at all. But the classics are my thing.

@@iana6713 The person who I bought my Trabant off of not only has a couple Trabants but a Volvo PV544 in restoration.

Volvo made is reputation in the 60s through 80s with those models and the B18 and B20F engines. Last true Volvo to me was the 244 and 744 wagons. Bulletproof and good for 500k miles. With the 850 and into modern times they've tried to become a luxury brand and they are just another expensive car for people to lease for 2 or 3 years. Not what they used to be.

@@johnsarian_cu I agree. I do like the S60R and 850R but nothing takes the style more than the Volvos we know and love.

@@McElroysMotors I'm 6-1 and the 850 was the last model I fit in. I think the Swedes were targeting people shorter than that. The back seat of the S60 and even S80 to start were bad for me.
