Emily Hughes! So kind of you to share this feedback. Thank you, and I'm so glad to hear it. They have certainly been helpful for me too. It sometimes feels like there's *so much stuff* with GA4, that documenting things is the only way to keep it in my brain. Anyway, great to hear from you. I hope you had a Merry Christmas and have a wonderful New Year.
I truly appreciate your presentation style-it's relaxed and calm, yet professional and succinct. This approach is exactly what I need when I'm trying to learn GA4, as I prefer substance over showmanship. Thank you so much for your efforts!
That's very kind of you to share and also encouraging. Thank you! No pressure, but here are two videos that might be worth checking out if you don't already have the material down: Just a word of warning though: they are not short! So perhaps best to split them up if you decide to check it out. This one is all about GA4 events. Understanding them. Creating them. Reporting with them. Etc: th-cam.com/video/hHYX9HMtfRU/w-d-xo.html This the 2023 Beginner's Tutorial. It is going to get an update for 2024 at some point, but the most important stuff is still all current: th-cam.com/video/oPngBJsxUmI/w-d-xo.html Best wishes to you on your GA4 journey!
Hey man - I REALLY appreciate your videos. They are well presented and I always understand the concepts after you explain it. I can't hear them very well though - with the volume all the way up. Maybe audio settings need a tweak. GREAT CONTENT!
Chris, thanks so much for the encouraging words and the practical feedback. It is definitely amateur hour over here as it relates to audio, and I need all the help I can get. Thank you. : ) Good luck and God bless! Zack
brother you're doing a great job and the videos are very informative. Just one suggestion from my side is that you should improve the voice clarity in your video because it's hard to understand what you're saying even though I've raised all volumes to high. Your content is awesome and valuable. Must improve the voice factor.
Thanks for the heads up, Zunair! I appreciate the encouraging words and also the useful feedback. I have been trying to work on this in more recent videos. Here's a link below to my most recent one. If you get a chance, I'd be grateful if you could let me know if this is any better. th-cam.com/video/_zKU3sW-Jng/w-d-xo.html Thanks again. Zack
Hey, thanks for coming by and watching! And thanks too for the heads up on volume. I've struggled with getting the volume right (recording amateur over here), but I've been trying to be more careful about this in recent videos. Cheers!
Hello there. Thanks for watching and for the thoughtful question. What I would do is first create an event to fire when your specific product page is viewed. You can do this either with the help of Google Tag Manager (create a GA4 event tag and a trigger when your product page is viewed) OR you can use the built in event creation tool in GA4 for this kind of simple page_view event. Here's a written guide to doing it that second way (no Tag Manager) that also includes an embedded video review: www.rootandbranchgroup.com/ga4-custom-events/ Once you've done that, you can create a segment audience based on the event conditions being satisfied and you mark that segment to be recorded as an audience. Hope that helps get you what you need. Good luck and Godspeed to you!
Thanks for the video What percentage of Facebook / Tiktok / Pinterest traffic... Can we get in Google Ads audiences? Even though the audience is extremely close to reality on Google Analytics, the Google Ads audience does not feed at all accordingly...
Has it been your experience that your social traffic doesn't line up with what you're able to see when you try and create Audiences? That would be new info for me, but then again, there is a lot that I'm still learning about GA4. Also interesting to me that your Google Ads audiences don't seem to line up. If there's one source where you'd think Google Analytics should be prioritizing, it's Google Ads. Wish I could offer more assistance.
Hi there. Thanks for watching and for your question. I don't have a resource for that specifically, but I found something online that I think might help. It would involve creating an event for the session duration target and then building an audience from there. Here's an article and also a link to a TH-cam video that might help: twooctobers.com/blog/track-session-duration-conversions-in-ga4/ th-cam.com/video/25qotNS_hzg/w-d-xo.html Best wishes!
Hi, I had a question I'm your event I set up html5 video tracking And I got my data from the debug part of ga4 and i set custom dimension too but i just can see "no set" in my report or explore How can I solve this problem?
Hi there! (not set) is a placeholder that GA4 uses when it hasn't received info for a dimension. It's possible that perhaps you were seeing (not set) before the custom dimension was fully registered by GA4. Are you still seeing it now or has it resolved? If it's still there, this article has some workflows for trying to resolve (not set) in various situations: www.analyticsmania.com/post/not-set-in-google-analytics-4/
Hi there, MuWarrior - this is a custom event and it wouldn't be there by default. Good news, though! You can create it and it's not too confusing to do so. If you want to do it, here's the guide to follow along and get that timer_1min event in your GA4 data: www.rootandbranchgroup.com/ga4-page-timer-tracking/ Best wishes. Zack
Yea, I hear you (figuratively) on that. I'm an audio amateur and recorded a few videos where the mic level was too low. Sorry. If you check out any of the more recent videos, I think it's been addressed. Thanks for letting me know and best wishes.
These GA4 videos are life-changing. Thank you so much for such thorough documentation!

Respect for replying to comments.
Thank you. I think checking out the comments helps me at least as much as anyone I'm answering, so it's the 'ol win / win.
Appreciate it!

@@rooted-digital try looking up a basic compression guide! That should help.
