Javed Ahmed Ghamidi is a Pakistani Muslim theologian, a Quran scholar, and an educationist. Mr. Ghamidi is a student of Maulana Amin Ahsan Islahi and Maulana Abul A’la Maududi. salam hassan bhai i have never commented on any of the videos but i must say your questions have made these videos so much informative . You have inquired from so many critical angles where as Ghamdi sahib in response has shed light on all of them in such a way which has helped to understand matters of deen which were never understood like this before . May Allah help us all to become the best muslim which Allah wants us to be amen.
Hassan bhai…I MUST say that you have not left ANY angle unsaid. You brought questions upon questions from here and there and everywhere and Ghamidi sb - may Allah Bless him -came back with responses which really set the heart at peace. This program is NOT to be missed . I have been a student of Quran for many many years and not once has someone been able to answer the questions the way ghamidi sb has. AND it has English subtitles…amazing. Absolutely superb. Allah bless Ghamidi sb and all your team for making this gem.

I wish I could meet Javed Ahmed Ghamidi sb... He is such a wonderful scholar, talks sense, is free from obsolete thinking, and the epitome of wisdom. I am convinced that in this era, there is no scholar of his stature and character. An epitome of knowledge and study! I wish more and more scholars listened to this series. This series has made me realize my entire schooling since grade 5 was so flawed and based on weak references.
Also thanks Hasan Bhai for gathering so many references to questions, others' points of view, and criticism on Ghamidi... However unfortunate we are to have made this man flee from his own country!

This is called a true intellectual debate. Hassan ilyas is the best critic. He puts forwards each and every aspect of the particular matter and how he presents those questions, sometimes very hard, is good.

Please include in the discussion the meaning of the Arabic wordخمار that was described by Noman Ali Khan in one of his lectures as a covering of the head. He actually went at length to describe different Arabic words that can be used for the coverings for different parts of the body and then said that according to the Arabic understanding, this word was used specifically to mean a cloth that fully covers somebody’s head. So, is it a sin to show the hair for a woman.
There is another video i watched in past of Ghamidi sir where he answered this question. I cannot find the link of it yet. But if i remember , Ghamidi sir also knows that khimaar is used for head covering. But the whole context of the verse tells the conditions in which it is obligatory. When women do zaib o zeenat then its mandatory according to Ghamidi sir as also told in the Quranic verse. In this lecture lecture and previous , they are discussion what is "ziab o zeenat".
I follow Nouman Ali khan and many other traditional scholars. One thing I analyzed is that Ghamidi sir mental capacity is exceptional and he looks at things on objective level rather than trying to impose his own biases on the verses of Quran.

Ye rawayya aisa malum hota hai ki aap sawal nahi balki Judgement de rahe hain. Ummeed hai ke ainda aap iska khaas qayal rakhenge.

If the headscarf is not obligatory and a preferred practice, does that make the headscarf the equivalent of the cap men wear (since covering the head is also part of the excellent attire for men according to the previous discussion)? Is the headscarf encouraged to the same degree the cap for men is encouraged?

زینت کے مفہوم میں ہر وہ چیز جس سے خودکو سجایا جاتا ہے مراد ہے تو جیسا کہ مولانا مودودی نے فرمایا اور غامدی صاحب بھی اس کی حمایت کر رہے ہیں کہ میک اپ کرنا بھی زینت کے مفہوم میں آ جاتا ہے۔ قدرتی حسن و جمال نہیں لیکن جب اس چہرے کو میک اپ کر کے سجایا جاٸے تو تب تو چہرے کا پردہ بھی ضروری ہو جاتا ہے۔ اس حوالے سے غامدی صاحب کیا کہیں گے؟
what i understand is even with zeenat there is an exception of those parts which are usually open means face and hands and feet stay revealed.

Nabina sahabi wali hadees ka no : kya hai?
In this video no 10, after 5:00 minutes, you referred to a hadis from Maimona (r. a), and Ghamidi sb said that this hadis is "Zaeef". I checked it, and this hadis is mentioned in the book Mishkat - Hadis number 3116 , and its status is "Saheeh". What is your commet on this? Can you please give a reference, where it is Zaeef?

The chain of the hadeeth contains a majhool raawi and is classified as daeef by Shaykh Nasiruddin Albani. See Irwa' al-Ghaleel, 1806.
Ref status is Zaeef ...Yes status is Sahih ... So be careful
Does it mean that ghamdi sahib is saying that for a woman it’s not essential to cover head and hair? I understand he is saying covering face , hand and feet is not essential even with makeup.
