Nothing wrong with starting it on its side. nice work guys. what did you put this engine into.? all these negative comments below are prob from 12 year old who have never even driven a car. let alone know how to wire and test fire an engine.
@xpicer ...idiots! I honestly should have done this with mine! But I am confident that it runs! (:-x) I think its hilarious that people think running it for 10 seconds on its side like that is going to damage something! That thing could be "dry", and it wouldn't get damaged!
Oh yeah! Because what they where doing, was getting it 100% up and running, and then installing it in the vehicle. Its called a test start genius. These engines come from god knows where. You can't trust the people that distribute them privately. Taking a few minutes to wire it up and see if it turns over, or even starts in the first place, before installing it, is anything but DUMB!! IT SAVES TIME! Compression doesn't tell the whole story. Think before you Talk! (or type)

i remenber having to translate the pinout, simbol by simbol
hmm... maybe if they connected the boost line TO THE TURBO AND INTAKE the AFR's would be right and it would work right
