I was watching with the captions on and when Light said said "You're on Mike Hawk!" I read "You're on my [_]" and i burst out laughing, because i also didnt get the "Mike Hawk" joke until then
wholesome angel child light and chaotic devil child l are something i never thought i needed. soichiro constantly being two seconds away from kicking l's ass while light doesn't even notice is hilarious. so is the fact that the innuendo-filled tennis match is canon to both the musical and the tv drama, in which l not only thinks about light in the shower, he GETS IN IT WITH HIM. i am not making that up.

Love how the first thing he mumbles upon waking up, but still clearly affected from the attack, is how he is going to take L's life, while being in front of L lol. The whole exchange that follows suit between Soichiro, L and Light is so good! I thought Soichiro was going to have another heart attack. L is walking between the lines of mischievous and devilish in this abridged series, and I'm all here for it.
L and Soichiro's dynamic is so funny, it's only episode 6 and Soichiro already wants him dead 🤣 And I love how in this version Light is invited to help with the investigation just because L just wanted to spite Soichiro Can't wait to see what Misa brings to the table!
