I use the regular Lightroom so I can share albums with clients and being able to view and edit photos in almost every device you can think of. Idk, it just works for me…
Of course if it works for you then it's totally fine. You do you!
Lightroom Classic also allows you to print directly from the software
Wow
After many years of using the Classic version, I switched to Lightroom and it is the best decision I have ever made. I hate catalogs enormously, I work much more comfortably working with my own folders, just like working in Lightroom.
Same
I hate Classic’s folders so fricking confusing
Me with lightroom mobile:
me with picsart 💀
@@defectivepikachu4582 me with built in editor 💀
that would be LR creative cloud (the standard version he mentioned in vid)
me with snapseed 💀
It's the same as standard Lightroom
To be honest, Darktable worked out for me; better sharpness (didn't have to oversharpen like in LR/camera raw), a little better exposure manipulation (why does camera raw shows it so underexposed I had to literally push it +2 steps? It looks fine on camera and in other software), plus profiled denoising comes in clutch quite often
also it's free and open source, so you are free to develop your own version if you want
Same! I totally love Darktable. Such a good editor.
Though I have used camera raw for years. These couple of days I tried Capture one and I think it can deliver cleaner shadows with less noise and sharper overall details than adobe softwares does.
Thanks so for the explanation so for me standard works well and curse you for being so good at making your videos a loop 🤣
🤣
thanks, it's been a while since i've use lightroom and i wasn't getting why the whole interface was different haha
Ah i see what u did thr. Good loop on the video. Great vids! To the point, easy to understand, lots of info and holds my attention 😁👍.
The tutorials are great for total beginners. Helped me.
Your videos are very useful, i hope you will get more subscribers
Yes
merciii bcp
that's awesome
Thank youuuuu I had no idea
Lightroom 2024 (desktop version) is a "light" version of Lightroom Classic so many basic features missing hopefully in a few more years it will be up to par with the original.
What’s the best software? All of them! LR is best when you’re on location without a laptop. Cloud syncing makes everything a lot smoother later. Capture One is best for tethering when you do have a laptop, tagging and doing basic RAW edits. LRC is best for printing and cataloging finished RAWs, Photoshop is best for doing advanced retouching, Compositing and working on files for output to InDesign or Web. They all fit in the workflow
I wonder why they didn’t make it one.
Money
@@Time11111now it makes sense. Adobe is so greedy with money.
Is one better or is it ok for me to stick with Lightroom because I am a photographer that uses Lightroom a lot. Will it make a difference?
I use Classic, and I recently downloaded the newest version to try it out. I hated it. It's like they made everything overly complicated with all the social features. I just wanted to edit some photo.
Adobe needs to step it up and either get LR (Cloud) to the same specs, tools, etc... as LRc or better yet, develop LRc for the iPad. With Apple now announcing Logic Pro and Final Cut for the iPad, it is time for Adobe to show some love to us, the photographic community.
Nice loop
ILY
Hi, I just want to know if that works for astrophotography too?
Lightroom classic for days
👏🏻
-You forgot to mention that lightroom (non-classic) edits everything in the cloud, so if you have a weak computer that's a benefit. But bad if you have slow connection and/or a huge number of photos to edit.-
EDIT: I have since learned now that this info above is incorrect. I apologize for the false information. This was never my intent. This was all due to me misunderstanding the information available on Adobe's website. At the time of writing, this was how I understood it. Once I learned the correct information, I had forgotten about this comment, and thus it was never corrected until now.
Sorry!
Is that true?
it only uses the cloud for storage, editing is still done locally.
no…
This is not accurate 😂
How can this bs have 35 likes I’m dying
Cool T-Shirt.
I use lightroom classic… because I’m old.
Why LRC doesnt have the calibration settings at end of menu
wow
I was wondering if I could ask you something.
If you want to get into photography and abit of grafic design, would a person need both light room classic and photoshop or just one😅
Photoshop has something called Camera Raw which has very a similar layout to Lightroom. All the things Lightroom can do, Photoshop can do, it just has more things on top of it.
@@ianhandsup thank you, really appreciate it. What version of Photoshop has this, I'm guessing the latest version
Photoshop
Basically it includes lightroom ( known as camera raw ) + photoshop itself
I don't even know why lightroom exists , It's pointless.
I use Lightroom (not classic) for my business. They have updated it to do everything classic can do. Like it much better than classic. The classic is inferior at this point. Can you name one thing classic can do regular can’t??
My thoughts exactly. I like it that I syncs right away.
They both have very good features but lack them in one of the other it sucks so much 😭😭 why can’t we just have all the features in one software 😭😭😭
Lightroom Classic is an ANCIENT app that Adobe straight up REFUSES to rewrite with modern code, so they made Lightroom to take its place until they could come up with a MODERN version of Lightroom Classic for actual pros. We’re STILL F’ING WAITING..
Snapseed is pretty good too
Honestly I don't like Adobe so I use Luminar Neo. I love it, and I don't miss Lightroom much
Im still wondering 😂😂😂
I love bro
I use mobile as I like to quickly upload photos to my iPad and edit on the go
Camera raw over everything
Does Lightroom Classic sync? it sounds risky to not have any sharing feature.
Pixelmator Pro hands down
Dang so light room it is
Is Lightroom better then Photoshop I never tried any of them so just curious?
As photography appears to be pulling in new hobbyists these days, I really believe a comparison of other software would be a lot better, personally speaking I won't pay Adobe forever as a single hobbyist, I'm not a 30-man studio
Would really love to see affinity photo, darktable, raw therapee, capture one (still too expensive for the solo hobbyist imo) and all the others, including snapseed on mobile as well
Darktable actually really slaps once you start to learn it, moved to it because I hate subscription models such as Adobe's...
I only like light room classic. I don’t know why I hate all of your tips lol I’m going through them all and trying to find something, we gotta have some sort of commonality. I haven’t found it yet, but hopefully I will.
Me who Edit in snapseed n watching this video.
Tried Capture 1 and not going back to LR.
Capture one gang
I have the same MoMA shirt yoo
What about affinity photo?
I use Affinity Photo. It works great!
"LIGHTROOM CLASSIC is DESIGNED for PROFESSIONAL PHOTOGRAPHERS"
Through this sentence he is NOT telling about Lightroom classic 🤗
I personally prefer DXO PhotoLab...
Its all personal preference, not based on skill level. Use whatever one suits you
100%
I really hate that the (imo) real lightroom is now referred to as classic and that what should be Lightroom Lite or Mobile, is now referred to as "standard".
It's weird how the version with ALL features now is somehow a relic. Aso, there is literally no reason to why classic can't be auto synced with the cloud too...That is just the way Adobe can force you to use mobile and their cloud services.
I really love Classic lightroom, but man do I wish it would be better hardware optimized. Call me extremely surprised when I finally moved from lightroom 5.2 from 2015(?) to CC 2023, and it wasn't any faster
Is there a program that is a lot like Lightroom on pc but free?
Any recommendation someone that has little experience but is making photography their career? Do I start with one and go to the other or...?
Or even use both. LrC on desktop and MacBook, Lr cloud on iPad and iPhone with some folded from LrC synced over to Cloud
LightroomCC has 98% of the tools of LRC does just one has 8 different ways to do the same interface as it did decades ago. Not doggin on LRC it’s just CC gets snuffed by ‘pros’ a lot but I feel it’s overlooked by many.
Capture One
Link plz for download lightroom classic
I use Luminar Neo just because I can't justify the Adobe monthly cost.
What's the difference between Lightroom Classic and Adobe Camera Raw??
None all the same
I mean they have some minor differences. Like folders between Lr and LrC. In camera raw you can put presets one on top of each other while on Lr you can’t. There are subtleties like temperature control and white balance accuracy on kelvin between Lr and LrC/camera raw but like on the basic ground all the same with some little differences, I suggest you to try them all and then choose or use one of them occasionally like I do but my main is Lr. Cause I like the layout and it’s super fast.
Where I got its crack version..😅
I use camera raw
This is a wierd take to me, I don't think lightroom classic is designed for professionals and lightroom isn't I just think they wanted to take the software in a different direction. Lightroom has a lot better masking functionality than lightroom classic and I feel I can get more control with it.
The camera raw on photoshop is so much better than Lighrroom
I don't even know why does lightroom exist , Photoshop outmatches it in every aspect.
Perhaps for the people who don’t use photoshop 🤷♂️
Amazing summary. I can’t understand why adobe is underclocking Lr CC to make it such a shit experience compared to classic!!! Why?!?
Lightroom classic just lags for me. i find it too confusing anyways
Nice one. Pros need something different from hobbyist.
mobil doesn't have Lightroom Classic 😕
Darktable
What's Photoshop?
Capture One is better in my opinion
LRC IS BEST
I don't know. I use capture one.
Capture One all the way
I don't like Lightroom classic it feels like it hasn't been updated since 2010 and honestly I think adobe is going to discontinue it soon also the point of Lightroom is to develop pictures which Lightroom regular does pretty well for more sophisticated stuff I move to Photoshop
I don't usually edit my photos, but I use the Apple Photos editing feature. Simple and easy.
There is no "pro" version. Just use what you're familiar with
LR Classic is much better when you're using the software uhm 100% legally... No cloud bullshit
Yet theres no option for motion blur on either. Trash
