Engi gives like 3% dmg increase. Tailoring if you can snapshot etc is like 2% if you can utilize it. Rest of crafting profs are pretty much all 1%. Atleast according to the bigbrains on disc
Feral Tanks should have mining/herbalism or mining/skinning. If I remember correctly , feral talents that buff stamina by percentage also take mining stamina into effect.

I became rich in Wotlk. Went inscription on all my alts ( six total). So I could make 6 darkmoon cards per day. I sold Darkmoon trinkets from beginning to end of expac. Greatness sold for 10-12k during tier 7 and I was still selling them for 4k during ICC. During this time I bought all my alts epic flying and even bought a couple of them the repair vender mount. Tons of gold to be made this way.

I've had Engi/Tailoring on my warlock since ZG in classic and i'll keep it going into wotlk. Engi was a good gathering prof in TBC with the gas clouds. Might have to actually level up my Pally alt to mine in wotlk.
Planning on having a Unholy DK as my main so I was already thinking of having blacksmithing and mining to begin with then drop mining for something for later on.
I'll do the same thing I always do.. I'm going rogue with skinning/mining. Once I hit level cap and waiting for the 1 week wait for naxx, I'll farm pre raid and sell leather. Once I have enough gold and raw ore to power level engineering and jc to max. I'll drop both gathering and pick up double crafting. The more I play the more likely I'll be able to do it before the raid even launches. If not, I may only do it towards the end of naxx, which is still fine. Naxx just isn't hard and honestly it takes a bit for assassination to really pick up anyway. As long as I'm ready for ulduar when shit gets real. This will be on fresh obviously. If I don't have it by the 90 days mark be use I severely underestimated something. I'll transfer my warlock main with 5k gold and every mat I need or transition to GDKP God willing and my guild isn't butt.
Let's say I have NO ALTS and want to Just make gold, What would be the best profession combination for a rogue? Skinning and Mining? Mining and Herbalism? Mining and Jewelcrafting? Inscription and Herbalism? I've really never done anything on the profession side because I play casually but I really want to start making gold.
I'm re-rolling to a DK, so I'm thinking Engineering + Mining initially, then I'll swap mining for jewelcrafting once I've got the most value from said mining (ie when leveling).
I enjoy farming so this video was perfect for me. I have every class to 70 with epic flying. I have so much free time and want to use it right. What do you think would be the best play with professions with an alt army? I would list what I have but that would make this comment so big.
Question though, what if you didn't really play Classic or TBC and are coming to Wrath with basically no gold and aren't going to go super hardcare? Isn't then the revenue from a gathering profession worth the loss of a second crafting profession, at least until you have the money to afford two?
I'm gona go Inscription in Wrath, and it was gona be alch/inscip, but damn that's a mountain of herbs I'd need. Mining+Herbalism is excellent on a Blood DK. Macro the herb heal together with the DK ability to increase hp and gealing received for a nice lifesaver (or Diamond Flask-y healing threat during pull).

How much does Herbalism's Lifeblood scale up with your max hp? It sounds like it could potentially be even better than the 60 Stam from Mining for a tank, but I can't find any sources from back then discussing the scaling.
Wowhead comments: Since 3.2, this ability scale with maximum hp. Great info. Honestly though, for what...99% of the community min/maxing professions won't make any difference in the long run. If you're sweaty enough and have the time, sure. Yet for most...nah.
Leatherworking Fur Lining Spell Resistance can be quite impactful for PvP. I think the patterns drop from daily quest mobs in northern Icecrown just like the Spell school absorb potion recipes
LW is not worth for pvp. For pvp u want either jc/bs or jc/engi, depending on how much punish ur class u play in pvp can soak in dps from opposite faction, does ur toon have speed ups like sprint to get out of combat etc. on a pvp rogue for example i always have jc/engi, on a hunter engi/alchemy /Flask of North usable in arena +80 ap/, bt on pvp dk, pala, warr i go for bs/jc bcs they are not so squishy like previous classes aka hunter or rogue, on a feral-balance druid i even go with alchemy/jc. LW have some nice bonuses thats for sure bt when u compare it what other profs like engi for example bring to the table LW is not so good choice for pvp. any good pvper i know never had LW on hes toons. bt then again for example our main pala tank in main raid crew have jc/lw. im not saying u should not go for it for pvp im just saying i did comparison in wotlk and that what i know. for casters i usually go for tailoring/jc or tailoring/engi for pvp, even if, even if inscription shoulder enchant looks sweet with his bonuses. bt again its all how you decide and how is your playstyle. cheers :)
@@seductiveNS I can't disagree that the basic SP/AP bonus from LW (same with enchanting and inscription) is not as good as the more unique bonuses from jc/bs/eng, but my comment was about the fur linings for spell school resists

I plan on having engi and JC on hunter later on, but go engi+gathering in the start. Do you think I should leave herbalism or level mining (I can get stuff for JC lvling rhat way) ? Is mining potentially more gold on start because of all the DKs and paladins needing that crafted gear? Also, is tailor/alch on lock good for some passive income+raiding? I do want to play it but not minmax. In the end what would you recommend as proffs on the 3rd char if I lvl it?
week 1 of wrath farming herbs will be Fing HUGE
Is there any way to track mining / herbalism same time? Except spamming annoying macro that triggers gcd all the time?
Nope, the macro is the best way to track them. And why is it annoying to get gcd while you are flying?
Awesome video again - I’ll be prot pally again right now I’m enchanting / engineering ; I really want to keep enchanting so I may go for skinning in as second - any advice ?
I would honestly keep your proffs as they are, doing dungeon farms solo for enchanting mats will be solid and engineering is just so good I could never drop it lol
Thanks dude really appreciate it , engineering is still really strong tanking ? Like speed boost ?
@@danbill9165 If you want to do good in raids, you'd want JC, it provides 3 big stamina gems and an insane trinket that will last you a long while.
@@vildjuret6591 trinket name sounds good?

The uncle Roger in the thumbnail haha.
The guy is a legend!
@@Scottejaye He really is! I love watching his videos haha.
Is mining worth it for warlock? given that stamina basically = mana?
Leveling a new rogue on a fresh server in tbc what would be good professions for him he fluent have anyone to feed him mats, was thinking skinning and lw or skinning and mining or herb thoughts?
I'd probably go mining/engi personally, be great with those ready for WOTLK as well ready to drop mining for JC at a later date
Go lw and nothing save it for inscription
Mage tail ench/ rogue lw insc /priest alchemy Insc / warrior bs insc / hunter skinning alchemy/ druid mining herb/ pally eng jc that's what I have
Great info. Honestly though, for what...99% of the community min/maxing professions won't make any difference in the long run. If you're sweaty enough and have the time, sure. Yet for most...nah.
Darkmoon Greatness gonna be my #1 prio for my alt rogue
Did not expect uncle Rogger here.
right ready
I see that chiefs hat my man LETS GOOOOOOO
What? When did they announce wotlk classic?!
I’m going for double crafting professions for my alts and toons, and aim gdkp runs
Im going to run duel crafting and buy gold for income
@@PretentiousD hahahaha.
