I love Eivor, I accidently discovered her on youtube some 9 years ago. I'm so glad she's getting to be more known. She's me favouritr female vocalist. She's the one who can do everything. She has classical vocal training so she can do Opera ( look for panis Angelicus Eivor), Her version of May it be by Enia ( song of Lotr). Another great version of the song you've just listened with more of that throat singing (she has several versions of her own songs, Undo your mind a song that coul be features in a James Bond movie, My mother with it's folky sound, Falling free is a great song. Her collaboration with Einar from Wardruna (in the same line as Hilung but with their own flavor). There's a lot to choose from and to drop your jaw in what concerns Eivor.
Have you all ever checked out Aurora? She's another Scandinavian artist that is very talented and unique. If not, you should check her out (She's from Norway) You can check out "Through the eyes of a child" live at Nidarostomen or her music video for "Runaway" There's lots of great choices, but I would love for you to check her out. So it follows closely Icelandic pronunciation conventions, lo-kEh instead of low-key when pronouncing Loki’s name. But then again even in English, there are at least two ways to say “about”. So what do I know? The way you write it, the vowels seem to be replaced with schwa or near-schwa. I guess Faroese seems to be half-way house between modern Icelandic and general English in pronunciation conventions.

From the Faero islands, a group of small islands in the middle of the North atlantic , due west from Norway and due south from Iceland. Folk in Europe is not mainstream, but every generation is rediscovering it. At some point everyone will be interested in Middle Ages and before that. Then these bands are interesting. The interest does not have to be permanent, but it ensures the survival of the ancient culture.

About 1hour north of where this is filmed there is an international music festival. Every year (well not this) last year we had mongolian throat singing on top of a mountain as one of the events. The year before we had native Americans here. But is often is more folk music there. A little but further inland there is a metal festival each year that your band would fit in very well.

Folk in Europe is not mainstream, but every generation is rediscovering it. At some point everyone will be interested in Middle Ages and before that. Then these bands are interesting. The interest does not have to be permanent, but it ensures the survival of the ancient culture.
This recording is from Norway's public broadcaster. It's pretty mainstream in that sense.

It´s no beatboxing it´s called Faroese throat singing. For me, her voice is a force of nature, calming and energizing at the same time.
About 1hour north of where this is filmed there is an international music festival. Every year (well not this) last year we had mongolian throat singing on top of a mountain as one of the events.
The year before we had native Americans here.
But is often is more folk music there.
A little but further inland there is a metal festival each year that your band would fit in very well.
I was expecting hidden stone creatures to rise out of the lake and show themselves from mountain sides.

Kokia is amazing artist, I recommended her on many channels, but she is not that much popular, because of it, almost no-one want to react her songs, it's so sad. :( Can you react her? The ladder farm is on the UNESCO World Heritage List from 2005, and it is located by the Aurlandsfjord.
