How about Maududi and Islahi - the teachers of Ghamdi?
Muhammed Ameenulhaq well they were great religious scholars and most respected . But hazrat maududdi Sb’s (May Allah rests him in Janna ) religious thought didn’t receive much following and accolade due to lots of flaws in his religious thought . Ghamdi sb is not only religious intellectual but he has studied social science as well as philosophy . that is why he has understood religion and it’s application in a real sense . And common understand religion easily when listens to Ghamdi Sb’s interpretation of religion.
@@PeoplePlateAndPlaces Religion is in fact for "the world" after this world as Ghamdi Sb also explains. So, the popularity of a thought is not a matter but its authenticity matters. Before following Ghamdi Sb or Maududi Sb or Ahl e Sunna or Ahl e tashee or any one, we shall make sure that the explained religion (if followed) will be accepted at the Day of Judgment.
One criteria to judge the authenticity could be to understand the root cause of any explanation of religion given by any scholar.
Is it to defend mistakes of previous scholars?
Is it a reaction to a suppression?
Does it has any financial interest?
Is it to please others and to get popularity?
Is it to get alignment of worldly wishes with the requirements of religion?
Many others question as far as we could go.
If we couldn't find any cause except to get best reward on the "Day of Judgement", then it will be the true interpretation of the religion that will be rewarded In Sha Allah at the day of judgement.
