    You’ve shared this at the perfect time! I’m moving from London to Thailand alone and I’ll be vlogging in public a lot. Right now I’m not that used to it as I always record at home. I struggle a lot outdoors. 😂 Thanks so much Paddy! I love your channel! ❤

    I had my first taste of awkwardness as I vlogged today. 2 old ladies sat in their garden as I walked past their house chatting away to the camera, totally unaware of their stares and confusion as I focused on the camera.... I felt very embarrassed, but I'll take all your advice onboard. Cheers mate!

    Very good advice Paddy, I just did a small video of the Haworth 1940s weekend and it was difficult tryintg to just be myself. As an older person (58) it does feel awkward. Your videos are an inspiration to those of us who want to give it a go but are a tad unsure . I myself have a business venture in the pipeline and will need to vlog to help promote it. Im still a few months away (as it will be in Isaan at our Thai home- not here in the UK) . Keep up the good work and whenNok and I are finally out in the land of smiles I will keep my eyes peeled for you and Zelda :)

    I have been to 60 countries in 2018 I was on a 3 month trip and wanted to start a YT channel.. I felt so silly walking and talking to the camera.. the footage was bad and the audio sucked so I didn’t use it.. I didn’t try again, until now, I am starting another 3 month trip soon and I plan to give it another go but I am going to be more prepared.. I tested my gear in Mexico last month and the set up was huge especially with the Mic, also its hard to leave it on the beach and swim.. so I am changing to a go pro set up with my cell as the Night camera..

    Hiya Paddy.
    Barry White. Lol.
    Love seeing the old footage.
    Great tips for success. You are so easy to watch, Paddy. That makes a big difference.
    Some people are boring. Thank you for all the great advice. I choose to stay behind the camera. Buddy is the star of my channel. And I find TH-cam to be a great memory builder. You are a legend sharing your tips. I really hope the course goes well. I am maxed out decorating my home right now. Maybe in the future, I will buy it.
    Have a great weekend.

    I like to visualise my viewer as a 300lb, middle aged Apalatian mountain man dressed in a Japanese school girl outfit while eating a double double with cheese from in and out and simultaneously knocking one out to the video.
    I tend to feel a lot less nervous that way and if the feedback for Cleetus is anything to go by I'm absolutely killing it!

    Excellent video paddy. Loved all the talking points. But there is a way to cheat and I do it often. It is a level two move. Shoot your outdoor clip walking back words, just b roll footage. Then shoot your clips or monolog in front of a green screen as many times as needed to get it right. Blend together in the edit. Great for stupid people like me who can't remember their lines. Love the method acting tip envisioning being in a different location. Envisioning who you are talking to, just excellent. I hope you sell a lot of courses I can tell it have a lot of value from this video.

    What about your thoughts on vlogging in small noodle shops and eateries in which there are paying customers around you?

    • @adamandlinds
      @adamandlinds ปีที่แล้ว

      I know you didn’t ask me but here are some of my thoughts. Film the food, film your silent reaction and speak in a soft voice. Or film your reaction later outside if it’s too quiet to feel comfortable doing any speaking. I also find sometimes it’s easier to just use my iPhone instead of the big camera. I’m working on improving our eating scenes too. Good luck!
