    My goodness! You are an absolutely PERFECT presenter and trainer. Does your dealership know how darned good you are? If not, they need to get on the stick and have you train other dealership staff. OH. Does your dealership ever "loan" you out to schools to educate kids about vehicles and safety? You definitely have the personality and the skills to present to a myriad of kids and future customers!

      I spoke too soon man 😔. I watched this video right after I brought it home. Chevy completely nerfed the system.
      No Miracast, no usb controls. I think I will have to buy a media device and pay for a data plan.
      If you get a chance to check it out please do a video on the best workaround options.

    Hey Dave, bro I love your videos man!! Very impressed. The only critique is that, dude you speak super fast..lol. Outside of that very impressed with your level of detail. Will be picking up the 2021 Chevy LT w/signature package. Wicked truck and its thanks to your video! I specifically asked for that package based on your review. I did not opt for the entertainment package as its a super $$$ option just for two screens. For that, I'll pay for the wi fi from Onstar, get 2 12.6" Samsung tablets, rear headrest mount and call it a day! Thank you sir! Keep up the good work.

    • @barclaytaylor1585
      @barclaytaylor1585 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I bought three different adapters trying to figure this out. You have to buy the Apple brand HDMI to Lightning adapter ($60) and use an Apple brand charger. Everything must be Apple brand and it should work with your iphone. I bought the most expensive adapter on Amazon and it did not work. Bought the Apple brand adapter at Best Buy, boom.

    You're confusing the mirror cast a bit. At least the Samsung phones and tablets have the mirror cast already built in. Just swipe from top to the task bar and select "SmartView" ,start mirroring to any screen but you don't need to keep the screen of your phone on all the time. The Samsung phones allow the mirroring even if you turn the display off or when the screenOn timer ends, it goes black out but shows the smartview icon.

    Thanks for this information. With my 2021 Denali after many unsuccessful tries with discount lightning to digital AV adapters on Amazon I finally determined that there is no choice but to buy Apple’s proprietary version. I got it at Best Buy. I also bought Apple’s lightning to USB-C cable to connect to the HDMI adaptor in order to charge the phone while streaming. Third, I bought an Amazon Basics HDMI to HDMI cable to connect to the car. All that will set you back around $100. The problem is that I can only stream from apps such as Netflix, Hulu and Disney+. So far I have not been able to view content in the AppleTV app that comes on Apple devices. In other words - all the content I have previously purchased from Apple‘s iTunes store such as movies and TV shows- none of it will go to the infotainment center. I get an error message that says: “Cannot play movie. The connected display is not authorized to play protected movies.” The GMC dealership has not yet been able to offer a solution to this. Any help would be most appreciative.

    • @tommigdal1
      @tommigdal1 ปีที่แล้ว

      My experiences mirrored yours. I tried a few more connections
      1. $12 amazon lightning connector to HDMI - failed, gave QR display that did not work
      2. $55 Apple Dual Lightning to HDMI plus USB-C in one connector - only Netflix, Hulu and Disney+ - no Apple TV content
      3. Amazon Fire Stick. Worked great. Access to all the items available on the fire stick. Used 120V outlet to power the fires stick. (very user friendly)
      4. Apple TV (2nd Generation- Not 4K). This model of Apple TV is bluetooth capable. I was able to mirror everything that was on my iphone to the apple TV. I used 120V outlet to power it. If you use a bluetooth capable AppleTV then your iphone does not need to be on the same wifi connection (that should be the only difference if you use an older model AppleTV).
      Final decision. Returned items 1 and 2 and put the apple TV back in my house. I just carry the Amazon fire stick. You will need to use a wifi hotspot or have the vehicle wifi activated to use the Firestick. Its mostly just myself and wife in the car so the back seat does not get used much. The kids are out of the house.

    Gonna be honest just got the Yukon Denali top model today and I’m a little disappointed with the media system. I feel like you should be able to technically airplay or screen share like I can with my smart TVs instead of all the lame cables and wires. Honestly why isn’t there a Disney or Netflix app on the screen that you can just open up on the touch screen?

    • @DaveBsellsChevy

    As an owner of a 2016 tahoe with 3 young kids the DVD player up front is something that I feel should be a must for a family. Way to much work to watch a movie. That's ridiculous, why do I need to carry around a DVD player ? 85000 car and I have to carry cords and boxes just to watch a movie. So dumb.
