  • Here is a tutorial on how to install Memphis Shades Cafe Fairing on Sportster Iron 883. I go through everything from unboxing the memphis shades trigger lock kit and the cafe fairing to how to install the trigger lock kit on to the cafe fairing and on to a harley-davidson sportster iron 883. This was not the easiest install but a beginner can definitely do it (with a lot of patience and trial and error). Let me know in the comments below if you think I installed it wrong! Easy sportster mod for sure!

    Special thanks to ‪@memphisshades‬ for letting me feature their Cafe Fairing for my sportster iron 883! Be sure to subscribe to watch the review in the near future!

    What are your thoughts about getting a fairing for your sportster?

      @@jayteesgear thanks! It sort of does but not by much. I am brainstorming how to visually show the difference without going into a windtunnel lol

    Nice job good detail of the tricky bits top man. Keep riding and stay safe.
    You can loosen the indicators and swivel them out a little really easily.

    I got the Amazon Katur fairing ($35) with no instructions but figured it out with a little trial and error, what I didn’t necessarily like was that I have to use the hardware for the headlight brow which means it’s not a quick disconnect. I took it off a while back and haven’t had the interest in putting it back on but I imagine if I had that quick attach option I’d go back and forth! Thanks for sharing the process, might have to look into this brand!

      hey thanks for sharing your experience with the Krator fairing! I was thinking of getting that as the cheaper option but I wasn't sure how the build quality would have made a difference. The snappy mount definitely pays dividends when I get tired of the look and quickly install or dismount the fairing as I please. Cheers!

    I believe that you can adjust the oem turnsignals as they're on a ball mount. So you should be able to lossen them and rock the signals outward. Looks great!

    Are those the stock 883 handlebars??? Also, I just received my cafe fairing and trigger lock mounting system and it’s different than yours, longer arms. Contacted MS and they said I have the correct one… I’m so confused, but I do have a turn signal relocation kit that I’m installing before the fairing so I might be good to go

    • @KSMotoCafe
      @KSMotoCafe  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      stock handlebars but i have 4" riser on my bike - which gave more room for the fairing without needing to relocate the lights. as for the mounting kit difference, I couldn't tel u why it may look different. maybe they updated it

  • @doomsayer559
    @doomsayer559 หลายเดือนก่อน

    Just FYI this fairing does work with factory bars, with factory location turn signals. That's what I'm running. Not even close to making contact. The problem you ran into with a clearance issue and aftermarket bars, I'm not sure. But you did install the fork mounting brackets backwards. They're incorrect. Only issue I can see that would cause that problem.

    I’m having issues with it, the silver mounting brackets that connect to the fairing are too big in circumference and keep sliding down even when fully tightened, is there something I can do to fix ? 2021 harley sportster 883
