When I use the target tool for the colour mixer it selects the entire image rather than the mask?
That's odd. It should only select a specific color unless the colors are similar. In the new desktop version, you can also use the eyedropper tool to pick the color more precisely. which version of this lightroom?
I used Lightroom CC desktop for this demonstration, but any version will work. The steps are applicable for mobile, web, and classic.
Ungraded is better.
