I wish that new infotainment system came with a table and cabinet to hold all the cables and other junk that we have to use in order to make the system worthwhile
I have a new Denali Ultimate with this system, but mine does not show the Navigation option on the rear monitors (Only shows Hulu/TH-cam/HDMI) ... Did they get rid of the rear seat Navigation feature, or is that something I need to turn on?
Any USB needs to be MS DOS FAT formatted, and you can use file types MP4, mp3, AAC, OGG, and 3GP for video play. You will need whatever type of USB drive cable to a USB-C.
Awesome video. Few questions: 1a. Can u connect a ps, Xbox, switch or even a blu ray player? Streaming seems like it'll kill the data plan. 1b. Or is the 4g capability unlimited? How much is the 4g plan?? 2. I've seen that screen can tilt forward and back but can it also be raised and lowered? 3. Feels like GM forgot that usually the smaller kids sit in the third row. How are they going to be able to see content from back there?? How is the viewing angle in the third row? Feels like every ride is gonna be a fight of who sits in the second row. (I have 4 kids🙄lol) hope to hear from you. Thanks keep it up
hello sir, could you help me find a problem in my gmc Yukon 2021, when I put the movie on the television the audio is not heard, could you help me please
There aren't any monitors in the 3rd row, I believe the idea was to have them watch the monitor kiddy corner to them across the center so in a way yes they don't get thier own interface. I wouldn't say they get totally left out though especially with the wifi capabilities and available tablet holders they would actually have more access when connected to the wifi then the built in screens.
I have a yukon 2021 we connected a roku to the screens worked for a day and the next day it stopped working how can we fix it we think it's the HDMI connector from the truck
Plug in your fires stick via HDMI and the power outlet provide below and select the respective HDMI port you have your fire stick plugged in and that should do it
Loved the vid Jeff. Question. is this a apple or Samsung equivalent device? Only reason I'm asking is this option is a $3500 addition. I am thinking of purchasing either a Kindle device, Samsung tablet and mount on the head rest but curious to know who the manf of these screens are because cannot find a 12.6" screen thus far. Seeing alot of 10" screens. Please let me know as I am purchasing a LT 2021 W/SIGNATURE PACKAGE in the next few days. thank you.
Appreciate the walkthrough video. Are the screens removable at all? Not a theft question, but more of a don’t want to tempt the kids in the back all the time with a screen...
Sorry for the slow reply, I will have to check on that one. I can understand that thought and I'm sure my local customers will have the same question so let me dig into it. Hope I can get a quick answer for us both.
Jeff The GM Guy Ok what do I need to use Apple phone and mirror what app is that. And also how do you use fire stick And Netflix on phone works. So as long as phone is connected. I can use Netflix for kids
For someone with an iphone, can you tell me what specific hdmi adapter you used to be able to stream netflix, disney plus, amazon prime etc. off your iphone onto the media screen? I watched another video and it said you can only use those apps and view them on the media screen if you connect your iphone via the hdmi port in the car not the usb-c port.
I connected roku it pulled up on rear screen but i can’t touch it to Choose choose Netflix? Do you have to do something in settings to allow that.? I can’t figure out how to Do it in the front either
That's because you have to use your roku remote to control the roku just like if it was connected to a tv in your home. The touch screen is only for the menu of the screen to select inputs or nav.
Hi. I just purchased the 2021 Yukon SLT. I’m having trouble with the rear media. I’ve been plugging in my usb cord ( in the front and back) and the screen still says I need to connect even while plugged in. Is there something I’m missing. I have an iPhone does it not work with an iPhone?
How to operate from front center stack infotainment you will plug in usb cable to the center stack infotainment and the other end to your iPhone, then you will play youtube videos on your phone....how to operate that from your phone you will saw the youtube video into that center stack infotainment and in the RSI or rear seat infotainment?
Forgot to add, using an apple device for the rear entertainment is a JOKE, and my car has been in the shop for 7 weeks due to engine failure. Had to have an engineer come down from the GMC plant to trouble shoot bc they couldn’t figure it out….don’t purchase if you haven’t yet.
Better off sticking to an IPad and taking it with you. Easier to use and well easier to use. The system is complicated for no reason... Big let down. Recommending customers not get that option and save themselves some money.
Just got our new Yukon xl AT4 and what a joke. $80,000 vehicle and my kids can’t mirror their iPhones. You need a cord? Tried a cord, nope won’t read. Waste of money. Typical GM a day late and dollar short like always. Usually third in line.
nice video FYI, the owner's manual states only Samsung and LG mobile phones, I have a Motorola Phone (MotoZ4) ...so if you come across an app that will work for my mobile I would appreciate sending information my way
I’m not sure if this has anything to do with it.. but my 2017 Escalade had them and I had CONSTANT issues. They would suddenly begin moving forward while I was driving even. So I gladly traded my Escalade off and got a 21 RST Suburban, and was happy not to have that feature.
Rear entertainment is not really relevant in today's world. Just buy a screen of some kind for each kid and it has all the games and shows and movies you need. Download movies. Done. The fact these cost several thousand as add-ons is ridiculous.
Just bought the 2023 Ultimate. This rear tv system is an absolute ripoff! There ads are very misleading!!! Better to buy a kindle or iPad! So absolutely upset with GMC!
They pair through infrared meaning they automatically sync. You will notice a channel button on the headphones simply click to switch between the screens.
@@jeffhodor2683 yes they do, your dealer should have provided you with a box that has two headsets if your Yukon/Tahoe has the rear entertainment media dual screens
Jeff - is incredibly knowledgeable and helpful and truly a great guy. He helped me understand the tech specs of my new Yukon
So excited about my new Denali XL and these monitors my kids are gonna love if I can figure them out so thanks for this video.
I wish that new infotainment system came with a table and cabinet to hold all the cables and other junk that we have to use in order to make the system worthwhile
Thanks this is all crazy to me but also amazing.
This helped a little as I could not see my iphone, now I know why. Thanks.
Can the rear Entertainment system be added in a 2021 Yukon that didn't come with originally?
Yeah, yeah yeah how do I play my daughters favorite Disney+ movies on these goddamn screens
How do you reset or unlock the screen?
Can we watch TH-cam on the rear screen..? And are gonna develop an app the mirror screening to it for apple devices?
you can easily mirror your iphone through an Apple tv connected via hdmi
Can you make all screen show something together the front one too
I have a question 🙏🏻
How can I plug the battery to the GMC headphone ??
I have a new Denali Ultimate with this system, but mine does not show the Navigation option on the rear monitors (Only shows Hulu/TH-cam/HDMI) ... Did they get rid of the rear seat Navigation feature, or is that something I need to turn on?
How to charge wireless head sets
How do you keep the TVs on when the doors are opened?
Any USB needs to be MS DOS FAT formatted, and you can use file types MP4, mp3, AAC, OGG, and 3GP for video play. You will need whatever type of USB drive cable to a USB-C.
Is the screen replaceable if cracked?
Yes. About $800 from the dealer

Recently on mine the hdmi and usbc quit working. The fuses are fine.
This opttion is well worth it.
How do I turn off the video voice over off on my 2021 gmc denali rear screen on the driver side
You mentioned being able to watch Netflix from miracast. The only thing that works for me is TH-cam. Do you have any tips to get Netflix to work?
What about the 3rd row seat? Are there monitors for the 3rd row or do those kids sitting in the back get left out?
There aren't any monitors in the 3rd row, I believe the idea was to have them watch the monitor kiddy corner to them across the center so in a way yes they don't get thier own interface. Can the Headrest w TV Screen be removed ?
Can you please tell me how to play my fire stick on this I plug it in and it does nothing
Plug in your fires stick via HDMI and the power outlet provide below and select the respective HDMI port you have your fire stick plugged in and that should do it
you are not alone... the rep could not get it to work when she was here either.
Seems the power plug didn’t work so I plugged into a usb on the Main dash and it worked fine.
Is this an option for Sierras??

Spend the money, it increases resale value…
is there any way to remove the monitors ?
Is it possible to have CarPlay show up on the rear screens?
You get navigation and music with a type c connection almost like carplay
My screen doesn’t have this on there just says hdmi1 and hdmi2
Can I install that entertainment system on a 2017 yukon slt?

Are there protective screen covers available to purchase?
How to get the sound through the cars speakers for infants and toddlers who can't wear a headset.
on the front screen go to Rear Madia and then Press the listen button.
I tried doing this but do not see a “listen” button on the front screen of my 2021 Yukon Denali. Can you verify this on a 2021?
Choose the source from the main screen same where you wanna have fm or Bluetooth etc...
How do I play audio from videos to the Yukon’s vehicle speakers? Am I able to do that??

What brand monitors are these?
How do you pair the headphones to this system? They are the factory bluetooth ones that came with it.
They are infrared syncing. Turn them on and hit the channel button while something is playing on the screen and audio will play through the headsets
