This is great! Your story inspires me to plan a trip to the Salem and do more research. My 9th great grandfather was Joseph Towne, little brother to Rebecca (Towne) Nurse who was convicted and hung in 1692. I guess that means their father, William Towne, would be my 10th great grandfather.
Welcome! |I live about 45 minutes from Salem. Obviously have visited often. Three of my 9th grandparents were tried during the Witch Trials here. John Proctor was hung, the basis of the book and film, The Crucible. Ann Foster died in prison before her execution, her daughter and granddaughter, both named Mary Lacey, were accused. There were also many other trials around the Northeast. 24 communities alone in Massachusetts.
So amazing and intresting that you found out about your grandfather and got to see his house. That’s so crazy! I just loved this video so intresting! I would love to visit Salem! can’t wait to see more videos ❤
One of my relatives was killed during the Salem Witch Trials. I guess they found her odd because of how clean her house was & because she was educated.
